Well, over my weekend I went to my Grandparent's house in Westchester, Pennsylvania. While their I went to the King of Prussia's mall with my sisters and I saw Reno 911, Ghost Rider, and Epic Movie. They were all pretty good except for Ghost Rider.

So this weekend I plan on going to my boyfriends like every weekend and simply relaxing. We've both been sick so it should be nice. There is always the possibilty of going to play pool, and we might go see Antigone at Long Beach City College.
It's funny, before I never really cared about the weekends. I never understood why people were so obsessed by TGIF. I always enjoyed school. Now I know. I love the weekends. I live for them. |

Originally posted by Makura Believe you me, I was in that same boat up until high school. Around when I finally got something of a social life and started to feel apathetic about school. Anyway, my plans for the weekend: - Tonight: Going to see the Beastly Bombing with Zoso. The guy starring in it played the Criminologist for my Rocky cast for a while. - Tomorrow night: Will either see a pirate band in Whittier or go to the Chinese Lantern Festival. - Sunday: Try to see Antigone and then hit a hookah bar with some friends. Yesterday hung out at a bar with Zoso and Junkie watching a few local bands and one headed by the tour singer for Alice in Chains. |

I went to a track meet last Saturday. I ran the mile, the 800m, the 400m, and the 4x4 rellay. St. Vincents is a fairly small school and most of the other schools there were better than us but I still had lots of fun. My girlfriend showed up at the meet unexpectidly so I was really happy most of the day. Me and some friends went out to dinner afterwards and I ate 3/4 of a pizza.

Nothing most recently but my friend came over and help me in RE4 to beat the the Village level with Ada Wong in the Mercanies.
Hate those Chainsaw Sisters. I have no strategy to beat them with a certain character. (Last edited by insectduel on 03-05-07 06:14 PM) |

Originally posted by Makura Heh, who'd take offense to that. This last weekend was very eventful and I'm still exhausted from it. - Thursday (my weekend starts in the late afternoon on Thursdays), went to a bar with Junkie and Zoso to see a few bands, on being headed by the tour singer for Alice in Chains. When his band was done they threw down their instruments and walked away. - Friday, saw "The Beastly Bombing," a satirical operetta about neo-Nazis and Middle Eastern terrorists joining forces, falling in love and all that. It was most excellent. Later, had Thai food in downtown Hollywood. - Saturday, went to the Chinese Lantern Festival in Chinatown. Since it was a hot day, I bought a large Chinese parasol ($3, woohoo!) and watched the Silver Dragon parade and Shaolin monks demonstrate their martial arts, among many other things. Some Aztec dancers showed up and competed for attention against the festival and each other (different Aztec dance groups showed up. Heh, You Got Served with Aztec dancers instead). - Sunday, finally got to see "Antigone," which featured GuardianOni and Venomouslobster. Both were great, I might add. Got to hang with Elara, briefly. Afterwards, while helping strike the set, Junkie showed up to pick me up to hang out with his friends and smoke hookah. Some bad things went down, but oh well, it all turned out well in the end. Ended up at Norm's with kittybob and Zoso 'til nearly 3 a.m. (Last edited by Rogue on 03-07-07 04:12 PM) |

What I'm doing this weekend is to go to the strip bar and party all night. It's good to do that once in a while but I'm easilly bored.
Except I don't need to drink alcoholic beverages at this moment while I'm partying. |

This weekend's been pretty busy too, but this one has been REALLY exhausting at the same time.
- Thursday: The Buddhist monks had a ceremony to destroy the very lovely and detailed sand mandala they had created. It illustrates that nothing is permanent and it purifies the environment. I'll have to post pictures. That night, Zoso, kittybob, her boyfriend (her baby's daddy ), and I saw 300 in IMAX at midnight. It was awesome having 500 people there with you cheering and getting excited about everything. Some dressed up as Spartans with tin foil armor. Didn't get home and go to sleep 'til 5 a.m. - Friday: Zoso's band, Voidcrush, had another gig at a bar 50 miles from home. Didn't get home 'til 5 a.m. again. - Saturday: Got up early and headed out to the big Native American Pow Wow at the university. Watched the grand entry, dancing competitions, and then went to the Smithsonian Week lecture on Native storytelling. More dancing and other festivities afterward. Hopped on a bus to Zoso's work so we could immediately leave for his band's show, also nearly 50 miles from home. A fist fight broke out on the bus, making it run completely off schedule. The gig went over well. Didn't get home until 5 again. Would have been out later if we actually partied on the Indian reservation with the other band both nights like they wanted us to do. It isn't bragging when I say that I've been out this late several nights in a row. It's absolute exasperation. I naturally wake up really early and can't go back to sleep once I've opened my eyes in the morning. I feel so fucking old. I've also been chronically dehydrated these last couple days, although I didn't realize it 'til now. It's been unrelentingly hot and here I am drinking soda with everything. Well, this past weekend was an 11:50PM showing of 300 at Long Beach Town Center (I envy Rogue so much for being able to see it in IMAX). Still awesome though.
Saturday was one D&D game in which all we really did was watch our friend Ken acting odd because he was drunk out of his mind among other things... then had Italian food at the boyfriend's house. I was so tired I wanted to just crash there, but I went home since my folks suck. Sunday: another game (Age of Worms), which started around 11AM and went to nearly 11PM. We killed the first Dracolich ever created in 3 rounds, and my character hit epic level! My first EVER 21st level character! Huzzah! Next weekend however shall be a mixture of happiness and bordom. The happy part is that I am going to The World Famous Poxy Boggards' 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Show at the Galaxy with friends. The boring part is the 5-7 page paper on the Materialism school I have to write for my Theory of History class. |

Originally posted by Elara The theater we were at sold out on IMAX and there was even a 3 a.m. showing which ALSO sold out. In fact, their IMAX tickets were sold out through Saturday afternoon. We had bought our tickets online last week. Seriously, though, the other midnight four showings (all 35mm versions) along with the one IMAX also sold out (there were 5 theaters showing it at the one we went to), but people from those lines kept walking ours offering a trade of tickets and on top of that would give anyone who would trade $20 for every pair of tickets. No one succeeded. One girl even threw a fit that people were jerks for not giving up their tickets to her. There was so much security on us too. They let our line in at 10 because they didn't want the 35mm people to harass us IMAX people so much. It was a crazy night, I tell ya. Someone had brought a TV with an N64 and several games and the moment our line moved, they just got up and left it all there. Controllers and games sprawled all over and the TV still on. I had the best weekend I've had in a long time.
On Friday Pockets and I had an interesting morning. I wasn't feeling good and hadn't done an essay that was due so I didn't go to school. Instead I drove to work with Pockets and was planning on sleeping in the car. We got there really early and fell asleep. Didn't wake up until half an hour after he was supposed to go in. So he freaks out and runs inside and I try to go back to sleep. Ten seconds later he comes out saying that it's his day off (He gets one a month). We went home and slept for a bit. Then, went to see 300. It was amazing. If you haven't seen it yet go see it ASAP. It was really the best movie I've seen in a really long time. After the movie we went to dinner at Lucille's and we shared a tri-tip salad. It was tasty. We meadered over to Barnes and Noble and I finially found some more Poppy Z. Brite books, and Pockets finally found a Scott Cunningham book he's been looking for forever. We ended the night with seeing Pocket's speech teacher play guitar and sing a bunch of really romantic oldies at It's a Grind. Saturday, I cleaned Pockets' room and we had dinner with his dad (tri-tip again for all of us). And on Sunday we stayed in, did homework, cleaned the kitchen, went grocery shopping, made a lasagna, and watched Troy I wasn't feeling to well so I slept through most of it. It was an eventful weekend, but really great. |
