A guy I was talking to said it had something to do with his girlfriend. I seriously hope not, because that's the worst reasoning for shooting people ever. At least have a good reason.. like being bored. |

| I can't be the only person here who has to take these out every year.
This debt will ultimately be the end of my existence, I'm sure.. but everyone around me keeps telling me how important college is. Blah.. :| I'm more than a little pissed that my parents basically told me to go to college or move out when I was mid 18, but not only that, they hadn't saved one single penny for me to do so. Now I'm stuck with debt debt debt out the ass.. |

| You are one of the few people I know who actually knows what the hell they're talking about when it comes to student loans!
Most of my friends are like.. "I got.. SOME loan.. I don't know, man!" I have 6 thousand in Federal Stafford and PLUS loans currently. I got tired of paying out the ass for general education courses so I found out which community college people transfered in from and have decided to enroll there to get rid of my cores and shit, then transfer BACK to finish my Bachelor's. I _may_ get my Master's degree depending on how things turn out over the next couple of years. The good news, however is that I live at home and have no other payments to anything really. I can start paying my student loans while I'm ACTIVELY in school and hopefully be out of debt when I graduate! People try to tell me that my degree will be worthless (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art/Photography) but there a ton of career options available after graduation. |

| That's actually not true at all, Belial. Most of the "higher ups" at a major corporation my mom works for have Bachelors in Fine Arts.
You can get anywhere in life with ANY sort of college education, as long as you're not wanting to become something like a lawyer or doctor anyways. My Bachelors in Photography will ultimately put me in a position to make at least 50k starting. And these aren't crazy guess numbers, I've talked to the people I'd be working with. If I choose to do that, I'll probably exclusively do freelance which might end up making me even happier.. A great income from a business job and time to do what I love. |
