Realized, while going through my boxes of comics, that a lot of things weren't bagged and boarded and had a mini-freakout.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, Katana.
Yes, I know what it's like to have a person completely dependent on you for their care, for their meals, their hygienic upkeep, and everything else in between. At the same time, I'm glad you landed employment. I still haven't done that, but then I haven't really been trying. I'll explain... I've been tasked with a few odd jobs over the last month: designing fliers, writing uncredited articles for my mom's church bulletin, work as an extra for a web series shoot, editing Stitch's manuscript, and writing post after post for Geek Armada. Half don't pay (including the extra and GA stuff), the other half are just one-time payments. I'll be inactive this weekend. Going to the Renaissance faire tomorrow and then heading up to San Francisco at night to spend the day there Sunday. I'll be home Monday morning, and with that distraction out of the way, I'll be job-seeking on Tuesday. |

Fuck once again feeling like I've been plagiarized. It sucks because this time it was a friend who did it, and I really can't say anything about it. Grrrrr...

I got so stupidly giddy with this latest episode. Mostly over the Arya and Gendry bits.
We FINALLY see the Greyjoys. My curiosity still has not ebbed yet. And despite all the buzz around Renly in all those YouTube featurettes that HBO has been posting we still have yet to see him this season. And this episode felt WAAAAAAY TOO SHORT. It's just because there are so many characters that we have to see, so we have to touch on as many of them as possible, I suppose. |

A lot of people are pointing out the similarities this is having with season 2, meaning most people were of the mind, "I don't care who wins between Raven and Jujubee, so long as Tyra doesn't win," and then Tyra did.
There've been a few trolls on the IMDb forum who keep going on about the ending being leaked and that Phi Phi won. I hope that's not true. Still, there were people who claimed that Chad was going home in the latest episode, and that, fortunately, turned out to be untrue. EDIT: This video was posted today by New Now Next. Hm.. Yeah, after years of watching HBO and other "premium" cable shows, I've just started glossing over the sex, nudity, and violence figuring it's their idea of adding to the show's gritty "realism." Kind of a shame that they added that bit about those two, though.
Good news today, as GoT has been renewed for a third season. Apparently since "A Storm of Swords" is too long for one season, it's being broken into two. Anyway, I'm surrounded by people who've read the books and are dropping in spoilers thinking that they aren't. Spoiler:
Becky started asking me about Tyrion's appearance, since she hasn't been watching the show, but has read the books. She suddenly goes, "Well, you know, he's gonna get a whole lot uglier soon since he'll be getting hurt and get this big scar across his face." WHAT THE FUCK?! Originally posted by Elara Oh I definitely intend to, but not until the show ends or gets canceled. It's not an aversion to reading or anything, it's just that I started with the show and I've been enjoying being surprised while watching it. Spoiler:
Even though I hated when Ned got killed off, I was really amazed with the turn of events and loved that I didn't see it coming. I think, like most people, I'd come to think he'd eventually be saved. I just don't want to lose that element of surprise while watching it. Spoiler:
A different friend, who's been slightly better about not letting things out, started telling me about how Jon Snow's going to have the most fucked-up love life. She didn't divulge any details, thankfully. Anyway... I'm still amused. I can remember the most inane characters' names and details, but I can never remember the name of the large guy who's friends with Jon Snow (who off and on reminds me of Tom). We're only two episodes into the new season here's what I think of the characters thus far: Ones I LOVE: Arya Stark Tyrion Lannister Gendry Robb Stark The direwolves Yoren (after this episode and the last two of season 1, I love this guy) Ones I like: Jon Snow (he's teetering on love and like, but right now he's more in the "like" category) Bronn Bran Stark Bran's wildling woman The Hound That guy who works for Stannis (I just tried looking up his name and stumbled into some Stannis spoilers. GAAAHH!) EDIT: Davos Seaworth Ones I feel neutral about (these volley back and forth like and dislike and are right now just sitting in the middle for me): Catelyn Stark Petyr Baelish Theon Greyjoy (he's off and on on the like list despite my suspicions) Jorah Mormont Jaime Lannister Sansa Stark (she's moved up from dislike) Ros Rickon (haven't seen him enough to form an opinion) Tywin Lannister (haven't seen him this season at all yet) Ones I dislike: Daenerys Targaryan (I really don't know why I dislike her so) Tyrion's whore Stannis Baratheon Melisandre (sp?) Renly Baratheon (haven't even seen him yet) Varys Grand Maester Pycelle Ones I HATE: Joffrey Cersei Lysa Arryn (haven't seen her this season, but I still hate her guts) Craster Can't think of anyone else or their placement off the top of my head. These are just the ones I can place right away when they come to mind. (Last edited by Rogue on 04-12-12 12:04 PM) |

Spoiler:
I've had my suspicions of Shae from the beginning. I mean, not only did she not sit well with me the moment they introduced her, but she didn't want to play Tyrion's drinking game and then Tywin kept saying to not bring her with him to King's Landing. Varys is one who volleys back and forth on the like/dislike list. I was actually kind of liking The Spider when I was re-watching the season, but then again I can't help but have a love/hate feeling toward Baelish. I just listed them as I've been feeling about them so far this season. I didn't list the Greyjoys, outside of Theon, because I haven't seen them enough, although for some reason I can't help but like Yara at the moment. What a poker face on that woman. Cersei... I love to hate her, but she has these human moments that make me feel sorry for her. At the same time, I've grown to like Jaime Lannister for some reason. He used to be thrown onto my hate list, but then I realized I was sort of generalizing him with Cersei and Joffrey and aside from the first episode, he wasn't so awful. As for Brienne of Tarth, yeah, I keep seeing people posting this picture around saying she's this awesome, strong woman from fantasy and I've been DYING to see her without being exposed to their spoilers. EDIT: Spoiler tags added to that first paragraph since it could probably be deemed spoilerish. (Last edited by Rogue on 04-12-12 01:30 AM) |

He lost it again during a telecast with yet another cute as hell laughing fit.
Just for fun, here's his first case of the giggles: |

Thank you, Stitch, for EVERYTHING. He took us to see Val Kilmer as Mark Twain , flew us up to San Francisco, and took us to watch the Bring Your Own Big Wheel Race. So much awesome thanks to this guy, right here.

Originally posted by X Hope she's one of those people who can smoke, drink, and eat fast food every day and die at 110. My mom's been battling breast cancer for a long time, and yet her sisters and mother (the one I was caretaking for) are healthier than an ox... sort of. My evil aunt, who smokes all the time and has diabetes but still eats a lot of shit, complains about pains and such so she can get out of taking care of or visiting my grandmother, but she's fine. You should see her. She'll be walking around, commanding people to do this or that, and then when she goes to sit down she starts pretend hyperventilating. Anyway, I'm happy my laptop's working now. Oh my god, fuck whatever it is that's making the curb in front of my house so attractive to all of the neighbors.
Every fucking day someone's parked in front of our house, and usually it's people visiting the woman across the street. It's inconvenient to park in front of my house. The only entrances to my street are to the east of my north-facing house. You would have to drive all the way up to the cul-de-sac to the west, flip a bitch, and then park in front of my house. And there's ALWAYS parking in front of the houses across the street. The curb in front of my house, between our driveway and the neighbor to the west's, is enough to fit three cars. I came home, already aggravated, to find some old person's car parked in the middle. I seriously contemplated keying it. (Last edited by Rogue on 04-15-12 08:32 PM) |

He did apologize for laughing, especially since people thought he was calling Dyngus Day stupid (he was saying his giggle fit was stupid):
I would love to see Anderson as the Pussywillow Prince. |

This entire post shall be with the spoiler tags, just because.
Spoiler: Well, Yoren's dead. But he died like a fucking boss. Figures about Theon. I'd been waiting for him to betray Robb since day 1, but at the same time are we entirely sure that he's completely siding with his father against the Starks? As for Renly, Loras, and Renly's beard. Heh, yeah, I actually got irritated when Loras' sister got naked so damn quickly. And these dresses she's wearing... |

It's time to vote for Miss Congeniality.
http://www.newnownext.com/rupaul-drag-race-miss-congeniality/04/2012/ The consensus seems to be to vote for Chad since everyone's "sure" Sharon will win. I'm voting Chad since he's not only my favorite, he's been the one to drop everything and help people when they ask for it. He's honest and professional. |

Heh, this was the cause of the person's illness on House last night.
The patient was bleeding from the eyes, his liver was failing, he was hallucinating, and of course, it turned out he had used a neti pot full of tap water. He also had a Real Doll as a girlfriend, but that's another story. |
