Wow, that is just sad. However, I do agree with the final statement in the article. She wants the media circus, let it pay for everything instead of us. | |||

My "holy" Manson shirt. It's ten years old and ripped to shreds but I will not toss it because it was my first band shirt, first Manson shirt, and first clothing purchase that I made on my own. That, and it's the Long Hard Road Out of Hell t-shirt and you just can't find it now.
Based purely on taste, do you prefer your chicken fried, grilled, or baked/roasted? |

Crystle nodded. She had felt like that at first as well, the drive to know more. However, the drive was more her own now than it is Raven's.
"I learned most people's names simply by watching. I've spent the last four years mostly observing people... you learn a lot about human nature that way. As for Mrs. Hill, I think to her most of our classmates minds are nothing more than moldy wheat bread. She glanced at the textbook on the table. She didn't like math. Understood it just fine, but still didn't like it. Looking back at Sarah, she chose her words carefully. "Not your own intelligence, huh? Like, how so?" |

"Interesting invention, Sarah... or should I say Sync?" Crystle stepped out of the shadows around the trees, her normally gray eyes looking more green.
"I figured you would be back for the scooter, so I waited. And yes, I followed you from Flannigans." She looked at Cody, nodding respectfully. "Mi'lord." |

"Dreck is such a vulgar word to one of my status, I would prefer you not use it."
Her voice had a strange accent as she spoke, but remained cool and very proper. It was clear that Sync did not know who she was, though she would be surprised if anyone did... the Court of Earth was very remote. Raven spoke through Crystle and observed through her eyes, but did not reveal herself any more than that. She was still not quite sure what Sync was, but she clearly needed to be dealt with. "I had a feeling that Sarah was aware, with her behavior patterns changing that wildly there was little chance that she was not. However, I did not think that the rift between a person and their Soul could be so great. You underestimate her, and thus do her wrong." She looked at Cody once more. "Where are the Werewolf and the Empath?" |

I came across it once on a search for something that happened at my school involving the women's studies department. It was the first result so I click on it and it was talking about how all of the faculty condemed one of the professors for claiming that whites were superior scientifically (all that eugenics stuff) and how women's studies was the last to sign the note of condemnation.... which then turned into a bunch of posts bashing women.
Horrible site, may they be hacked repeatedly. |

"Of course, please forgive my ill-choice of words. Sometimes English does not translate well the subtle nuances of my language."
She paused for a moment, seeming to consider some inner matter. "I suppose I should introduce myself. Lady Raven al'Shaldreth, Elven Loremistress of Alganna, Queen of Earth." She bowed slightly, as she could not curtsy properly without a dress. For a brief moment, her ears seemed longer, more pointed; and her eyes almond-shaped with an upward tilt. By the time she straightened, the changes were gone though her eyes remained green. "With John's hidden nature manifesting itself tonight it may not be safe to be out much longer. I wish you luck in finding him and I shall seek you in the cafeteria at lunchtime." She returned her gaze to Sync. "I suggest that you learn to work with Sarah instead of flaunting your own talents and behaving as a spoiled child. Come, let her regain her body so we may quit this place safely." |

"For now, you may call me Raven. I am sorry if I have caused you to reveal too much, I do not know what you have shared with Cody."
You're a Queen?! I thought that you said you served the Queen Crystle's thought sounded in disbelief. It was you that assumed Alganna was a person, not a place. It is the forest in which the court lies. I am Loremistress of my people, as well as the Earth Queen... though to an Elf, the former is the greater title. |

"Tinechor!"
A barrier shimmered around Raven as she dodged out of the way, eyes narrowed. "You would dare? Yala'amin n'tess earuile a' neuma gothamin!" Vines shot from the ground, moving quickly to ensnare Sync before she could attack again. ((reply to message)) |

Raven looked closer Sync. The name did not ring a bell, but the face was familiar... and that look. Her eyes widened in disbelief.
"Bronwyn?" Bronwyn? What are you talking about? Crystle said, deeply puzzled by the shift in Raven's mood. She's an exile, one we call 'Dark Elf'. I grew up with her. (Last edited by Elara on 04-16-09 01:13 AM) |

Raven stood silently for a moment, sadness in her eyes. Then she stood up straight and looked again at Sarah.
"I take it she has fled? You have a very dangerous and very tormented Soul, but now I understand why you have been treated so. I am sorry." Crystle's eyes faded back to gray as she resumed control. She looked weary and surprised at the same time. "Fucking hell! You okay?" She looked over at Cody... or was he still Kaijin? "I'm sorry for any trouble." |

Wow, man... just... wow.
So a big truck went by today and shook the apartment. For a few minutes I wondered if there had been an earthquake. |

"See you. Sorry about your leg... an icepack should take care of it."
Crystle turned and began walking down the road to her house, her thoughts swirling as she looked back on what just happened. "We are having a little chat when we get home, got it?" As you wish Raven replied. (Last edited by Elara on 04-17-09 12:54 PM) |

To Rogue: Wow, wtf. A simple answer for the girl-- if Stewart had been drunk it would have showed up on her autopsy and been ALL over the news. Also, I challenge her to dodge a speeding car like that. Dumb bitch.
Fuck not getting enough sleep. I had to get up at 3:30am today to go to work... I couldn't get to sleep until 12:30am. So tired. So very, very tired. Fuck essays. I'm sick of writing them, I want to sleep you bastards! |

Crystle walked in her front door to the expectant look of her parents.
"Sorry I'm late. A friend needed some help and I had no way to call you." "Then you shouldn't have helped them! Why couldn't you call? You have a cell phone for a reason!" Crystle sighed as she moved towards her room. "I forgot it on my bed this morning. Didn't you hear it ringing?" She picked up the phone... five voicemails and fifteen missed calls, all mom. "You know I'm not a little kid anymore." "We know that," her father shouted. "But your mother worries that something is going to happen to you and you'll end up dead in a fucking ditch so next time answer you goddamn phone!!" He always shouted when he didn't need to. Crystle felt her own temper rising but held it under control. Raven had helped her learn that, and it had proved useful. She used to fight all of the time with them. "I said I am sorry. That is all that I can do. Is there any dinner left?" "Yeah, it's in the microwave. I didn't want to put it in the fridge in case you were hungry," her mother said as she sat back down near the television. Crisis averted. "Thanks, mom." Crystle said as she went to the kitchen to warm up her dinner. It was her mom's homemade version of hambuger helper basically, ground beef with rotini pasta in a homemade tomato sauce and cheddar cheese. It was pretty good, even though reheating it dried it out a bit. Returning to her room with her plate, she closed the door and sat down on her bed to eat. "So," she said quietly. "Explain." I have explained to you the basics of what the Underworld is, and that we are governed by monarchies. "Yes, I know. I remember from my dreams as well." Well, there is a bit of a hierarchy with rulers. There are the kings and queens of the kingdoms, and then there are the Elemental rulers, of which I am one. We basically have a control over that element in the world. For example, I can control the speed in which the Earth turns with enough concentration, as well as control the growth cycle of plants. The Elemental Thrones are not always hereditary, but the house of Shaldreth has held the Throne of Earth for six generations now, and for elves that is a long time. There is also a Light King and a Dark King, who control the day and night respectively. Above us are the Elders, then the Council, and finally the Gods. "Okay. And what about the other stuff?" When I was a child, one of my dearest friends was a girl named Bronwyn. She was a noble, her family were the royal alchemists. We played together, gossiped, etcetera. You know, the things that children do. When we were nearing adulthood her grandfather took up most of her time, training her... or so we thought. It finally makes some sense now. "What do you mean?" Bronwyn's grandfather was obsessed with his craft and with all science in general. He believed that if he could combine the forces together that it would be possible to control all aspect of the world. He basically wished to create a god, but that is not possible. I can make plants grow but I cannot return a dead plant to life once more, for that would go against the natural order and have negative effects even if it worked. We deduced that he had altered Bronwyn in some way to try and give her that power, which apparently created Sync. I don't know what exactly happened, but during an experiment Sync killed him before Bronwyn could exert the control to stop her. When Bronwyn tried to bring him back using this science and instead created a Death Gate. Crystle paused, fork halfway to her mouth. "Huh? What the hell is a Death Gate?" A rift in reality that links directly to some kind of void. It sucked in her whole family save her "That is horrible!" Yes, it was. To the Elves, to kill is an unforgivable act. To banish a soul to a dark abyss would be worse than death. On top of that, what they were doing attempted not only to usurp the powers of the Elemental Rulers, particularly the Earth King, but to usurp the powers of the gods themselves. She was spat on during the trial. Even I was cruel, because I was angry. Bronwyn was condemned to death for her crimes. I was only heir to the throne at the time, and I chose not to go to the execution. Despite the horrors of her crimes and my anger over them, I could not watch her die. Sync killed the executioner apparently so we had no choice but to banish Bronwyn. From that moment on she was a Dark Elf, an exile. Her skin was stained with chemicals to darken it, an outward sign of her banishment, and she was driven from Alganna. I never thought to see her again. "How did you not recognize her?" We knew that a split in personality had occurred within Bronwyn, but we never knew it went by the name Sync. However, Sarah looks remarkably like Bronwyn in the face, and it sparked my recognition. "Oh. And what do you mean that it all makes sense now?" Well, the last I heard of Bronwyn she was near the sea. I knew that she would be trying to still find a way to bring her family back, and I assume that Sync might have the same goal. Given her attitude towards others, it seems that Bronwyn was dominated... maybe destroyed, so Sync feels she can do it better. Then she finds herself reincarnated in Sarah, and so she does the same thing "Uh... ok." Go to sleep, Crystle. We must rise early tomorrow. "Alright. Good night." Crystle put her plate back in the kitchen and got ready for bed. Tomorrow would prove interesting. Raven walked the halls of the castle until she came to the balcony overlooking the courtyard. A sculpture stood there now, of a flock of doves. It was a memorial to the Ile'fange family and the headsman that Sync had killed. "This is problem indeed. I only wonder if I can save her." |
