It's not definite, but it's possible they may have found a cure.
There's still a lot of testing to do. SOURCE Originally posted by Huffington Post (Last edited by Rogue on 12-15-10 03:08 AM) |

I can only hope that this makes the United States see the potential in at least researching stem cells.
Not going to get my hopes up too much, but congrats to the doctors who achieved this. |

That is awesome... but if it truly works who will shell out the money to help the poor people? | |||

Well, it's sort of like every great human achievement.
Look at books. For centuries only the most wealthy could read or buy books, especially when books were handwritten. Then they became more readily available through movable type, and now there are books everywhere. Not to compare a complex medical procedure to mass production, but I suppose we should rejoice in the fact that there's progress. Unfortunately, however, those who are sick now may not be helped. I'm sure the doctors are only interested in saving lives; their administrators, the drug companies, and so on might be more interested in their wallets. |

Too true, and I guess you're pretty right. Regardless this wouldn't be a miracle overnight either way. Let's certainly hope this goes somewhere though for the best. |
