And america cars pwn every other brand  they pioneered most of the new tech. Ie Fuel injection, Variable valve timing (thought the japs had their own, the GM version is the basis they use, cause it works!!!!  ) the small block engines etc.
But foreign cars are nice to. And germany had the first working cars, but most of the engines and tech was inveted in america first /rant (and fx that rant wasnt twoards you, Im just a gear head, any chance to talk cars, I jump on it XD) Thats a Very nice car elara congrats on it. yeah your mechanic is right, some older mazdas blow, mostly the rotary engine ones. but yours is nice, 4 cyl right?

im 100% sure your Mazda has a FORD Zetec 4cyl 2.0L DOHC. but watch out, those 2.0 have been known to have problems with prematurely turning oil to sludge long before its supposed to. So change the oil a little bit before the 3,000 mile mark. |

Red/pink or brown/black? 3: if its brown or black smell it, if it smells like ass, its burnt and you most likely will need a rebuild depending on how long the fluid has been like that, all the grit will be worn off the clutch packs and the seals may have harden, thus when new fluid is put in its viscoity is better and leaks past the seal into the clutch packs, and parts of the valve body were it doesnt need to be and causes "slipping" which equals a new trans. let me know what happens, and well go from there. depending on fluid condition. It may be save able
a little off topic, trans fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles or every year. but what I fear is that the fluid may be the original from the factory. yours should be on its 4th or 5th fluid change. if you ever wanna talk to me on aim elara my name is still in my profile, im usually on. Im gonna ask the mechanics at my work and see if they know anything bout your trans model. if you cant figure out how to check the fluid, let me know ill try to take some pictures of under my hood to give you a general idea of were to look for the dipstick and what your fluid shouldnt look like, cause mine is pure black, and i cant change it cause i cant afford a rebuild, but it still works so im not complaining XD (Last edited by Spyware on 08-09-06 05:27 PM) |

| I enjoyed it but im agreeing with hobo (as i said in my first post about the heavyness)
I loved the album cover, the tank with the skeleton soldiers. I like most of their artwork. Mainly because of eddie I just wish they had a CD as good as powerslave with the same artwork(the egyptian eddie was my fav)
