It appears they've hired a "Young Ned Stark." Looks like we might be seeing Robert's rebellion after all, or perhaps an explanation of Jon's heritage. 
Croatia's lamenting the fact that they aren't going to be a shooting location this season, so no real King's Landing shots. They also use Croatia for Meereen and other across-the-Narrow-Sea locations. Brandon was pointing out that they still need to return to Bran's story line. I think his scenes, since he's north of the Wall now are shot in Iceland. All the Dorne stuff is shot in Spain, and things in the North are shot in Scotland (though they switched to Northern Ireland this season due to issues with infrastructure.) |

| There are several for me, mostly consisting of people's online novellas. They'll be so consistent with updates and then just drop off the face of the earth and never finish.
Actually published things I've been waiting on endings for include "Vinland Saga" and "Usagi Yojimbo." Both writers are on hiatus. In the case of UY, though, I have been reading that one for more than a decade and Stan Sakai's wife just passed away, so I'm not all that pressuring regarding it. Where do you wander to when you have nothing else to do, but don't quite feel like going home yet? |

| Depends on with whom this uncomfortable conversation is going to be. If it's Brandon, I'll just come out with it no matter what at first chance I get. If it's my parents, it also depends on what the conversation will be about and with which parent it's more appropriate to talk on the subject.
Anyone else? Well, I try to figure out what I'm going to say, what they might say, and how I might counter their argument, etc. I hate to just answer, "It all depends," and leave it at that, but the context of the conversation is also important. I mean, am I firing them? Am I doing a one-person intervention? Some things are easier for me to just get in someone's face for than others. | We're anticipating El Nino, which all Californians are praying will bring lots of rain and snow to us. Again, it would only help if it brings a fuckton of snow to NorCal, where it's collected and becomes the state's drinking water. California doesn't really have a method for collecting and using rainwater.
We're going through a lot of bureaucracy vs. environmentalists to get us desalination plants, but it's a very, very slow process. And of course, now we have to worry about the BLOB possibly preventing El Nino from hitting us at all.  (Last edited by Rogue on 09-08-15 02:03 AM) |

| I used to be a huge fan back when the only things were Ralph's chocolate chip pumpkin cookies (which are still extraordinary), but now it's practically bait for "basic bitches." I think I was over it the moment Brandon's mom offered pumpkin cupcakes one Thanksgiving nearly a decade ago, but then his aunt turns to her boyfriend and goes, "Babe, they're copying us!"
There are lots of things pumpkin-spiced that are still great, but for the most part it's a ploy to sell seasonal stuff that often doesn't really carry the flavor much. | I don't typically listen to full albums, especially not these days. In fact I can't remember the last time I listened to a CD. I tend to make playlists of certain songs I want. If, say, I wanted to listen to something off Spotify, I'll just listened to a couple songs that I want to hear off an album and then switch to something else.
Have you ever rooted for the villain when they aren't already the main character [i.e. the story doesn't revolve around an antihero like "The Sopranos," "Dexter," "Boardwalk Empire," "Breaking Bad," etc, but instead is designed to be that asshole destroying the protagonist's life (e.g. Ursula, Claudius, Immortan Joe, etc.]? |

| Just an update on the camera company fuck you:
I ended up calling my bank to tell them about the fact that it had been almost two weeks and they still had not refunded me. Wells Fargo gave me a provisional credit of the same amount, themselves, and told me to wait the rest of the 15 days they are allowed to take to get the refund. It's now more than 15 days, and still no refund. When you call them during their business hours you get a crackly message that's difficult to understand and when you dial in the extension you want, it's just silence and then it eventually hangs up. Even then, we've still been getting the non-business hours message (which we got just now), which is a clear recording of a woman's voice saying the hours, "We're sorry," and then quickly run-together goes, "Leave a message after the beep WE'RE SORRY this inbox is full WE'RE SORRY we've encountered an error GOODBYE!!" *CLICK!* Whatever, at this point. My concern now is if this fly-by-night maliciously uses my card number since it was on a different debit card than the one which's numbers were already stolen. |

| There was this one ghost pepper chocolate bar that Bran and I tried. It was good, but it was made with a pepper oil so it coated your tongue and burned much, much worse.

| I don't know how, but Facebook is most definitely stalking me. I got a sponsored ad for the official page for Lowe's with a big photo and blurb about the Japanese peace lily. I had bought one at a Lowe's a couple weeks ago, but never mentioned it on FB or any other place. I think I mentioned it here in a post once and that's it.

| Duuude, now it's putting up ads for California King-sized mattresses. Bran and I have one and have been talking about getting a new one when we get back, but I haven't mentioned that ANYWHERE online. Hell, I haven't even started browsing for any.
I mentioned it to Brandon and he said that Stitch told him that when you have the FB app open, it keeps the microphone on and listens to your conversations.
