Ehh...I read some stuff on the GameFAQs board, but I doubt I'll use anything from there other than the usual FAQs and stuff.

Also, I have 35 hours logged into the game at the moment. 5 more hours and I get to unlock a level and fight a secret character. :3

When I go item worlding, I usually use food, because they are cheap and they can usually get your to high levels. The problem with it is if it gets too high, because my characters usually get overwhelmed then. Also, I have I think 6 or 7 of the treasure maps by going through the Subpoena, "Mastering the Knuckles"(Adell)(Don't know if I'll give it to Adell, really). Oh, the first time you get a felony, I thought it was something bad and put it on my Prinny.

EDIT: 40 hours in. 4 level 800-900 characters > My 10 level 90-100 characters. *cries*
EDIT^2: Oooops. I passed the Stronger Enemies bill 3 times, and forgot about it. There are still 4 level 500-600 enemies. *cries again*

Yep, you can dual-boot Windows and Linux, so you could probably be able to dual-boot Macs, too.

This one's about dual-booting Windows and Linux.

Anyway, I would say get Windows. To be honest, I basically have no experience with Mac or Linux, unless you count using a really old Mac computer.

Right now, about 58 hours. Highest leveled character is almost at 150. Which is Adell. I'm on 2nd Cycle right now, but I'm going to go through the story until map 13-3, which you get Yukimaru's best innate special attack(It's a little weaker Ice version of Adell's Vulcan Blaze).

Didn't I tell you? I level up at Dark World 1-1. There are 3 mothmen that respawn every other turn. I kill 2 every time they spawn, and make the last one fall asleep using my Thief(which I reincarnated recently, by the way) or my Female Ninja. You probably want to level up here(Make sure to use the Stronger Enemies bill!) until you are strong enough to kill the guys at CoO4. The guys at CoO4 are around level 250 without the Stronger Enemies bill, and the area is in a +100% EXP bonus.

Don't bother trying to kill Laharl and Flonne yet, because they are level 500-600.

I reincarnated 2 of my characters a bit so far: My thief and one of my Mages. My thief I only started reincarnating yesterday, but my Mage has been around for awhile. She. Owns. Almost. Everything. If you made 3 mages like I did, it's rather pointless. Instead, you would actually want to reincarnate your 1 mage and get her to Prism Mage class, which you unlock from Star Mage. Prism Mages get ALL 4 ELEMENTS(Fire, Water, Wind, and Star, if you didn't know). And I still haven't unlocked the last class, but will do eventually.

I would suggest waiting from doing everything until you go to Cycle 2. You have to start all of your bills over again. Well, the CoO bill, Become a Senator Bill, etc. Most of the other bills will be left alone. Also, all story characters leave, so Yukimaru, Etna, Hanako, Tar(d)o, Tink, and, if you had them, Laharl and Flonne won't start in your group.

Everyone has different play styles, really. I don't generally like listening to the people at GameFAQs when it comes to picking who to use in Disgaea. Sure, Mage Knights are much better than the Male Warriors, but I don't really use them anyway.

When I'm just trying to burn though the story maps, I usually bring out up to 5 people. But, if I'm item worlding or leveling up my characters, I usually have around 10 people out. There are several good reasons to have many characters, though. Party Setup for me is usually:

4 Melee(Adell, Yukimaru, Etna, a Chaos Soldier using a sword)
4 Ranged(Rozalin, a Thief, an Archer, A Mage)
2 of anything I feel like putting in(Male Ninja with a spear, Female Warrior with a spear, Prinny, Female Ninja with a fist, a Priest)

Besides, one advantage of having a large party is comboing them. Let's say you had to fight a really, really hard item general. You killed everyone else, but the Item General is really, really tough. So, have attack setup as(for example): Chaos Soldier use Hurricane Slash, Thief use Shooting Star, Archer use Zielregen, Mage use Omega Star, Rozalin use Rose Liberation, Etna use Prinny Raid, Yukimaru use Midare Fubaki, Adell use Vulcan Blaze. The more you combo, the more damage the next person does.

One perk of completing the game cycle is unlocking the Chaos Soldier. If you played Disgaea 1, the Chaos Soldiers are the Majins of this game. If you haven't, think of Chaos Soldiers as the BEST warriors and(It's suggested that you reincarnate your mages with some at least decent spells before you make them Chaos Soldiers) mages in the game. All weapons have A(Tiers 4-6 have S ratings) ratings and their stats have 120% multiplier when using items. The only problems are that they have an innate 3 move and 1 space to throw(aka only in front of him).

Yeah, Chaos Soldiers level a bit slower than most characters. From what I've seen, the time it took me to level my reincarnated mage to around 90 or 100-ish, my Chaos Soldier was around level 60. Then again, he could fight like a level 100 character...it didn't help that I reincarnated my Male Warrior(Around level 90 or 100, I think) to one, though. And also, something random. The Chaos Soldiers look like a really evil looking version of Zetta(Makai Kingdom, famous quote "I'm one badass freakin' overlord!")

And also, I've been blazing through the story levels with one character: My Prism Mage. She's level 143 right now, and having a spell casting range of 7(Most spells must have a range of 4 or something) and throwing Omega Stars at will has to mean something...And now she has more Mana than Adell. Too bad she's gonna lose it all when I reincarnate her again. :/

And now, I got to 13-3, so it's powerleveling time for about half of my characters. The other half are...well...just taking space, I guess.

You can go through as many cycles as you want. If you couldn't, you wouldn't be able to use the same characters to get all the endings, and that would take a very long time to get some of those endings(Like winning the Etna and Laharl story battles, or getting 99 felonies).

And actually, I've seen 4 different endings already. 1 was entirely on accident. Didn't save it there, though.

And a small update: My Prism Mage reincarnated into a Galaxy Mage. I hope I get the Tera level spells. :3

For M&Ms, I usually just eat 'em one at a time. M&Ms are best when they are Peanut m&ms or they are M&M cookies.

But with skittles, I go for the yellow one first. Does anyone else think that lemons taste rather good in Skittle form?

It's pretty rare for me to go eat Skittles or M&Ms. I usually go for the candy bars myself.

Posted on 09-22-06 11:16 PM, in Plans for new Gran Turismo game Link
Originally posted by Ars Technica Article
With less than two months to go (barring any further delays) before the planned November launch of the PlayStation 3, Sony's online plans for the console are still largely up in the air. Thus it came as a bit of a surprise when in an interview for Japan's Famitsu magazine, the creator of the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi, gave a detailed look at how the latest GT game will make use of online features.

The latest installment in the Gran Turismo series will be called Gran Turismo: HD. Sony is really pushing the high resolution aspect of the PS3, so look for more titles to use the "HD" moniker. GT:HD will be released in two installments: the first will be "Classic" and will hit shelves in time for the PS3 launch. Coming later will be the "Premium" edition that will use more advanced graphics technology and be essentially a preview for the "proper" GT5, which is scheduled for release in 2008.

Besides the graphical improvements, the major news about GT:HD revolves around the online portion of the game. The game starts out with no cars or tracks loaded. Players can purchase cars for ¥50-100 (about $0.45 to $0.85) and courses for ¥200-500 ($1.70 to $4.30). Online race events are defined by the players themselves, and can be held at any time. Initially, over 750 cars and 50 tracks will be made available, with additional releases to come over time. There are also plans for "limited edition" car and track downloads, which will likely be priced higher.

GT:HD Premium will come with 30 cars and two courses built-in, with additional ones available for purchase online in the same fashion. Aside from the improved graphics, it will have additional features such as variable weather. The game itself will be more free-form than the Classic release, more of a driving simulator than a standard singleplayer game where you earn new content by completing various missions.

What will the public reaction be to a pay-as-you-go model for content? Some might argue that this has already been shown to be acceptable in the form of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), but monthly fees for those titles pay not only for new content but the vast array of servers required to support an online world with millions of users. Singleplayer games such as Oblivion have tried out this model in a limited fashion by offering extras (such as special horse armor) that are available only via purchased download. However, it remains to be seen whether gamers will embrace this idea when carried to the next level. A quick calculation shows that to purchase all 750 cars and 50 tracks would cost an astonishing $637, more than the price of the console itself!

So what's the reasoning behind the move to a pay-as-you go model? The same reason given for the ever-increasing inclusion of advertising in games: the runaway costs of game development. All those high-definition models and textures cost money to create, and companies are clearly looking for a way to increase revenue to match these costs. Will the future of gaming be pay-as-you-go? Depending on the success of GT:HD, it may well be.

I don't think this new version of Gran Turismo will be very successful.

[edit]Edited out my layout.

Go to work. The tips I make from working is all the money I get for the week from working($30-40 on average).

I could also starve myself everytime I go to lunch at school for $2(My mom gives me money so I can go eat ). If I do that every school day, I'll be making $10 everyweek. Too bad I really can't do it, since I almost always skip out on breakfast, too. I get up at 7AM, go to school right away, and then I won't be back home until 3PM. :/

I procrastinate. Badly. I tend to write essays an hour before I go to school. Of course, these are just High School essays, so they aren't too bad.

Right now, though, I'm trying to change my habits so that I actually get work done early enough. It was somewhat successful, as I did about half of my homework, then procrastinated on the other half.

I use 2 plugins...sorta.

I use Adblock, and it's really useful when you want to block ads and stuff. Like those annoying Flash ads. The problem with it, I suspect, is that it may block some images. There were pictures that people have posted that I couldn't see.

I also use the Download Status Bar. Basically, instead of opening a window like Firefox normally does, it creates a little bar on the bottom of the screen that lists all of the downloads, and you can control if you want to pause, stop, or restart downloads. You can also open the files from there(but it removes the download from the bar).

Another one I use isn't exactly a plugin. I kinda edited Firefox(or something) and it made downloading pages and stuff go much, much faster. The downside is, though, that it takes up much more memory to run it. I'm basically forced to close the browser every few days.

Also, for themes, I'm currently using BlueShift.
