So yeah, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say we're all pretty busy these days?

I've got 15 units and work.

At least I've usually got Fridays and Saturdays to myself.

Sort of.

It's a bit annoying being one of the top journalism schools in California so people keep wanting to hold writing/editing/awards events on your campus on the weekends and you're stuck playing host.

Interesting to see this from the other end.

So, what's up with everyone else? Life hitting you hard?

University and problems. Lots of them. I fix one and another one comes from out of nowhere?

My solution? When there's a really small problem showing up, I won't fix it.

Then I'll be safe =D

I'm a full time drone currently working at Prescription Solutions, packing your medications.

Also I started working out this week... I hope I can keep at it. I'm actually mostly interested in doing this to see if it helps improve my sleeping habits. The last few months have been pretty terrible, so I'm hoping getting some physical activity in here and there will help my body shutdown at night when it needs to. Kind of ironic how this works for a lot of people.

I'm having an onslaught of car problems too and I just poured ~$500 into it already a month ago or something. Ever since I hit that cylinder block (or something!?) in Feb. it's been having tons of issues. More recently it keeps overheating... or the thermostat is messed up because the radiator is new this year, it's not leaking, and I've replaced both hoses. The awesome news is since it's a foreign car (Acura) a simple thermostat will go for about $40 for the cheap ones! And there's no way I'd want to replace it myself, so add in some labor there. I need new tires all around and ealjkgdlaskdsahgds.

I guess the mileage was too good for cash for clunkers?

But yeah... I have chiropractor appointments MWF (oh yeah, it was that messed up), class on MWTh, work on SuMTu, I try to get in some gym time on Thursdays as well. Fridays and Saturdays are really my only free days (until the papers start being due... oh boy) and I only get to sleep in on one of them. Plus the kittens have really entered the "agent of destruction" mode and make a mess of everything... they are also little poo factories and I'm always the one stuck changing the litter because it messes with the boyfriend's asthma.

I still manage to have gaming on Wednesday evenings and sometimes on Fridays, let's see how long I can keep that up.

And Xeu... why does the thought of you packaging meds scare me just a bit?

Pretty badass Kyoku. Are you fluent in any other language but English? You do sooo much traveling!

**looks around**

**sighs**

So busy! All of us! Most of those posting in this thread were all the most active people when I first joined and became obsessed with this place. Haha.

At the moment, I'm not AS busy as I will be...this is kinda the calm before the storm. See, I just got a second job. So I'm now working GameStop AND Bath and Body Works. The second job isn't so bad so far, and quite frankly, I was so desperate for a second job that I jumped on the first place that hired me.

Just started school. Finally the film major I've always wanted to be...well...Cinema/Video is what the kids are calling it nowadays. Only working two or three days a week at the moment. I put in for limited availability at GameStop so I can finish the training period at the other job unadultured. My boss at GameStop is a good guy and works well with his employees...but the good/shitty thing about B&BW is that the manager there does her scheduling every three weeks. Which is awesome for me now, since retail isn't really about set scheduling so much. So, I'll know for an entire three weeks what I'm doing at one job, which gives me ample time to let my other job know my availability.

Long story short, once I'm officially on schedule at B&BW, I'm looking to be working 5 days a week, my only days off being Wednesdays and Thursdays, since I don't get done classes until late those days. Then school Monday through Friday.

Doesn't really sound like much when I put it that way, but come Black Friday, I will hate life until the end of January. Besides, the whole having two jobs doesn't REALLY do me any justice at the moment. I'm still only looking to work 25 hours a week or so...but come the Summer, or my month of Winter Break...even the week of Spring Break, I could be pulling 60 hours a week or so, anticipating about 30 between each job. I already have the seniority at GameStop for my guaranteed 30 hours those times...and the other job is taking me in as management (part of why training is taking two weeks, not just the first...two weeks with limited number of shifts that is.)

So yeah...good thing for having a course syllabus...I'm using this week and possibly next week to just get as far ahead with school as I can.

Basically what Elara said. The thought of doing school or having a second job on top of the job I have now kills me. Though I think it's just my work in general, (pharmacy warehouse), it kind of drains the life out of you anyways.

I'm thinking of continuing to work full time until the end of the year saving up money, then going back to school full time next semester (ie: Quitting this job. I started Feb, so that'll be about a good year in or so. Then might look for something part time again). Kind of been looking into getting an AAS in Electronics Technology, might be something I'd enjoy and it sounds specific enough... maybe it beats out a generic AAS? No idea!

I was thinking of going that route. Just going straight to ITTech or something, but... tons of money. I think I'll go back to my community college and see if I can get stuff done there first, lol.

Congrats on the wedding True/OneShot (Sorry, I think True is a REALLY cute nickname, so it sticks out.)

And Cairoi...maybe...just maybe, if you answered your damned texts and we could figure out a time and place to meet up....I could read your gorram book!!

And insane robot may be true...but that's poor insane robot to you. Just went to the dentist today and had to shell out 110 bucks that I didn't have...so now I'm in yet another hole...which going into detail about would be like preaching to the choir. I think everyone here knows what that's like, so my situation is no worse.

I'm just watching what having kids young did to my family. Taking full advantage of my state of non-motherhood and getting as much done as I possible can.
