I haven't posted in a while.
Here's a few random shots of me from the past few months: Arizona faire last month. Dubrovnik, Croatia. Walking around on the Walt Disney Concert Hall on my birthday back in January. |

I still haven't seen it. For some reason I just keep dragging my heels on several of the blockbusters. I mean, hell, I only finally saw "Force Awakens" a little less than two weeks ago.
I guess I'm also throwing in on saying I'm more excited about "Apocalypse" than any of the others. Hell, if I only got the choice to watch one more superhero movie this year, I think I'd just watch "Deadpool" again. |

Yup, it's another fuck this job post.
Had that one psychotic client today who gets violent at random. My boss made this unreasonable demand of always keeping this client seated in a hard folding chair next to the couch. Client kept moving over to the much more comfortable couch and I kept having to go over to her and ask her to move. She's flat-out ignoring me and playing the zombie and occasionally lashing out. After a while she's literally scratching me, and attempting to kick and punch and spit while screaming and I'm just trying to get her to leave the room at this point. My boss comes in to demand that I take the client out, like I'm a goddamn idiot for not trying to before. Performed first aid since the client had gouged the fuck out of her own arm and, as it turns out, the office's first aid kit is really fucking depleted. I had to use the two small scraps of gauze to try to stop the bleeding and wrap it. What's more another of my clients was just sitting there bleeding on her own shirt since she has a serious skin condition. It looked like she had goddamn Wolverine claws come out of her hand without the benefit of a healing factor. Then I've got the other issue of another of my clients just screaming in front of his peers about how he was raped by a man when he lived at a group home 20 years ago. This after we kept having to redirect him over and over again from talking about inappropriate things. I hadn't heard about this before, and it's terrible that it happened to him (it's old news and has already been handled), but he (and many of the other clients) like getting attention in ANY way they can. For the most part, I'm just so sick of this job. I feel like I get no respect and my boss is just so cold toward me these days. |

I was excited at the prospect of a "Civil War" movie, years ago. But... well, it's just not going to be anything like the comics. It just looks like a small skirmish between a group of friends over Bucky/Winter Soldier rather than a whole universe against itself over whether or not the heroes should reveal themselves, register, and serve the government vs. maintain their ultimate power and freedom.
Yes, I'm definitely burned out on superhero movies. Doesn't help that I haven't had the patience or interest to read/follow any superhero comics in quite a long time. Perhaps the only thing close to it that I'm looking forward to would be the animated "The Killing Joke" that will be out soon, with Kevin Conroy voicing Batman again. I fear, if I want anything better in some other field, I might end up just going back to school on my own dime. I'm often overcome with feelings of hopelessness.

I wish I was. I had plans to try to go somewhere this year, but they've sort of gone by the wayside since I'm persistently broke... and planning a wedding. What a goddamn money drain.

Haha, fuck you, woman who tried to cut in line at McDonald's ahead of my clients and me by standing at one of the registers while we waiting in a general queue, and then it turned out the register you were waiting for wasn't taking any more orders and then you tried to interject what you wanted between the six orders I was placing for my clients, as we happily ignoring your existence while you turned more and more red beside us.
To answer you, Xeo, I suppose I do, but I'm definitely burned out with this occupation. |

S'okay. I have it so I can't see layouts at all.
I guess that was my factoid for this post. |

Fact: Before I got a smartphone, mid-last year, I couldn't even text and my phone calls weren't free. Stupid Verizon plan.

Kept forgetting to post this, but they did a radar scan of Shakespeare's grave and finally revealed that his skull appears to be missing.
His grave is well-noted for bearing a sign reading, "Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear, to dig the dust enclosed here. Blessed be the man that spares these stones, And cursed be he that moves my bones." It's suspected the skull was stolen as a drunken bet to see if someone could take a piece of him and survive the curse. |

It's hot; it's raining. The rain isn't really more than a light piss that barely even makes it to the asphalt. That's L.A. for you.

Well, today was about the worst I've had it with my boss and I pretty much told several of my co-workers that I'm on my way out. At the same time, I've been having health problems again. Nothing serious, just frustrating.
Trying to keep my thoughts a bit more on the positive side. - Happy I didn't kill anyone today. - Happy I got a paycheck today. - Happy the working week is over and I'm onto the weekend. - Happy to be going on a mini-vacation next weekend. - Happy "Game of Thrones" will be starting again later this month. |

I'm not a fan of the running-off-to-Vegas or going-to-the-courthouse way around it. It's a great way for other people, but I actually want a full wedding with a reception if I'm going to do this shit.
Brandon's teen-aged sister was pressured to just get married in her pastor's office because she and her daughter were living with her would-be husband already and were told that if they were planning on doing that they had to sign some celibacy agreement. Apparently they couldn't last two weeks and were worried about being all the gossip in their little church community. When we finally had the wedding up in Washington (at Bran and Sara's mom's insistence and all out of her pocket, at that), it was technically a one-year anniversary vow renewal and everyone up there treated it like a joke. Those who showed up, ate their sandwiches, cut the cake early, and left. The wedding and reception was over in under two hours. It was worse than the shit-show in Gogol Bordello's "American Wedding" video. No one danced and exchange all the white lace with brown burlap. I don't really want to break the bank here, but I also don't want... that. We're two years out, and we haven't picked any venues, but we've hired a band and hair/makeup person so far. The only time in recent memory that I liked an ensemble superhero movie was "Guardians of the Galaxy," but even when they were "buddies," they still love/hate'd each other. I've disliked all of the Avengers movies (though some moments were enjoyable), I almost outright hate everything Fantastic Four, and I haven't truly liked an X-Men movie since the first Bryan Singer era.
I think the only group hero flick I'd be interested in seeing any time soon would be whenever they get off their asses and finally make the "Runaways," which they keep saying every year that they'll make and then drop just before they announce the next wave. For fuck's sake, Marvel, make some goddamn female-led films already! I guess the question is will that phase 3 "Captain Marvel" movie be about Carol Danvers (like most fans want) or the male one, Mar-Vell? |

Fact: I'm addicted to Blue Bottle coffee, even though it's $4 for a small carton. No one was buying that shit before, but now it's ALWAYS sold out whenever I hit up the Whole Foods. Argh.

Traveling to new places with people I love, would be the tip-top.
It's gonna be tough naming off everything else. What's been on your mind a lot lately? |

Something in the ballpark of 36-48 hours, but I'm sure there's been worse somewhere down the line for me. It was while I was working my first Rocky Horror convention, which we'd held in Vegas 11 years ago.
As a techie, we got no sleep and were constantly having to work while all the rest of cast spent most of the time prancing around and schmoozing, while still complaining they had more work and effort than the techies. Motherfuckers took a group nap while we were setting up a ballroom with all the cables and lighting. What was the last costume you wore? |

She's probably been busy with her daughter, who's probably walking and talking by now.
Time, man. |
