| OK, I'm pretty goddamn pissed about people posting spoilers on Facebook.
A pretty big Game of Thrones spoiler was posted by a news page I "like," but am now reconsidering. More annoyingly, the people who commented were all, "Oh hey, that's a spoiler. Oh well, haha, I read the books. Fuck everyone who didn't." And this isn't the first GoT thing that's been posted that's made me angry. The one that's been bad has been Downton Abbey spoilers. I'm streaming that one and I'm managing to be up to date, but they haven't started airing the new episodes in the United States yet. So we've got all these people who just keep announcing the big shit that's been going down in each episode and spoiling it for everyone here, not streaming like I am. And before that it's been people purposely trying to ruin what's happened on the latest Doctor Who. Good grief... fuck people who post spoilers. Just... gahhh. |

| The length is good. Fun, though useless piece of info about me: I used to be pretend to be 22yo when I was 13/14. No one ever suspected that I wasn't.
But this isn't about me. Glad to see someone saying their time here wasn't entirely useless.

| So this technician predicts there'll be an earthquake in this part of Italy. A group of scientists analyzed his data and method, and the media goes about misreporting the meeting, underplaying their determination and saying that they think the technician's prediction is completely wrong.
A week after the day the technician predicted the earthquake would take place, it happens in the place it was predicted and 300 people die. The scientists who "denied" the technician's prediction have now been convicted of manslaughter and have been sentenced to six years in prison. The American Association for the Advancement of Science had gathered 5,000 scientists to support the charged and even wrote to the president of Italy, but apparently to no avail. Thoughts? |
