| We had to fight with our bottle of wine on New Year's Eve, and I had to drive home in a snow storm... that was my eventfulness for the night.
So far it seems like the same old stuff. I am hopeful that this year will be better than the last, since last year really sucked. Oh well, onward! |

| I do agree that they went pretty far in trying to distance her from the other princesses, which they really didn't need to do. The plot of the movie was very, well... overly simple really. And there wasn't a villain, which is just weird to me. So while Merida is my new favorite princess, I still think that Sleeping Beauty is my favorite plot.
So I am apparently going to see Les Miserables on Sunday night with two of my coworkers (finally giving this girl's night out thing a try)... I will fully admit I am going because of a review that mentions all the actors as previous action/comic book characters they played. |

| Still on Skyrim. Friend gave me MS points for my birthday/holiday gift so I downloaded Dawnguard to add to it. I wanted it for only one reason, to be honest: Dragonbone weapons.
Got my smithing to 100 the night before last and making my new bow was the first thing I did after putting my perk in the smithing tree. It is so pretty, and so deadly.... my legendary dragonbone bow. I enchanted it with fire damage and named in Dragon's Bane (most dragons I encounter are the frost type). I am working on Enchanting now so that I can dual enchant weapons. Then I am going to remake the Nightingale Bow as a dragonbone version. And enchant Dragon's Bane with Soul Trap... because, you know, it's what I do. |

| So I am currently running the anniversary edition of The Rise of the Runelords... the first Pathfinder adventure that they put out. I have two groups... a bunch of veterans and a bunch of newbies.
The newbies are a weekly group, so they are farther along. It is very funny to watch the dynamics of the two groups. The vets react more to the plot in some places, but the newbies are better at figuring out things because they are not overthinking stuff. They also stumble upon more things because at least one of the party members is the "search and take everything... just like in Fallout" kinda player (this is the only fantasy thing he's ever dealt with. Ever.)... which is both good and bad. |

| This just seemed a bit too long to go in the Fuck You thread...
So, it's been freezing for the last month... since, you know, it's winter and all. My fiance's car hasn't been driven since Dec 19th. Every few days, as I was leaving for work, I would suggest he go start the car so the battery doesn't die... since he is unemployed and really has nothing else to do all fucking day, this shouldn't be a hard thing to do. He kept forgetting. His mother, also unemployed, also kept forgetting. Today, they went to start the car... and guess what?! Yep, fucking dead. I get a text message while at work asking to buy a portable car jumper/charger. I get another later saying they got a jump but he would still like me to get one. My work didn't have any, so I went to Walmart and bought a nice 400 amp one for $40... because I wasn't paying $70 for the 720amp when we don't need it. I stop at the local convenience store and pick up a few bottles of our favorite lemonade and make my way home. Where my fiance proceeds to bitch at me because he didn't like the portable jumper I bought. He said he wanted "the" unit they sell at my work... I don't him we didn't have any. He called me a liar and said I shouldn't have gotten anything. I stayed quiet, took the receipt from my purse and told him that if it was that big of a deal he could take it back and get what he wanted. But no... apparently I have to take it back because I bought the wrong thing. He said it was MY fault, and that I failed to communicate. I'm sorry... I'm not the one that let their car sit for a month, buried in snow, and allow the battery to die despite repeated reminders to go start it. I didn't have to buy anything, but I did, because I am nice. I bought what we needed so that we wouldn't have the problem again. If you wanted one particular unit so badly, perhaps you should have been more specific... or, you know, driven down in your newly jumped car and bought it yourself! But no, I am the one with communication problems. Fuck my life. At least he thanked me for the lemonade... as an afterthought. |

| Oh, state regulations pushed the start-up cost of the campground into the "fucking impossible" range so we had to scrap that plan.
Then we had an idea for a paintball park... but the majority of the population here just plays in their wooded backyards, so that doesn't really work either. So... basically, we are waiting for the Marcellus Shale people to come into the area and offer us money. |

| A Memory of Light, the last book of the Wheel of Time series. It's 909 pages long and over an inch thick.
So far, it is very action-packed and exciting, and I am only about a third of the way through it (I've been busy/lazy). I must admit though, I am really sad to see it all end since I count this as one of my favorite series... but even I have to admit that 14 books is enough. |
