I personally think this one will be the worst. It has Ashanti in it, end of story.

I heard they're going to bring Leon in it too. Blah.

The first one was the best. And I don't think that's going to change.

The first one was alright, though I definitely think more focus on the mansion (ie, more accurate to the game) may have been creepier, and thus better. However, zombie shoot-out-fest is more exciting, I guess. Then there was the second... ugh.

I admit, I'm a bit excited to see this one! I hope they don't do the classic, trilogy flop....we all know how that ends, Im sure. *sigh* But lets hope!

It was exactly how I thought it'd be....

...lame.

The action was good in parts. But the dialogue was too cheesy and the ending wasn't the best.

The guy that plays Wesker is terrible.

I'm easy when it comes to movies, I pretty much like anything.

I do think the first one is the best, though. It seemed in this one they werejust playing off of the "hey, let's go see a hot chick that knows how to fight" audience.

But still, I liked.

This is not resident evil.
There has never been a Resident Evil game with "Alice" as the main character.
All these movies sucked completely. End of story.

Just because they don't follow the game doesn't mean they are not good movies?

Most movies made after books/other things never completely follow, but that doesn't mean they're not entertaining...?

Doom, Tomb Raider, Alone in the Dark, Final Fantasy: Spirit Within (talk about A HUGE difference), Super Mario Bros., do I have to point out more?

I watched it. Few things that ticked me off:
Spoiler:

- The whole "we have a cargo box full zombies, but there are several more, despite the limited size" thing going on.

- LJ got bitten... And I swore the zombie bit him through the clothes (like a protection) and yet if there was blood, how they could not see that one coming?

- Zombie crow situation. What... the... fuck?

- "Hi, we killed Nemesis (A.K.A. more infected dude) before, and now we bring him back again! Oh this time, he get killed by a laser beam we saw earlier before in the movie, including the scene from Resident Evil move." Puh-lease, that was the dumbest way to kill him.

- Two Alices. Nice, but no.

Overall, this movie still seem kind of bad too.

Movie based on a video game.

Bad.

Will be bad.

Any and all hype makes it worse.

...except for Alone in the Dark and Doom(neither of which I've seen) I liked those movies...

But yeah, I haven't seen any of the Resident Evil movies, and I don't really plan to, but the trailers look fairly cool. I just don't really like zombie movies.

Actually come to think of it... the Street Fighter move, with Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile was actually very very good, for a movie made in 1994...

...

It was VERY good. Espescially when you compare it to the game series that it's based on... I wonder what happened to it.

I think it was that last still frame, where all the actors did the victory pose that really sold it for me. Ken with his one fist in the air, Ryu with his arms folded, looking to the side, Chun Li jumping into the air, like Marle from Chrono Trigger, frozen in place, Zangief with two fingers pointed up, Guile giving us the thumbs up.

It was just very epic, and totally awesome.

I have to say I loved the Mario Bros movie because it moved away from the game series. I just couldn't see a movie closely related to the game series be good... Unless it was done with CGI, then it might be better. But live action wouldn't have worked too well if they stuck close to the Mario Bros plot... Which there isn't much of.

ANYWAY! Getting on topic. It's unfortunate that I didn't get to see this film at the pictures (OMG British words for you )... The damn local place weren't showing it. I guess I'll wait for the DVD or until a decent version appears on TV Links. I did however enjoy the first two, the first more than the second.
