Well, yesterday (May 1st) was the group trip to the southern California Ren Faire for me, Cryus, GuardianOni, WhiteRose, Pockets, AngelBayB49, and Zabuza. It was real fun, shows were great, prices went up a bit (sadly), but it was fun... and then there was the best part...

Cryus, Oni, and Pockets proposed to me, WhiteRose, and AngelBayB49... on stage... in front of a whole crowd of people. There is a show called The Bold and Stupid Men, it's a hilarious show mainly because at one point women can voulnteer their men to be dragged on stage to learn "manly behavior". The boys had talked with the two guys that do the show earlier and planned this out, so when we were there all three were chosen. At the end of the session in public humiliation (as I call it) the men are supposed to go back to their women (who are standing up then) and kiss them... but they kept Cryus, Oni, and Pockets on stage. So the two guys that do the show called us up there as their “final judges” because they were not “up to par”. So they lined us up with each girl facing her man with space between us and they did the “bold and stupid man pose” which made me laugh, then they told us to stand next to our men while they were still holding that pose. As soon as we were there (and the audience figured it out), the two guys told Oni, Pockets, and Cryus to “assume the position… you know what to do”, so all three of them dropped to one knee and proposed at the same time. But that wasn't all (damn you Pockets). They went and plotted further so that when we went to watch the Queen's Court we were called up before her and recieved her blessings... yeah, we got blessed by Queen Elizabeth I, whoo hoo! AngelBayB49 has the pictures (taken by Zabuza as he and a group of our friends watched from the crowd) and shall post them as soon as she sees this. Then I'll move this to Sunset, but for now I wanted this in General so everyone could see it.

I was in on the Oni/WhiteRose plan, and I suspected the Pockets/Angel part... but I had no clue about Cryus doing that to me. It didn't hit me until he was on one knee, and even then it took a moment to sink in. Time was a blur and then it stopped... and later I started crying from happiness... but yeah, best day ever. And my parents are dense... we decided to not tell them and just wait til they notice the ring... I practically had it under their noses and they didn't notice it. This may take awhile.

Yeah, we are lucky. My mom finally spotted the ring today, so the cat is out of the bag and they both know now... and surprisingly they didn't flip, since we told them that we're waiting a year or two to get married since we want to get careers going and stuff. Must get Cryus to post in here dammit. |

And since the list is so long I figure that it will list what doesn't apply to me since it's shorter: - Takes drugs (caffiene excluded) - Is excessively awake during the night - Misbehaves at school (skipping class doesn't count) - Misbehaves at home (technically I don't) - Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this (first off, it's Count Chocula idiots! I hate marshmallow cereals) - Dances to music in a provacative or sexual manner (nope, but there go those hip hoppers) - Wears pins, stickers, or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead," "woe is me," "I'm a goth" (I'm sorry, those sound stupid) - Claims to be a goth (rarely, I prefer to say I'm quasi-goth if I have to label myself as anything. | |||||||||||||||||||
