I'm not too clear on this, but I think Rita is supposed to go back down to 3 by the time it hits land. Still though...so soon after Katrina? A level 3 is pretty bad...I just hope that those people will be alright. **shrugs** No matter how much science points to something being certain, I still cross my fingers that something will come along last minute to make it not so bad. If that made any sense.  |

| I agree with what Elara said on the whole senior year thing, and jobs and stuff. This year is just weird...as far as work is concerned, no, senior year is not the ultimate tough time. Cuz once you're outta high school, there's real life/college to worry about. Which in my opinion, college is like "real life", only you get graded on how you deal with it.
Anywho...my point is...as far as actual school work is concerned, no this isn't very tough...I've just noticed that even though the work is a bit easier, I have a lot more due in a lot less time. I've also been consumed in visiting colleges, SATs, ACTs, and other extracurricular activities that I'm being offered scholarship money for. Also, my lunch is a pretty early this year, rather than going into a long explanation to why that affects my sugar and why this way actually is better than the other choice, I'll just say that rather than be wide awake during my free time and being online posting and stuff, I'm asleep. That explanation may not affect the board itself really, but it's something that not only holds true for me, but may very well hold true to a lot of other people here. **shrugs** |

| **blinks** Sounds a bit like my family...I have 3 older and 4 younger sisters...and since they're all either step-sisters or half-sisters, we're all over as far as ages are concerned...the oldest being 33 and youngest going to be 3 in December. **shrugs**
But yeah, I second that Caiori is 14...and...**remembers going to see Charley and the Chocolate Factory** I wouldn't say he's ALWAYS a bit mature for his age. **giggles** Hmmm...and since other people are giving how old they are mentally...Well I honestly don't know how old I would be mentally. I'm 17. I'm still a child. Yes, I said it. But I want to be a child until I'm an adult. I'm going to be an adult for the rest of my life, so I'd like to enjoy the innocence of being a kid now, while I can. It goes too fast. That doesn't mean children can't be smart though. I don't mean in academics or anything either. I know how to go out with my friends and have fun. But I'm also responsible. I don't do things that hurt anyone or that could have negative permanent effects. Usually. Adult, child, whatever, I'm still human. So I'm NOT saying that I ALWAYS make the mature decision, or that I ALWAYS handle everything that life throws at me maturely, but I try. That's all anyone really can do. There's nothing wrong with being young. Just sit back, pay attention, and don't be afraid to consult anyone with more experience than you. Always go to more than one person. For one, everyone's different, so there is more than one right way to do things, and it all depends on you too...and there is also more than one wrong way to do things. So listen to others, and train yourself to decipher what's good and bad, that kinda stuff...then when it is time, you will be older, mature, and able to be there for those who were once in your place. Sorry for going off...I kinda stopped myself there so that there wouldn't be anymore overkill. |

| Jenny and Marty...that was their names. 'course they didn't last long because...well I come from a big family...If anyone needs someone to interact ith in this house, then they have issues. XD
But yes...Jenny and Marty...they lasted about three weeks until they died in tragic accidents. One of my little sisters drowned Jenny in the sink, and my brother-in-law sat on Marty. I'm still scarred...that was a whole...week ago. XD (not really...I was like 3, but I did like SWEAR that they were real and somehow got it in my head that they died...I watched too many movies.  ) |

**Does an UBER happy dance** Hockey's fucking back!!! Woot!! I for one am an extreme Flyer's fan. I criticize them a lot, but I'm still a fan. So far I think they're off to a good start for the season. I think we've lost like two games so far. (School sucks this year, even hockey is hard for me to keep track of now. )
Any comments on those rule changes? I for one am like lost, being as I've played hockey myself for so many years, I still get all pisy for a sec before realizing the rule was changed...but on the flip side, it does have less stops in the game. |

I've noticed some new ideas added up there before other people started throwing out some, and they're kickass. "most original user, most serious..." Those are new and I like 'em. | I don't study much either...I guess. I get a lot of written homework, and I put A LOT of time into my violin, cuz you can't just practice for an hour a day and get better...I also put a lot of time into my artwork. I have to send in portfolios and audition for a few things that will either make or break me in college.
I guess it could be called cramming, because when I do study, it's a night or two before the test...but I'm really anal about school. I can't go to college unless I do exceptionally well. So my grades are something I depend on. I've gotten so much money in scholarships so far, it's unreal...I'm actually proud of the work I've done in the past years, it's this year that's killing me as far as grades are concerned. So yes, I'm a nerd, I pay attention all day in class, and can retain the information very well...I just get really nervous when tests come up, that if I sometimes get sick...and the information gets jumbled inside my mind that I need to study... The environment in which I study HAS to be silent. It's a petpeeve of mine. Oh, and my tummy has to be full. Teehee. I can't do anything on an empty stomach it seems. XD

| Um...I know I'm a bit late in this thread, and might not be able to offer much help as far as the Wiccan religion goes in general (I myself am looking into it whenever I can, and don't know that much yet)
But here goes (and believe it or not, as off topic as it seems, I do have a point and I'm not just rambling for once)....so a little theory I came up with a bit ago...no one knoes anything for certain actually. Like as far as religion goes in general, ya know? So like what if there really is one superior power, or maybe even more than one, we don't know...but it's really unlike anything any of us here on earth believe it. Maybe there's a lesson to be learned? Maybe that we need to respect everyone for their beliefs, whether it's something we believe ourselves or not, and to learn and grow from one another? I myself am a bit unclear as to what beliefs I want to follow. I don't know which feels right to me...therefore I'm trying to learn a bit about as many other religions as I can. For mutiple reasons...more respect for other religions, it'd help me find the one that's right...and I honestly feel that even if you respect other religions, knowing a bit about others can make you more solid in your own.... K...my point being...because as I skim through this thread, even though it's all under the same general idea of Wicca...there are so many different ways of Wicca just put out here. My advice for you Xeios, is to learn abuot as many different types of Wicca here as you can. In my eyes it's all true....if that makes sense...whether you believe in certain gods and goddesses or not...it's all just as real as the other. It's what's right for YOU and how YOU as a person react to things and treat other people and the environment in which you live. Sorry for going on like that, but I just wanted to support my point here is all. Opinions should be supported I think. But yeah, I just don't want you to get confused or anything Xei, with these different variations of things. Just respect them all, look into them and find what is for you. Then, go with that, be faithful to that and just respect others. |

| No one here has really broken anything?!
The long list of broken bones began at the age of two sadly. My mom was retarded, and rather than walking down the steps before me, she had me go first. (This isn't something I remember too well, the entire story was relayed to me) So, she was walking behind me when someone downstairs said "Shit" really loud. I repeated it, my mom smacked me in the back of the head, and down I went. Broke both knees and ankles I was told. (I know something was broken, but I think there may have been more noticable damage even now, considering I wasn't done growing when this happened and the joints the accident consists of) Funny thing is, I do vaguely remember lying at the bottom of our stairs and my cat sitting right next to my head. But that's about all I remembered. I was told that the cat zoomed in from the kitchen while I was falling, when I stopped, she ran up to me, and attacked everyone who went near me. My pop still has the scars from when he had to just grab the cat and take her away so the ambulence can get me. That cat was really nasty... So now I have arthritius in all 4 joints, my knees are okay, but my ankles are like really messed up. Then there was all those years of hockey...getting into fist fights...broke my wrist a few times, thumb...etc... |
