And once more, I want to point out that while Prop 8 was voted in by a small majority of the population, people in the South fifty years ago voted that interracial marriage was illegal... and that was struck down because it violated the United States Constitution. States cannot pass laws that violate Federal law, and when they do they get struck down. Also, on a side note... since I've seen people trying to use "marriage is for the procreation of the species" argument to try and not sound like Bible-thumpers. There are a few things wrong with this: 1) People are capable of procreating outside of marriage. Marriage exists to establish legitimacy of offspring for inheritance rights (a legal thing). 2) Only religions say that you need to be married to have kids. 3) That would logically mean that all infertile citizens and people past child-bearing age are also barred from getting married, and no one in their right mind would pass that law. Seriously... pure logic: A: Marriage is only for having children B: Person 1 is unable to have children (infertile) Therefore, Person 1 is not allowed to get married. Who agrees with that? No one! The argument is illogical and therefore invalid. |

| Got all my paperwork in for student teaching. Got accepted to the program to do the last 4 1/2 weeks of that student teaching in freaking IRELAND!! And I get to go to a Tabletop day on Saturday.
Also, lost about 10 lbs. Yay! And coming up on 5th anniversary myself. If California acknowledged it, you'd be one more year away from Common Law marriage, Rogue. Lol. |

But squee!!! Not super happy with the departures from the book, but so far they are understandable still. Though it does kinda take one big "Nuh uh!" moment away that makes me sad... and no Strong Belwas. Can't wait for next week, it looks like that is when all the others are going to show up. |

| Fuck you idiot at work who sold a camera without the fucking box!!!
Not only did you have to take the box out of lock up to sell it, you had to open the box to remove the camera, then put the box BACK in lock up... which in turn causes the display box to be put back out on the shelf where someone then tried to BUY said camera. First off, who the fuck sells a camera without a box? This isn't one of those tiny point and shoots, this was a Canon Rebel T3i... it's a fucking $800 camera! Second, who BUYS a camera without the box?! Seriously, this all went down on Sunday and I STILL have no words to express how fucking stupid this is. I am just so thankful that the people that wanted to buy it were so awesome about the whole fiasco. Seriously, special Thank You to them. |
