| I think I owe America a big apology. Looking back, I'm sure most of you could recall me saying "only Europe has real metal" but ... phew! I just keep finding so many good US bands lately, and some of them are reviving and putting out some albums better than half the European stuff I've listened to.
I've got my hands on all of Helstar's albums, and I'd have to say they're easily on the top 10 for me now. Their first four albums are completely solid, beating out some albums from giants like Iron Maiden / Helloween in my opinion. Helstar - Winds of War (A Distant Thunder). Those riffs in that song blow my mind. Hands down, godly band. Then I follow their awesome vocalist and discover he's been in a lot of newer stuff too, that's very good also. James Rivera myspace. Then he joins another one of my US favorites, Vicious Rumors (I think I mentioned them before and maybe even posted a song?), and its just amazing. They put out a new album last year "Warball" and its kicking. (Though, the song on their myspace from that album has their guitarist on vocals, thus they're not clear at all like Rivera. Listen to the VR: Warball song on James Rivera's myspace for a better example of their stuff. I totally love it). Then there's Laaz Rockit. Probably one of the best thrash bands I've ever heard, next to Heathen. They're just crazy. Euroshima (Know Your Enemy. I'm sorry buddy US, you rock.

Being one of the most active lovable employee's, and having worked at the same place for 2 years has its benefits. My managers love me. A few weeks ago, I called in sick about 6 hours late on a Saturday, then didn't realize I was scheduled open to close the next day (Sunday), so I didn't even go in. They just teased me about it "There's the 2 days late kid", but they didn't really care at all. I like to just not go in from time to time, or go in whenever thesedays. 
Haven't been written up yet. Trust me, I wasn't like this the first few months I was employeed. But then I saw how lazy half the staff was, and realized I can pull the same shit just as easily.

Yeah, things like that have happened to me with school. Though sometimes it was the opposite. I remember last semester I skipped almost everyday of Humanities (hence ... I dropped it |
 ), and then the few days I actually went, the teacher was gone.
Well, I called in actually, decided not to be a bitch about it. Luckily I'm not scheduled anyways! Though, I'm going up there later for them to do my brake pads.
I get to use our Jiffy Lube discount for the parts too.

The boss battles are pretty epic because the bosses themselves can be freaking huge. Some of them are up there with some of the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus. And they're taken down somewhat like many Zelda bosses. You can't really just shoot them, instead you have to find their weaknesses and take those down and whatnot.

And online play is just amazingly fun. I'm still playinng it pretty often, and I'd go to say I've enjoyed it even more than Gears of War. The only downfall is that the single player is extremely short. Probably just as long as Gears of War. But, its still really fun, and something you could probably go through multiple times. If not, there's the awesome multiplayer that'll surely keep you busy for a long time.
