I've seen this thread quite a few times since I've been on thie board.  **shrugs** Oh well...since there are a lot of newer people since then...here I go.
Katana is a character I made when I was younger. She's revamped quite a bit, but still has a lot of qualities that are still the same. Like she's a lot like me, cuz when I was making her up, my older sister told me that she had to be just like me. **shrugs** Dun ask. I was little, my sister was god to me then, and that's the short version of it anyways. :p So yeah...She's the first actual character that I ever made/finished/and kept up with so she's a bit special to me. |

Anywho...I usually never do the resolution crapola, but this year I decided to give it a try. -Bring my grades back up to what I'm used to. -Manage my time better. -Not in a selfish way or anything, but make more time for me and to pretty much be a kid while I still can. School has been such a hassle lately and was extremely stressful this year. The semester is almost over, so I plan on starting over and taking things a bit differently. I'm gonna hang out with my friends more and do other stuff other than anything dealing with school. I used to be in that kinda happy medium and my grades were MUCH MUCH better then. -It just hit me how much I really miss this board, so I'm also making a resolution to be on and more active. It's pretty sad when I went from being fairly well-known here, to hardly recognizing the usernames I see now. I plan on changing that and getting to know you guys a bit more. This board has always been effective in helping to relieve my stress and I really enjoy being here and all that stuffers. :p |

| I downloaded a bit of their songs and I like them. Though I agree with Sparda, I don't think they are the best (That's prolly because I can't choose between music anyways), I also think they are amazing in their own way. |

 I have yet to see the movie. I have high expectations for it though, Peter Jackson is really giving himself quite a name as a director...but I have this thing with not seeing why the re-makes can't stick with the original. Like, why re-make a really good movie that was made years ago, add some cool special effects, but change the movie? Like "War of the Worlds"...the original kicked ass! 'Least I thought it did...I would've been extremely pleased to see that very same movie only with the technology that we have today. Don't get me wrong, I do understand that things really have to be changed sometimes, but there's a way to do it.
So...biggest reason for my high expectations of the film...when I saw the trailer for "King Kong" when I saw "War of the Worlds", I knew it was Kong not 15 seconds into the trailor. Why? Because I've seen the oringinal dozens of times and from that trailer, it was VERY close to the original. Gah...I hope I made some sense there.   |

I was in the play my sophomore year and it was a really fun and kickass show to do. The musical score is wonderful! Then again, it's Andrew Lloyd Webber. So yeah... 
I have yet to see the movie version of this show though. **shrugs** |

| With a swift tug, Fallon pulled the ribbon out of her hair, allowing her long hair to hang loosely about her. Almost as if timed, as her hair fell, so did the creature's now seemingly lifeless body. It landed with a sickening slump to the ground. Fallon did not cringe, nor was she proud of her small victory. She simply turned, looked at the thing. She seemed to get lost in her own little world as she stared, waiting for the mutant's body to give off the slightest movement.
It's not dead... Fallon thought grimly as she stood there. I know I'm not too far ahead. I won't have to hold these things off for long. She didn't want to stand out in the open like an idiot, baiting them to attack, yet Fallon knew it wouldn't be a good idea to be someplace where she may miss the others. Fallon had no idea what to expect of the people she was waiting for. She was told nothing other than they were still human and like her. |

| Okay, I know this may be a bit of a bump...but hey...this is an interesting topic.
My college plans? Well first my career plans. Writing...I like it and I plan on keeping it as a hobby and I just may publish something when I have the guts to let people see my writing. However, the only way I can see myself having a career out of it is if I just get lucky and something I write hits it big...or...if it has something to do with the film industry. I want to do something with movies, that I'm certain of. My dream is to become like my idols Steven Speilberg and George Lucas, and Peter Jackson is making his way up there as an idol of mine. Film is something I've always been truely passionate about. That still doesn't narrow things down though. I like creating special effects, I like writing scripts, I like directing, producing, hell, I've often considered being a stunt double! Or maybe dosomething with the musical scores of films. **shrugs** There's so many other things I could get into. So yeah, that's my main goal. Then there's art, writing, astronomy, and music...my other interests and possible fall-backs. However, like I said before, those will always be my hobbies and if I go career with them, it's most-likely because I just got lucky doing somethig I enjoyed doing with my free time. Now, college. I just checked, double, and even tripple checked my sources and I'm fairly positive that I just recieved a $100,000.00 scholarship...on top of the stuff I've accumulated through other grants. I'm too scared to get excited about that because there's still a slight chance it all can fall through, and my luck sucks that way. At the same time, no I'm not bragging, but I've worked too hard to deny myself excitement over this scholarship if I do recieve it. So no, I'm not going to say "Oh, school is a piece of cake." Cuz lemme tell you...it's not. :p So yeah. Things are still up in the air as far as MY final decision is concerned, but even without the scholarship, I'm pretty set for college. | Again, bumped a bit...but hey! Some interesting topics came about while I was inactive!
They do senior pictures and class rings at the end of junior year in my high school. It actually makes things a lot easier that way. I didn't order mine through the school though. The prices were insane! and though they were pretty, I got mine from Walmart and it's just as pretty and it came to a grand total of $130.00. To me, that is still a lot of money. However, it's still a bit special to me because my family insisted that I had one, I got it around my birthday, so a bunch of them chipped in for it as a birthday present. So yeah, that's the real reason why it's important to me. And for people that say they there's no point because you change and it might not fit forever anyway...well, if you honestly see no other reason in getting one anyway, then that's fine. But for other people...**shrugs** Well like in my case, even if it doesn't fit anymore, I could always wear it around a chain or something, or pass it down to either my kids, grandkids, or someone else really important to me. |

| Meh, the Nightwish thread made me think about this.
Anywho...has anyone else heard of any chick bands and really like any? My interest in them started with Evanescence, and while I still think they're cool, I've found a few that I like better. I'd have to say that Lacuna Coil is my absolute favorite though. Thank Spyware for getting me into them. :p They're really the only two bands that I've really heard a lot of their stuff. Then there's Nightwish, Garbage, and a few others, but I've only gotten around to hearing a song or two of all the others. So yeah...anyone else think they kick ass? 'Course most of them aren't an ALL girl band, but the vocalists are usually chicks at least. They don't have to be of any specific genre either. Just let us know who you like and who you've heard of. I for one find it a bit more difficult to search for this stuff than dude bands. :p |

| Maybe I did get too far ahead Fallon thought as she slumped against a piece of rubble that was leaning upright against a rundown building. With a flick of her slender wrist, she removed a strand of hair gone stray and floated down across her face. Her eyes quikly scanned the area surrounding her.
To her right was almost a complete dead end. Cars, rubble,anything that once inhabbited the city blocked the path. Directly in front of her was a building of enourmous stature and to her left was the enterance to one of the underground transportation systems. That was how Fallon herself arrived at the scene and was fairly sure that the others may do the same. Fallon stood there, waiting. Every once in a while the creature would groan or twitch until she kicked it in the head again, rendering it unconscious once again. (OOC: Bear with me people.:p I am not a NYC Native like Chaos Boy over here, so my descriptions are a bit lacking.) |

| Meh...everytime I make an attempt at SIM, the battle gets nowhere. Either i become inactive or my SIM partner does...so...yeah.
I do have a few things in mind here. For starters, I'd like to keep this as simple as possible. So no uber thingies that would most likely kick my ass in the first post. I know how to loose easily to someone, I'd like to get some practice and learn to give 'em hell at least, before I go down. Otherwise, I only demand that the usual rules be followed and I ask, above all else, for someone patient. **smiles sheepishly** 
The green grass seemed to form a small wave as the wind whistled across it. The yellow flowers seemed to bow to the wind as it passed by, and everything in the distance seemed to glisten under the sunlight(Think Final Fantasy: Advent Children). Katana raised a hand gingerly to her forehead to shield her eyes from the sun as she stood and waited for her challenger. |
