| So, yesterday at 8:30am PST Ben and I left Long Beach for our drive to Slippery Rock PA. We are currently in a Wendy's in Amarillo, TX at 1:42pm central time... so 11:42am back in Long Beach. We had a five hour stopover in Lake Havasu, AZ to visit Ben's aunt but other than that we are making great time and plan to be in PA on Friday. Driving straight through, switching off driving. Might sleep awhile at a family friend's in Joplin tonight.
The cats finally got used to the car... when it was my turn to drive instead of sleep. As a result, I have had about 20 minutes of sleep in the last 28 hours, and I have been driving since we left Albuquerque at 6:30am MST... a fun experience to say the least. On the plus side, we outran the massive storm hitting the southwest just before it was my turn to drive, which is nice. Cold as hell though, but I am doing well. Wish me luck on the next leg of the trip, I am going to go nap now. |

| Lots of cows, strange billboards, stuff like that. We just hit Indianapolis, it is almost 8pm here and I have been driving for eleven hours. It was sleeting in Flagstaff when we went through... weather has been cloudy since New Mexico but no rain or snow. There is old snow here in Indiana but I don't think we have a chance of hitting actual snowfall until Pennsylvania. Looks like we will be getting there around midnight, then the battle of cats vs poodle will begin. Bets? | |||

| We got in around 3:30am est after a few stops (white castle and sheetz). There were some flurries once we hit Pennsylvania but no actual snowfall. Lots on the ground though.
So far I am unsure who is winning the battle. Teddy is a much nicer dog now and is very friendly and curious... and the cats are... well... dogphobic and cowards. They have bent a curtain rod and broke a set of blinds running from the dog. We have kept them in a closed room since then. Oh boy. |

| Where in Nevada were you? But yeah, I have noticed that Nevada drivers are just as bad as California drivers... but almost worse because they think they are better.
Fuck chapped lips. They were kinda chapped when we left and the cold has them hurting like hell and nothing makes them better! Also, fuck you dad for waking me and Ben up by calling... yes, it was only 8:30pm but we are tired and acclimating to new time zone and climate. Now we cannot sleep. |

| Where was that version of the holiday special?
It doesn't feel like Christmas at all, even though I am looking out the window at all the snow. I think we are just adjusting from the move. Ben's mom doesn't have a tree up because next week we should be moving into the new house so there was more important stuff to do. We are having a nice roast tonight though. |

| *Jade grunted as the knee made contact with her side, feeling a crack in her ribs that sent pain shooting through her.*
"Ugh!! ARRRGH!!" *Jade's eyes flashed as she began to lose control, slipping into a rage. Muscles enlarged, claws and incisors seemed larger and a crackling energy suddenly exploded from her body, leaving destruction in it's wake. It was only by sheer will that she pulled back from entering her divine form* Enervation Blast- On occasions when Jade loses control and gives over completely to her rage, a massive burst of negative energy explodes from her, destroying anything in it's path. In modern terms it resembles a mini-nuclear blast. Any opponent caught in the blast is affected by the Enervation spell, but five times as powerful (in addition to the effect of her Goddess form) 100ft radius. Enervation- A jet of crackling black negative energy shoots from Jade's fingers, draining 10% of the strength from her opponent and giving it to Jade. Jade can also infuse this energy into her sword to deliver the same attack when she hits an opponent with her weapon. |

Fuck not having proper internet. I am using my cell phone for now, and at the moment am on Ben's mom's computer... should be back to normal once we move into the new house but for now we are dying here as far as getting stuff done online. |

| Ironically the only bad drivers I have seen so far have had Pennsylvania plates... no idea how to drive in a mall parking lot apparently. Snowstorm didn't get this far west, though there was a good one here before we got out here. Only some light snow since then but below freezing temps. Looking forward to the warmer weather this weekend so I can go get the dirt washed off my car. | |||
