Fuck that I can't get a good night's sleep in my neighborhood. Every fucking morning it's something. My next door neighbor has been raking every morning around 6:30 or 7, and trying to be neighborly, he rakes the sidewalk in front of our neighbor's across the street, as well as the sidewalk in front of the neighbors on the other side of my house. Yesterday he was having one of those shouting conversations with someone across the street which woke me up. Brandon's and my windows face the street and we're on the second floor, we tend to hear everything that goes on in the street and even blocks away. At this very moment city workers are in front of a house down the street sawwing and trying to rip up a tree stump. They've been at this for hours and it sounds like three lawnmowers. Oh god, and the lawnmowers! People here, including the hired Latino and Mexican gardeners with their trucks loaded with mowers, edgers, ad leaf blowers, decide to mow ridiculously early. ((FUCK LAWN OWNERSHIP! Lawns in Southern California are an unnatural and downright useless thing that takes up a lot of water just to keep it alive. What's the fucking point of having one?!)) A couple days ago a helicopter was just hovering over our house for 20 minutes, and earlier that morning (around 2 or 3 a.m.) Brandon heard all these sirens and engines tearing down the main street a block away, and then he heard gun shots. Motherfucker was leading a high speed chase from Fullerton to here, attempted to run over a couple cops and was shot dead around the corner from my house. I hate this heat and the fact that we need the windows open at night. Actually I prefer the windows open either way for the breezes, but all these noises are un-fucking-bearable when I'm trying to SLEEP.

I've been noticing a lot of these couples with an extra girlfriend lately.

It's never ended well. Usually one of the girls gets exceptionally jealous (the wife was rarely allowed to try other men, but the husband would be with other women) or in the case of this older, married couple I knew who were keeping a teenage girl from going to school saying that she would be out on the street if she ever tried to better herself. When she finally left the couple were heartbroken and don't really speak to each other right now. God what a mess when the other woman gets pregnant. Anyway... as you said this isn't about that. Can you just go to the party, your own baby girl in tow, and pretend you don't see the bitch of an ex? If some shit's going to go down let her be the one who started it, and just don't say anything to her. That's a pretty thoughtful gift, by the way. (restricted) |
