I you have steam and a source game (half-life 2, CS, Portal, etc), you can get GoldenEyeource for free. Its just like GoldenEye 64, but updated. Sometimes the damage is janky, but its good fun.

Also, HL2 is $9.99 on steam and comes with deathmatch.

I agree that all posts should use the most current post layout, as Mega-Mario stated. Having the choice is nice, but it does break old layouts where the image(s) are missing or corrupt.

Having auto-updating post layouts also saves space and reduces load on the server. For those less tech-inclined, this means the page loads faster and the site is happier.

Firefox doesn't seem to like that. Though, it does support bgcolor, but not as flexibly as CSS background attributes. What browser are you using?
(in any case the bgcolor thing is deprecated; for CSS is far more flexible)


Firefox 3.6.8 and IE 8 on win7 x64 both show only black for the polls...XD

Sorry, but I had to laugh at that one! I am also looking forward to Fable III. I love Fable 2 and Fable 1 was pretty good. I can't play Fable 1 anymore, since my XBox 360 doesn't read my copy anymore.

I use the mark forum read or mark all forums read links. It makes it easy. I look at the forums I want to and mark them as read, then hit mark all to clear the others. Easy as pie...or cake.

I use a 42" LCD HDTV at 1920x1080 (1080p) for my main screen, and I have a 22.5" LCD at 1680x1050. I use a small LCD at 1280x1024 for a secondary when I don't have my HDTV, but I need a second monitor (like at LAN parties).

Latest update on Project: BOSS: I thought I'd give Xeogaming a bit of a preview to show that I have actual progress! We are now in early alpha testing! YAY!

This preview shows 2 of my characters right after creating them as seen by another player (non-admin). All the links at the top work.

Character creation is easy and includes multiple classes, male and female pictures for each class, optional random name generation, and random rolls for stats with re-rolls allowed during creation. The character system works well so far, and stats will be difficult to max out, since it will take hundreds of levels to get enough points to max out one stat, let alone all 7. We're working on skills (aka abilities, weapon feats, spells, and such all in one little package) right now.

Also, 5 lucky Xeogaming members will be chosen to help test the system when the battle system is ready. I'll be updating weekly on Wednesdays.

As you may already know, I am working on an RPG/Battle thing for Xeogaming. However, I have no skill in creating good pixel art. But, to have a good game, I'm going to need some sprites and other art.

Therefore, I'm making a request: I need one or more artists to create some pixel art (sprites) for me to use. I will pay for quality art, but I'm going to need examples before I hire anyone or pay for anything. Yes, you did read that right - I will pay for the art. I am also willing to negotiate a profit share if this game gets any money.

For now, I only need static sprites (non-moving), but I may move up to motion sprites in the future. Until this thing starts getting off the ground, static images will be used. Sprites needed will include spell icons, ability icons, item icons (potions, equipment, etc), and character class sprites.

For more detailed information, feel free to post here or PM me.

IANAL, but I'm pretty sure the guy filming isn't violating any laws and probably can't be sued.
Generally, it's perfectly legal to videotape or photograph any person and anything while on public property...

Obviously you didn't read the "I Am Not A Lawyer" line I wrote. Also, I highlighted some key words in your post that strengthen my stance that it isn't illegal.

Also, you do have a point in the italicized sentence. ("...repeatedly taking close-ups despite someone's objections...could constitute disorderly conduct.")

It really depends on the age of the teen, in this case. If she is under 18, then yes, he is probably guilty of disorderly conduct with a camera AFTER the mother says he needs to stop. He is, IMHO, disorderly with the guy on the bike at the end. HOWEVER, if the teen is 18+, then (remember, IANAL), IMHO, the mother doesn't have the right to say that he can or cannot film her, only the girl can say that.

Also, please note that I think the guy is a perv and shouldn't be filming people the way he was. I also think he was very rude. But, I also don't think much, if anything, will come of this in terms of the law.

Topos, if you would like to argue with me about this, I'd be more than happy to do so, but not here. If you want to argue, PM me and we shall continue this argument/debate.
