I thought that if they make a change to the list it only effects the newcomers like most of the other schools... makes no sense to have a change in requirements that happens partway through your senior year cost you your graduation because when you took the class it was on the accepted list.

Um... I was kinda surprised when I finally found a hat that looked good on me, but I think the last time that I was amazed by how something looked was in my junior year of high school when I got a pay of vinyl pants and wore them with this acid green top with black mesh.... I should scan the pic of me in that outfit one of these days... it was me at my thinnest. What is the weirdest spot you have had a pet claim as their own?

Honestly, she should file for divorce right now and have his shit waiting on the lawn to pick up. Like others have said, I am proud of you for doing right by your family, especially when your mother has already done so much. But like Gurren said, don't give it all up without first looking for financial aid. Have you filed for FAFSA yet? It paid all of my tuition and then some, and that could help, even if you can only take a class or two a semester. As for why you feel different than last time... well, I assume that a great deal of it is because this man is NOT your biological father, so there is less attachment. Also the way in which this occurred gives you every right to be angry. And then there is the age thing that you mentioned... you are more mature and better able to understand what is going on. I don't know the details about when your dad left or how your views of them have changed since you were five, but I would assume that they are not the same as they were back then either. Might I ask what the argument between your sister and step-father was even about?

Largest quake in Japan's history so I hear. There have been two large aftershocks and on Wednesday there was a 7.2 in the same area. I hear conflicting reports on the size of the tsunami that hit... anywhere from 6 to 10 meters. Tokyo stopped, trains, subways etc all shut down. The quake was felt as far away as Beijing, China. Video of tsunami this was made earlier when they thought it was a 7.9. Tsunami warnings have been issued for the majority of countries along the Pacific coast.

I know what you mean. This is a horrific natural disaster and I just hope that they can contain the problems they are having with some of the nuclear plants over there... it would be even worse for Japan to have to deal with a nuclear event on top of everything else. |

I think it is more pulling bodies out of water than rubble... but yeah. I learned two things about the news coverage here thanks to this story... firstly that we only get NBC, MSNBC, and CNN with out current cable company, and secondly that only the later two of that list bothered to cover the story. In Los Angeles they had it on all the news stations apparently.

I think that all the areas hit by the tsunami are getting help, but it is still good to offer aid to Japan because this was a very large disaster and it is nothing to make light of, at all.

I have a few vague memories of being three, more from four and an onward. Luckily Disneyland was a yearly thing, but my parents said that the first time we went, when I was about four or so, I cried when I saw the wicked witch in the Snow White ride and I do not remember it AT ALL.

But yeah, I am a huge supporter of the" don't take your kids places until they can remember them"... especially amusement parks.

I think it was insensitive and incredibly stupid... but it should not be news, at least not major news. Maybe a mention after the head of the school replied talking about the back and forth... but things like this should not be major stories.

It is really sad that the media is using sources like Facebook, YouTube, 4Chan, Wikipedia and Twitter for their news broadcasts. What happened to actual investigative journalism? What happened to people wanting to get a story good enough to earn them an award? This is not Pulitzer (or whatever the broadcast equivalent is) material!

The wait time does get rather insane... but I also haven't been since they redid it. What I always liked was the animatronics you got to see... though Star Tours was more entertaining there. But no, I loved Space Mountain. |
