**hugs** To be honest, I have never gone through a divorce. Never been married, and my parents never stayed together long enough. They dated in June, my mom got pregnant with me in August, and he left her a week later. Though my mom was with him before that, he left her, then when I came alone. He left her. And then she did it once more. So her own stupid fault.

There are few people in my family happily married, or that have been happily married for a while. The others just aren't married, or got divorced before I was born. Same with my friends. I can cound on my one hand how many of them have married parents, but they never lived through a divorce either, if that makes any sense.

I guess to comfort her, just be there for her as you would for anything. The most that I could give advice on is about the baby. My life story is not having my mom and dad like each other even, let alone be together, yet I still would see both of them.

Yup...just what the title says...Quotes I've got a few that I like myself, but I'll only post three, since most of the quotes that I enjoy are from movies or songs, and I'd like to see what everyone else has before I make a thousand page list of the ones I have. lol.

So they can be funny, serious, whatever...and don't just list them, comment and/or explain them a bit to help prevent spam.

1) "Duct tape is like the force...It has a light side, a dark side, and holds the universe together." <--That I used for a school project in the beginning of the year. I forget where that one came from, but it does apply to my outlook in life. Star Wars and duct tape.

2) "A boss is like a diaper. Always on your ass and full of shit." <---teehee....on a hat I bought for my pop.

3) "Death doesn't scare me...but dying scares the hell out of me." <---it went something like that. My friend Mike used that for his project. Dunno where he got it from, but I find it to be true for most people, including myself.

**nods** The Jedi Apprentice series is kickass. I started reading it in like the 6th grade or so...7th maybe....I think that's when they first started comming out. **shrugs** The first one is my favorite though

Other than that, as I've confessed before, I haven't really read the books, played the games, or anything like that. Life just got to busy within the past few years and I hardly had time to read anything, let alone Star Wars stuff Yah, I know, there has been books about it for a long long time now, but hey, when I actually had all that time, those were the days I also had to depend on someone taking me to the library or something.

As for games, I've played them but not enough. I have KOTOR, but it's at my dad's and I don't like going there . I know a lot of people didn't care too much for Ep. 1, but I do have the game for PS-X. I hate it. It's one of those games that I was interested in for a time, but it got old fast...yet...I find it so damned addictive at the same time...

I'll have to say both. **shrugs** I'm just an animal person in general. But I've had really good experiences interacting with both cats and dogs. We had this cat Cleo. Got her 2 years before I was born and she died when I was 12. She always laid on my mom's belly when she was pregnant with me and from then until she died, we were inseparable. Whenever my dad scared me or something, she'd go after him...and she did lots of other things like that. Same as my kitty cat Tabby that I have now

Whereas with dogs...I've always liked them and I've been saved by them on a few occasions. There was Midnight, back this past Thanksgiving...a friend of mine, their dog Rocky. He's never had to save me persay, but after seeing my dad yell at me one day, he doesn't let boys around me . ALl around, he's just a protective dog. And my great-gram's dog Buttons, he was protective too...so...**shrugs**

No, that's a different game. There was an Episode I game that basically was like you were playing the movie out....like I said...I hated it...but it was so damned addictive at the same time.

And Jedi Power battles...I never got into it enough to try and beat it or get far or anything. It was just fun to beat the crap outta things once in a while.

These prolly aren't very good names, especially with all these kickass names mentioned before. A friend of mine actually had a cat like the smaller one. She named her Skitzy, or we just called her Skitz a lot. **shrugs** They're so bright and cute though and this cat was black.

Bright things make me think of that candy Skittles for some reason...**shrugs** So Skittles? I know they're all stupid. Teehee.

You're prolly not going to like what I have to say here...and it may be a bit contradictory to what I've done myself...though I did eventually look for help...but not right away.

I don't think you should hide them. Yes, cuts heal. Hell we've all had them. Some scar, but you get the point...but what made you do it in the first place...that's what the problem is. Only because, cuts do heal...but if the reasons don't, then what are the odds that its going to stop?

Question is...who do you go to for help? Well...sometimes parents are an option, friends, other family members or whatever...but I'm not exactly sure who in RL you'd feel comfortable going to...but obviously there's something you trust about this board. Why talk about something so personal if you didn't...ya know? So I implore you to please talk to someone...anyone that you feel comfortable with. You're more than welcome to come to me if you'd like.

So my best advice on how to conceal them...go to someone so that they never come up again.

Again, this is all probably stuff that you don't want to hear, and I'm really sorry...but I truly mean what I've said.

Now in the dead of winter or summer, when most people are usually over the allergy season, I get them really bad. >< Fevers, chills, tough time breathing, sneezing, coughing...all that stuff has been guaranteed to me at least twice a year since I was a baby. Yet the doctors still diagnose it as allergies. **shrugs**

I've been watching a lot of stand-up comedy lately and I've gotten into some new stuff as far as comedians are concerned. My favorites always were Dennis Leary and Jim Breuer and a lot of older people like Bill Cosby. His stand-ups are actually pretty damned funny.

But yah...living off of Comedy Central has gotten me into other comedians. Pablo Francisco, Dave Chapel, oh, and omg...Blue Collar TV...lol. That show has me in stitches quite often. Another comedian I like is Christopher Titus. Yah, he had that show Titus and all...but he's sooooo much funnier in stand-up.

So...what about anyone else? Yes I got the idea for this thread from the British Comedies thread. They're pretty funny too.

I don't really watch Mad TV...but SNL is kickass. I like the older SNL stuff better though...like with Chris Farley and stuff.

And Chappelle...that's it...glad Ryan was here to spell that for me. Teehee. He is pretty kickass..."White Power!"

Foxworthy...Foxworthy I like. I like the other guys on Blue Collar with him better.(don't watch that much TV, so I really dunno much, I can only name what I see constantly whenever I do watch TV) But I do like Jeff so yah...**shrugs**

It just baffles me how much some people can take...or do for the matter...it truly does.

Like those stupid women cases...My aunt Gina came by for a visit today and she's back with th esame asshole AGAIN!!! He beats the shit outta her. My aunt is 25 years old, and let's just say that I have an inch and 5 pounds on her. She's a very tiny woman and he just...beats the hell outta her pretty much...and she's back with him after a third time!! He calls her fat and ugly...and really she's skinny and beautiful, she really is....and like I dunno...that's the basic summary of the situation...

What pisses me off the most though, is that she has a three-year-old-son, and he watches the abuse and is abused from time to time as well...It's one thing to make a stupid decision for yourself, but...When people hurt their kids, or just kids in general....being the kid person that I am, it just tears me apart. No, she isn't abusing her son, but she's putting him in those situations, and she does nothing to stop it when she sees it!!!

I hate being so judgemental here, because I've made some stupid mistakes...stayed with people that I shouldn't have, and out up with crap too long...but I'll tell you, those VERY rare times when ANY of them had put a hand up to me....well wouldn't be much of a hockey player if I let that happen, now would I? But like I dunno...even my baby sisters or nieces and nephews...they're my babies, and if I was ever with someone who would harm them in ANY way...I'd drop their ass both figuratively and literally...

Yet my aunt lets this stuff happen to her...and her own son!!!

Yah, I know that's a bit personal information...but I mean it's stuff that you normally hear on the news...has now become very real to me...and I mean...if there's anyone here who is unsure of themselves enough to even THINK about allowing this to happen...We're going to have a talk, because it's not normal, and it's not right.

Or if anyone knows of instances that pisses them off like that and they need to get it off their chest, then please do.

Sweetie, don't be sorry for anything. That was a truly terrifying experience for you all...**huggles** I'm so sorry.

If this thread upsets anyone in any way, then please close it immediately. Abuse is a personal and terrifying subject...I just needed to get that off my chest really and like I dunno...today was the last straw. I'm so sick of these very real cases of abuse in my life...some of the abuse has been toward myself, and those I love very much. I talked to a lot of people tonight, like my family, friends, etc...I talked a lot to my little sisters, and my oldest nieces and nephew. The other kids are really little, so to prevent them from being in abusive situations, I'm sticking to just simply trying to set good examples until they get older and I won't be afraid to scar them by talking to them...

But living with the slightest insecurity can lead to people accepting such an abusive life...and like...it's wrong. That was just the situation for my aunt in a nutshell, and there's been other instances of abuse in my life...and just...rather than sit back and say that it pisses me off that that stuff happens, I'm doing something about it. I'm talking to people and all so that's the true purpose of this thread...if there's something that peole need to get off their chest, or like...just I'm always available to talk to if someone is in this sort of situation somehow, nor knows someone who is or whatever...

And Sagin...**hugs** I'm really sorry...and I hope that you'll do something about it as well...no one should deal with abusive parents...it does more to you than physically, that's for damned sure.

No, I haven't been in a comercial, but I have been on the news before. Was just a passerby who was too absorbed in my thoughts or reading a book while I was walking or something to realize the cameras and stuff were there. Otherwise I woulda avoided them. =/
