Evo: PM is a waste of time for me. It's like a (crude) extension of email. I say what I gotta say, bluntly as usual, with no care of feelings. I hate the sugarcoating element. I just find it hard to believe (with the exception of Xeo and his inability to think outside the box) that anyone would feel themselves to have the same mental maturity age as their physical age.

It's a methodology of thinking. It's how your mindset works, and what that would relate to in a physical age. I'm personally stuck in a virtual age (by choosing) of -2. Just because.

But, I've been an adult longer than you have, Evo. The pending having of a kid doesn't make you an adult. It just makes you pregnant.

I have responsibilities, both to myself and others. I have a career, bills, commitments, objectives, and somewhat of a free time schedule. I've been an outlaw, and I've been on the side of the law. I've worked with every degree of person you could ever imagine. I've been seeing school therapists since I was in third grade (it stopped when I graduated from high school). Life is harsh, but you make of it what you want.

But, this is totally off-topic. I'm 23, going on 24. That's it.

In Mexico, my cousin was driving around at the age of 12. In the US, we issue licenses at the age of 16 (that should change, you people increase my insurance). It should be 18. I didn't get my license till I was 18 mostly because I didn't need a vehicle until I started going to college. Kids, yes kids, don't need licenses until they're 18 anyway. Adult responsibility, not parental.

Direct from the horse's mouth, thanks to working for Activision:

THE WAR BEGINS
QUAKE 4 PC DEPLOYED TO STORES NATIONWIDE

Santa Monica, CA – October 18, 2005 – The Global Defense Force has been given the green light to invade the Strogg home planet as id Software™ and Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that QUAKE 4™ for the PC has shipped. The long-awaited sequel to QUAKE II®, QUAKE 4 enlists gamers in the role of Matthew Kane, a member of the legendary Rhino Squad, to penetrate deep into the heart of the Strogg war machine and engage in a series of heroic missions to destroy the barbaric alien race. QUAKE 4 for the PC is available at retail outlets nationwide for a suggested retail price of $49.99. Additionally, fans can purchase the QUAKE 4 Special DVD Edition for a suggested retail price of $59.99, which includes QUAKE II, the QUAKE II expansion packs, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Both versions carry an “M” (Mature) rating by the ESRB.

Again, since I just finished working on this project (often referred to online as "Project X" by me), here's the official press release info for the game:

ACTIVISION’S TONY HAWK’S AMERICAN WASTELAND

The game allows players to skate and BMX bike from seaside Santa Monica, to the star-studded sidewalks of Hollywood, to the gritty streets of East L.A. as they customize and upgrade their characters, unlock new tricks and choose their missions without loads or levels. Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland also takes the action to new heights with expanded controls that allow players to pull off more sick tricks than ever before and new multiplayer modes including Xbox Live® support and a two-player co-op classic mode.

“Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland is a major step forward for the brand,” said Will Kassoy, vice president of global brand management, Activision, Inc. “For the first time ever, players have the freedom to experience continuous action through an immersive and humorous storyline inspired by the roots of the sport.”
In a plot-twisting story that pays homage to the roots of skateboarding and punk style, Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland puts players in the shoes of a young rebel skater who makes his way to Los Angeles, the mecca of skateboarding. Once there he must prove himself to Tony Hawk, legendary skaters such as Tony Alva, and local pros, while constructing the ultimate, trick-filled skate park. Gamers can customize their character all in-game as they travel throughout the vast areas of Los Angeles. New player controls, both on and off the board allow for insane combos and include bert slides, stalls, Natas spins handstands, one-footed grinds and manuals, wall runs, wall flips, board smacks and board throws.

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland features online gameplay for up to eight players for both Xbox Live and PlayStation 2 Online. In addition, Classic Mode returns with an all new two-player co-op mode where gamers can compete alone or alongside friends in their favorite Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater® levels as they race against a two-minute timer to complete favorite goals such as “Pro Score,” “Combo Letters,” and “Skate Letters.”

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland was developed by Neversoft Entertainment and is now available for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCube™ for a suggested retail price of $49.99. Called mom yesterday to find out how she's doing in Mexico. Learned that one of my aunts, entrusted to care of the housing and rent while we're here (we own a home in Mexico), stole the two years worth of rent money. $22,000 pesos (roughly $2500 USD) gone. No receipts. She denies it. The tenant says he paid. We already knew she was a sneaky cheat, so we're siding with the tenant. The most I have to say is that they're lucky I'm here or heads would roll. My mom may be a pushover, but I don't take shit from anyone. Once you've lost my respect for you, I don't care if you are an elder and/or family, I ain't taking your shit and you're gonna hear my shit. So, I'm saving up money to go to Mexico sometime in the winter so I can help straighten out this situation.

Twenty-two fucking thousand pesos! What the fuck!? Who would do that? Why would she fucking do that? I mean, I know that they're all mistaken into thinking that because we live in the US we're these rich motherfuckers, but we're not!? Fucking lower middle-class here. Just barely skimming the borders for upper lower-class. That money was going to be used to repair the home and repaint it. Now, we have to do that out of our own pocket. Thanks, bitchy aunt crap.

I'm so fucking pissed, if you couldn't tell. But, I can't do anything about it here, and we have no concrete proof other than her partial verbal confession. $2500 gone. Just like that.

I'm using Firefox, and I don't see what you mean.

Mostly because I've disabled layouts so that I don't see anyone's layouts. So, no, spoilers always turnout as intended requiring highlighting to read them. It's not just FireFox. It's a layout thing. Quit blaming the good browser. IE Lover.

Yeah...so there. What? I'm allowed to act five-years-old whenever I want. Fine, we'll make you a Microsoft lover instead, unless you don't like Xbox nor use Windows.

On previous inspection, I have noticed that the coding is off. But, since it is just a bulletin board (and I love that it feeds my nostalgia of the early 80s BBSs), I tend not to notice much of the quirks it has. Truly a marvel that Xeo is able to maintain such a monumentous and buggy environment (speaking as a tester)...and I've lost my train of thought because I'm eating a pickle and watching Anchorman.

Excuse my intrusion and childish demeanor. It will happen again.

How evil are you?

Now, this makes sense. When I used to work for TSA, I got this result about one year ago:

See how stuff changes as you begin to explore yourself? And, I'm only crazy by societal standards. By my own standards, I'm still crazy. But, I can operate in society quite well. Picking my nose in the car. Dancing in the car while stuck in traffic. Going out on a murderous rampage. Playing GTA. Writing novels. Playing the violin. Cleaning the house. Plotting the ultimate demise of Microsoft. You know, the usual...

As resident gay man that skipped over the entire forum, and only read Rogue's post, I'd have to say I've never laughed harder in my life. No, wait, that's a lie. I laugh at stupid people all the time.

This is just the perfect example of idiocy and hypocracy. And, I'm sleepy. I don't oppose gay marriage. I'm not for gay marriage. I think it's a social stigma that needs to be squashed. Why do "straight" things need to be imposed on us to make us normal? Isn't my ability to cut off a fucking SUV because it almost ran me off the road enough to make me normal?

Oh, wait, I can't be normal. I want to be different and happy.

And I quote:

"This is to notify you that you have been tentatively selected for the position of Border Patrol Agent Trainee ... with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)."

I'm really very uplifted by this, but have come to expect that nothing much will come from it because of the TSA incident of which we shall never again discuss. I'll go through with everything, quite hopeful that I can attain the GS-5 position (starts at $34K annually), and stay in it. I have to start working out regardless of the outcome.

I heard training camp is killer, and I should start jogging/running now even before I'm accepted just in case I am. So basically, I'd like workout advice if any of you have it. I'd have to build up my stamina again, I'm fine for lifting and carrying things, and I assume I'd have to learn how to fire a firearm...again.

Yay! If only I can become a Fed again...

As sympathy, I'll give you my story of how I came out to my mom:

The setting: 3 days before Mother's Day, 2002, nighttime.

I walked up to my mom, during the commercials in between her soap opera, and told her that I like men. I just had to tell her that way. I just didn't like women.

She was fine with it for about 45 minutes. Then, two weeks of church, yelling, arguing and other things followed. Now, we don't talk about it.

She accepts me as her son, and will always love me no matter what. She just doesn't approve of my lifestyle and preference because of her devout Catholic upbringing. Your parents will always love you even if they don't accept you.

My mom and I are still very close, and she's slowly starting to accept that this is who I am. It's hard for her, but I'd rather not cause anymore difficulty than I have to. We just don't bring it up.

Hey, you need someone to talk to whenever, you know you can find me on AIM. Or e-mail. Or, if you want, I'll even give you my cell phone number...just drop me a PM or email.

They'll get over it. And, soon, you'll be an adult and it won't matter. Don't force it on them...just let it slide around. If they're accepting, it'll show. If not, let it go...they weren't meant to know anyway.
