Yes and no, but true nonetheless.
The person below me has forced other people to watch 2 Girls 1 Cup. |

Is anyone else having issues with YouTube loading things? Seems like videos from other sites, and other sites in general tend to load pretty quickly, but YouTube lags SOOO much.
I just restarted Firefox, since I've left it open for a few days with a bunch of tabs open, and even in closing them and with the memory usage down it's now loading slower. I've been noticing this definite lag for over a month now. Is this happening with anyone else? |

Since it seems a few people don't look at Last Posts, I wondered how members were checking for new content.
Feel free to mark all that apply. |

What the hell is up with the poll? I put like 5 options and when it posted it left one out. And now when I've come back to check it the first option just read "Check" as opposed to "Check Last Posts."
I think I was inspired to ask this when someone wrote something like, "I didn't even know there was a button for that" after I mentioned the Last Posts link at the top. Well, I was also wondering why some threads would get passed up while others got a lot of traffic. |

I've also been noticing that when I hit pause to let it load or because I'm about to step out of the room or whatever, it will just suddenly play at random.
I've been having these issues on multiple computers. |

Yeah, Entertainment Weekly was the first to get to print an official image of him in the suit. Link.
I've already heard several dozen fanboys bitch about it. Honestly, I never really got into the Green Lantern corps. To me it's just guys with rings that make them powerful which they suddenly have to charge when the plot is at a fevered pitch. Green Arrow all the way, baby. EDIT: Fucking typos. When Borat came out and everyone was raving about what great satire that was, I answered that with, "If Borat is satire, then Jackass is performance art commenting on the impermanence of life and the universe and that one should live each day to the fullest."
Granted I spotted a single piece of satire in Borat (the rodeo scene), but it made me stop and think about the purpose of Jackass. Number Two ended with the boys doing a musical number from La Cage aux Folles, which was pretty much about how tomorrow is uncertain so the now the best time to live hard. So yeah, I stand by the above statement. |

After finally asking my parents what Lola has, it appears to be Alzheimer's.
I figured as much. Things have been all right so far this week, although she's definitely been running my mom ragged. |

Originally posted by Phoenix I'll put it to you this way. I don't think Ryan Reynolds will suck at the part, but I'm not much of a Green Lantern fan to begin with. So I'm not in with those upset that he's Hal Jordan. |

I've been thinking about this situation and wondering how fake it could be, like the finger in the Wendy's chili or all the people who've claimed to find condoms in soup. I just don't see a family purposely infecting their child for money. I mean, I could believe there are people that evil, but I don't think this is the case.
And the hotel very suddenly became college dorms. That might be a reflection of how terrible the place was that it was sold off so quickly. What gets me, though, is how reckless someone who has at least one STD could be by not disposing of their fluids and prophylactics. The boy has what looks and acts like herpes now. So a person who has that and is aware of it, just leaving it in a hotel bed? Even if you think so lowly of maid service that's just despicable to leave. |

First week of school is almost over. I just have my graphic novel class today. Woot. The class has 14 textbooks. Not so woot. But woot nonetheless since they're all comics. I shall woot again!
Five classes and two of them only meet once a week. Kinda woot (they meet at night). |

Originally posted by Phoenix Yeah, it's an English class that pretty much looks at graphic novels as a literary form. The teacher who started this class (this is its first semester ever) also started a Harry Potter class a couple years ago, and a Vampire Lit class last year. The books for this class (thankfully I already owned four of them): - "Understanding Comics" by Scott McCloud - "Maus" Parts 1 & 2 by Art Spiegelman - "The Complete Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi - "A Contract with God" by Will Eisner - "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller - "Watchmen" by Alan Moore - "Astonishing X-Men: Volume 1, Gifted" by Joss Whedon - "Sandman: Dream Country" by Neil Gaiman - "Y: The Last Man" Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan - "Fables: Legends in Exile" by Bill Willingham - "Astro Boy" by Osamu Tezuka - "Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation" by Ray Bradbury - "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" by Michael Chabon (NOT on a comic, actually!) - "Une Semaine de Bonte: A Surrealistic Novel in Collage" by Max Ernst Yeah, our teacher's a huge Buffy fan and says Joss Whedon's her favorite writer. ICK! He's fine writing his own characters, but as far as I'm concerned he ruins things. |

Trespassing. A lot of California is now owned by someone else, and even if you just want to look up at the stars in a darkened area, you can't be in those areas from certain hours or what have you. You can't just wander (legally) any more.
If you were somehow able, would you attend your own funeral (you really are dead, you're just able to see and hear everything that's going on like you're a fly on the wall)? |

It helps when the people you're passing aren't actively posting.
Nagis came back just as I was about to pass him. |
