| The "Straight Outta Compton" meme is pretty stupid and annoying. I'm not even talking about the movie. Just the amount of people posting pictures of themselves with "Straight Outta Disneyland" or wherever.
Speaking of which, I'm really, REALLY tired of all the posts about hitting up Disneyland. Seems like most of my FB friends are annual passholders and are always there or lamenting that they wish they were there. This isn't near as bad as the fact that they are simultaneously posting about constantly being broke. Do you know how much annual passes to Disneyland are? Hundreds of dollars and then you have to pay monthly installments ON TOP of that. And then food there is astronomically priced. |

| You're right. I was 18 when I first came to MoD. It's not quite half my life, but it's a pretty significant chunk.
Amusingly, the people who got me to join Vizzed then switch over to here haven't been in my life for many years. |

| Honestly I'm not as big a fan of "Inglorious Basterds" as everyone else, and for me, the story in "Django Unchained" falls apart about halfway through.
"Hateful Eight" just strikes me as one I'll enjoy thoroughly. I love the look of it, and a movie's environment/ambiance is very important to me. Don't want to get my hopes up, but we'll just have to see how it goes. |

Indeed, that's quite terrifying. I've been on this board and in a relationship with the same person for the whole of my 20s. Looking back at my old posts, I shock myself. I was cleverer and wrote better when I was starry-eyed and full of hope.

| I haven't really hit the, "Oh my god, fuck no, I'm tired of that!!" in a while. That was more of an issue before I was employed and was stuck with either Costco or Del Taco.
I guess the closest I've come is when I want ramen (which is pretty much all the time) and we've got our reliable -- though terribly busy -- favorite place, Shin-Sen-Gumi, but I always want to try new other places to see if any of them are any better or just as good. In the end, they're never as good as Shin-Sen, but whenever we do just go straight to it I always feel like we're just settling. I think I've gotten more bored with ending up in certain places. On Sundays Brandon and I drive around the South Bay, near my work, and we've ended up by Venice Beach more than a few times. The boardwalk holds no mystique for me these days, but Bran likes taking walks there. I ended up at the boardwalk on Saturday when a friend visiting from out-of-town wanted to go. If you could live within the world of one anime series, which would it be? |

| Christ, what a shitload of fuck-ups I've been dealing with this week.
Fuck you, camera sellers that Brandon attempted to buy a camera from using my card (it was with permission and that's not what I'm pissed about.) The way they operate, you have to call them the next day, after a purchase, to confirm it's you and then they'll process the order and mail it out. I call them while on break, and the guy then goes, "Don't you want to buy a battery to go with it?" Long story short (too late, right?), I'm on the phone with them later to dispute an extra $200 charged to my card for unverifiable reasons. Why they sell a camera WITHOUT a battery is beyond me. Anyway, here's hoping I get my full refund after they hung up on me when I said to just cancel the whole order. Fuck you, Kaiser Permanente's billing department. Had a $10 copay for an X-ray, which radiology FAILED to ask me to pay following my car accident. I start to get bills for it saying I'm past due. I go to their hospital to try to pay it off. Cashiering is only open the hours I'm at work. I get referred to pay through a counselor, who charges me the $10 and gives me "credit" for the payment on my account. I keep getting PAST DUE notices; I keep calling them to fix it; billing says it's resolved, and YET I'm now getting threats of the matter going to collections. Christ... Fuck that the other staff I work with on Mondays keeps disappearing for sometimes up to 45 minutes when she claims she's on her 10-minute break. Fuck that she also took nearly an hour to do the second trip from Chili's, which only takes 20 minutes. Fuck that I ended up "slipping" and implying it to the boss, who may have a word with her. Fuck that impending clique drama I'm going to get from her friends any day now.

| I'm almost exclusively on Chrome these days. Not for any real reason other than it gave me less issues when uploading photos to Facebook. I also like all the short cuts I can take typing things in the url bar.
So yeah, all my reasons are superficial. 😜 |

My co-worker and I actually made baked mac 'n' cheese with Cheez-Its crumbled up on top instead of breadcrumbs as a project with the clients. Yes, it was goddamn awesome. Is there a series for which you're having anxiety waiting for an ending? |

He tried to add stuff to the order and when I just flat out said to cancel the order, I guess he figured I was just canceling the battery, to which he then gets snippy, saying, "Well, this camera's actually discontinued, and you're not going to find a battery for it anywhere, so you should just buy it from us now." I answer, "No, cancel the WHOLE order." He quickly says, "It's going to be 5-10 days for your refund," and hangs up. (Last edited by Rogue on 08-24-15 11:01 PM) |

| For a few months there, EVERY SINGLE TIME I walked into my usual Japanese market, they were playing "Shake It Off." Granted, I came by around the same time after work, but must their employees have to listen to the same music, in the same order, ALL the time? That's cruel.
