Thanks for the concern. It's appreciated. 
We're far enough from the Woolsey fire that our (Elara's and my) homes aren't in danger, but we're getting the smoke occasionally. The Camp fire is on the other end of the state, but it's pretty much taken out an entire town of Paradise and killed UPDATE: Changed the number to match with the most recent reportings since firefighters were finally able to enter some of the burned homes and take a tally of the bodies. | So what did you guys do for Thanksgiving and got any plans for Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza? Currently at my cousin's place in Sacramento. We had almost all of her family and mine there, only missing her transgenedered son that all of her family still refers to as "she" and by her female name. He didn't come home from Wisconsin, where he's attending college. No real plans yet for Christmas. My grandfather died on Sunday and we're thinking we'll be hosting family at our house this year. |

We went to the Dickens Fair in San Francisco. When we went last year it was amazing, but this year more of the family wanted to go, including my dad, and it turned into an ordeal.
The best times were pretty much Thanksgiving itself, which was AMAZING both in food and having everyone together ... and pretty much whenever Bran and I could sneak away to see things by ourselves.

| I just started playing "Firewatch." I'm not sure how well I'm doing, and I really don't want to look up how to play this game and end up spoiling it.
It's one of those mostly open world games where I easily end up running around in circles, especially since the map is something your character actually has to hold in front of himself. God help you if you have to look at the map while you're holding something else. |

| I work with fucking children.
And I'm NOT talking about the clients. My co-workers are true pieces of shit, and it pisses me off that my boss doesn't reign them in ... AT ALL. Our boss keeps a mistress among us and she gets away with A LOT. Matter of fact she acts like she can boss us around. What's more it looks like she might become our new case manager, a position for which she is EXTREMELY under-qualified. I keep saying I want to quit, but I end up sticking for another month or so before the next incident and then the cycle repeats itself. |

| Yeah, it's a bummer that work isn't giving us Monday off. Complete bullshit this year with this company.
My co-workers are pieces of shit, but I'm still setting about decorating the center for the holidays. While some say it looks like my friend (the secretary) and I have gone overboard, I still don't feel like it's enough.

| It's one of the few things I get superstitious about -- talking about upcoming things to which I'm looking forward -- because it's as though I always jinx them and then they fall apart.
I actually wrote out something of a list and then got anxious and deleted it. 
I'll just say, I guess, that I'd really like to find a new job. I've been pretty unhappy with this one for a while now. I'd also like to travel some in the next year, and I'm making some attempts to put that into motion. What is your favorite kind of soup? |

Going through being a widow on the weekends, which is about the usual for this time of year. It's our first Christmas since getting married and I really don't have presents for anyone. I made scarves for each of the people in my house, made one for a client, and now I'm making Hogwarts house scarves for my friends' children. |

| Believe it or not, I have not played much Smash Bros. I've been to parties where most of the gathering is in the living room, watching everyone play. People with Gameboys and Switches joining in on the screen. Eventually they all get bored and everyone plays as the same character in seven different colors.

| Playing "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey" now. I'm still a low level, but I've been running around in areas where all the enemy NPCs at level 42 because fuck it, I've got a ship, a horse I can summon and run EVERYWHERE, and an eagle that can show me where all the bad guys are. | |||
