Looking at the clouds roll in the sky Colors fade on the rainbow of age Fairytales smudge from its page The nothing takes over our open mind Making it harder to unwind Flowers get blurry after a day As crayons eventually get thrown away And as we grow, we wish we were young And forget all the tunes that were sung Yet all the wishing won't color that picture And all the anti-aging products just won't be the right mixture We wonder why the world seems gray It's because we forgot the way Of the child, and all its glory Sit down and read a story Tell a tale no matter if it maks sense Make your bedroom into tents No one is saying you can't do adult things too Just remember that the sky doesn't always have to be blue |
