| Yeah, I showed up at 8, and Scott (manager at EB) let us in at 11. Then the Wii retailer guy showed up and we got cool shit. I got: A DS pen, an Elite Beat Agents Badge thingy, a Wii shirt, Wii notebook, and a Wii sticker.
And before 11, when we are all lined up, he came out once and a while and gave out 'awards'. Some of the stuff he had. I got a patch for knowing so much. He said that I was always there, telling customers about the Wii. I always knew the launch dates, the changes, and hell sometimes even how many units he had. My mom got a cool DS Lite lanyard for guessing his ringtone. Oh, and I was the first one (just because he bumped me to the front because I had some trade-ins  ), and so I got filmed by a news crew when he gave out the first Wii. It was cool... |

| Darynia looked into the distance and Shine became a white speck on the horizon. She had gotten away this time. Apparently it wasn't her time. But it would come. Everyone had to deal with Darynia at some point.
The black energy shrank back towards Darynia, until it was just a small circle around him. He sunk into the ground, and the energy vanished. |

He silently leaps off the roof, gliding across the street, his trenchcoat flapping in the wind. He rolls as he lands, pausing a moment to make sure his presence had not been detected. Without standing he sinks through the roof, landing without a noise behind the couch Sanigen was resting on. He slowly reaches up and grasps the katana sheathed on his back. | |||

| The helicopter began to descend.
"Teleportation is one of the newest technologies developed by the Marinae scientists, but it has spread fast. We have tried to keep it secret, for the obvious strategic advantage." Jeremy climbed out of the helicopter and began to remove one of his leather gloves. "The principle is actually quite simple. A cloud of gas is dispensed, which causes the nervous and muscular system to relax greatly. Then you are just broken down into a stream of data and sent through a cable to the other end, where you are reassembled." He pressed his hand on a scanner, and scanned his retina before entering a small underground bunker. "The main problem is that all of the teleportation pads must be linked by a physical network. We've tried experimenting with wireless networks, but there is often some form of interference which leads to... disturbing results. We've pushed the success rate all the way up to 63 per cent." He climbed down a staircase into a small room. One side was occupied by a man operating several computers. The other two walls each had doorways. "This is one of our bunkers for monitoring the Suvoj base, no offense. It's occupied by three men, who take two shifts sleeping, and one shift working." He opened the door on the far wall. On the other side was a room solely occupied by a large green circular pad. "If you'll just stand on the pad, we will be instantly transported to our San Francisco HQ." Josiah took his shard back from Jack. Success. He stood. "Very good, I'm glad we could come to an agreement. Now, I need you to get a few choice items from the Marinae. I also need a shard.
