| So, it's been seven decades since the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Hundreds died, and the United States entered into a war with Japan, which had become an ally of Nazi-controlled Germany and Fascist Italy. Thousands went to war, women left their homes to work in the factories, and the Allies eventually emerged victorious at great cost. And now, Japan is one of the United States' great allies, as are Germany and Italy through NATO. It's fascinating that just months ago, we commemorated the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. |

| Yesterday was pretty sweet. Brandon's car got picked up by the auto wreckers, and we got cable.
My dad is selling the car he got when his friend Bob died to Brandon for $1,000, first payment to be made in February. Good deal, but it needs a new alternator. In another vein, however, discovered there's a free convention on Saturday. Woot. |

| OK, now that I'm all caught up, I'm simultaneously loving and hating this show. Loving in that the drama is finally picking up, but hating in that I downright despise the majority of the characters.
The ONLY characters I've grown an attachment to in any way are Glenn, Dale, and Daryl. The rest... Rick, Shane, Lori (OH GOD, ESPECIALLY LORI!!!), Carol, T-Dog (SERIOUSLY?!), Andrea... they can all die in a fire for all I care. OK. Not so much Andrea, but the rest... good god, I hate these people. I mean, I've read a good chunk of the comics and I know what's supposed to have happened to certain characters, but since this is veering in a different direction its hard to tell what'll happen next. | I've been plagiarized before, but mostly just people copy/pasting my photos or articles onto their websites without crediting me. In those cases our managing editors would send a note to the website and it would usually get taken down.
This most recent incident wasn't really all that bad, but it pissed me off. I wrote a Yelp review for the USS Arizona memorial on December 7th to commemorate the attack on Pearl Harbor and hours later a girl did the same thing and other than talking about crying a lot she lifted several of the phrases I'd written. | I usually bear with it, but if it's too irritating I pick up chloraseptic spray, putting the nozzle in my mouth and getting much of my throat as I possibly can. In the meantime, I take copious amounts of vitamin C and orange juice.
