| the main problem with drugs is not that the coolness or the peer pressure or any of that nonsence...the problem with drugs is that they are really really fun. with drugs your mind can be solving the mysteries of the universe (which invariably turn out to be bullshit once you come down) and completley escape the harsh realities of existance. this is a big temtation for a lot of people. i tried shrooms and hugged a tree for four hours while universes coalesced out of nothingness and became dreamscapes of wonder before my eyes, i spoke to god and god was love.....then i threw up rather violently for the rest of the night and thought i wanted to stop existing....at one point i found myself in a car crying and wearing a towel on my head....sounds sort of funny but really it was terrifying.
...i know a lot of people who have had alot of very positive drug experiances, and i know alot of people who have had very bad ones....very very bad ones. here is my practical advice to any and all who may ever try a drug collected from my own research: #1 never ever ever do meth or crack or heroin...these will fuck up your life...these are the worst of the worst, worse than cocaine worse than mescaline worse than ether...just dont even start these cause they are bad bad shit #2 your best bet is to forgo the drugs altogether but if you insist on trying something LEARN ABOUT IT FIRST go on erowid.com and look up the damn substance. #3 do not ever ever ever mix drugs. #4 alchohol is a traitor. never do drugs while drunk! 75 percent of overdoses were because the person was also drunk at the time. jim morrison, john belushi....both drunk...so was the fella from nirvana (he shot himself though but if that didnt kill him the heroin in his system would have) #5 drugs, honestly are by and large HUGE wastes of time, and they can take over your life in a heartbeat and make you an idiot, so do something productive instead! if you really need to hallucinate that badly, bang your head against a wall till you see elephants....the mental effects are the same but the pain will reinforce the idea that it is dumb... |
