| A very rational take on it Vulkar. I am sure the born-agains might rip you to shreds, but I have never been one for literal interpretation of holy scripture anyway. I mean, according to my religion my gods die once a year and are born again in an endless cycle, but I know this is representative of the cycle of the seasons that pagan religions are based in so I don't go overboard about it.
Personally, I kinda feel the same way you described it, who says that some higher power didn't set off the Big Bang? Technically, by doing that, you could say that this higher power, call it whatever you will, did create everything. Cave people. They existed, there is too much empirical evidence to say otherwise. This again goes back to my previous statement, if a higher power set off the Big Bang, then they did create us because how else would the matter have got there? As to the whole "shaping in His image" thing that the Judeo-Christians believe, well that I feel is most likely not true and was put in there by the writers to make us feel important. Like Prometheus giving us fire or something like that. So yeah, I think live evolved just like science says it has, because again there is just too much evidence to ignore. |

Yeah, baby steps are key for this. Start small, like watching a movie or reading a book. Something just for you. My advice as far as she goes, stop talking to her now and wash your hands of it. There is nothing more you can do there, and it is not worth your time.

But yeah, reading, drawing, etc are good goals. Fall semester is starting up, see if you can get into a new class, like dance or tennis or a different kind of art class. Something fun and challenging. Also, consider seeing a therapist for the depression, especially since you keep feeling suicidal. Your friends that cut ties with you are insensitive fucktards that don't understand what depression is and you are better off without them. Believe me. We care about you and want you to get better, and all of us are here to listen when you need us, but we understand that you need some time off. I just hope our suggestions help. And as always, if I find out you jumped into traffic or something I will show up and kick your butt! Ph34r My Wr47h! And no, I don't know why I slipped into l337.

Deep in an ancient jungle stands the mostly intact ruins of a great arena. The cyclopean grey stones stand silently against the encroachment of the wilderness, the stands now crumbling as vines coat them and trees take root in the cracks. The wide central arena itself stands clear and in good condition, however.

In the center of the arena stands a very tall woman in black leather and mithril armor, whose large bat-like wings jut from the back of her breastplate and frame a bow and quiver. In her hands is a large sword carved from obsidian and wreathed in black flames. Her long black hair shines with the last rays of the sun as it sinks below the treeline, and a full moon begins to light the area with a silvery glow. Her purple eyes, like polished amethyst, scan the surroundings as she waits for her opponent, her pointed ears keen to hear the sound of movement. The jungle life falls silent, as the word spreads that Jade Shar has emerged from her chaotic realm once more.

Seriously though, welcome back, we've missed you! Nice on the job and the car. Freemasons and a Shriner huh, you sound like my boyfriend's dad (Mason family, such fun). Uh... lesse... I got new boyfriend (over 2 years now), moved out of the house, got my BA and I am moving to Pennsylvania this fall. Oh, and have cats. Can't forget the cats... they won't let me.
