I don't care whether you're red, blue, green, or what have you. VOTE!

So many people died for your right to have a say in your government and you should at least honor them by filling in that bubble, writing that name, clicking that link, pressing that button, and making your voice heard.

Young people aren't voting nearly enough.

Gonna try to, but I've got work tomorrow and I have no idea how long the wait will be. If I can get there in time, though, I will.

Shouldn't be too bad; once every four years, there's a benefit to living in a small town.

I'm more concerned about studying for midterms. Otherwise I would.

Voting takes a few minutes, just get up early.

I have class at 9:30am, I will be getting up at 7 to walk to the polling place as soon as it opens. Literally, wake up, put on warm clothes, walk... before breakfast, shower, or anything else, I am going to vote. Oh, and I anticipate the temperature to be just above freezing.

In order to avoid the awkwardness of voting with my parents, Brandon and I are just going to walk to our polling place in the next town. Yay, exercise!

Edit: That was when it was Kerry vs Bush -- I had never even heard of the other candidates until I saw them on the ballot. Kinda stupid how Democrats and Republicans are able to use so much money for their rallies yet the Libertarians and others are nearly unheard of, unless of course one were to go digging. Anyway, I had felt great trepidation while voting that year, as no matter what I chose, I felt as though I was choosing the wrong thing. It was like choosing between a beating, a lashing, or a pounding. I honestly feel that way this year as well.

If the two major candidates would be more respectful to one another and show a bit of bipartisanship instead of slander, I would be the first person in town to fill out my ballot. Instead, I'll check out a ballot tomorrow but if I can't make a solid decision for each of the categories, I simply won't send it in. While I lean more toward Obama, that's merely because he is much less likely than Romney to strip liberties away from citizens -- but then again, I don't feel strongly about Obama. I would like to see his plans come to fruition, but that may just be a dark and twisty road along the way.

In short, what I'm saying is that I don't feel comfortable with voting for anybody who I don't support. Or meth-heads stealing my identity. Again.

So my alarm didn't go off... so I had to vote after class. But yes, +1 for Obama from me.

And Cteno, that is a far better reason than "studying for midterms".

They don't have polls in Oregon?!

Voted!

And the Baptist church that's Brandon's and my polling place was giving out cookies. So yeah, I've got my nifty sticker, an M&M cookie, and a bottle of water.

Yeah, it's weird. A few years ago, it was somewhat hybrid -- we could go to the school just down the street from my house to vote. Nowadays, it's only through the mail as far as I know. I checked my address last night on a few "where to vote" websites, they all came up as unavailable.

Reading into it, it looks like Oregon instituted a vote-by-mail system.

If people are stealing your ballot, report fraud, man. You're being disenfranchised.

I overslept

In my defense, for several days my room was below sixty degrees because, to my great surprise, my grandmother forgot she had the AC on. So when we finally put a stop to that, I was in need of some sleep.

On the plus side, I did convince both of my grandparents, and they did vote.

Not much we could do about it. We never found out who did it and I was the only one on the block to be hit by it.

Switched over to Fox just to get a load of the sourpuss, bitter attitudes. During a shot of the crowd outside of the White House this kid just shouted, on live TV, "Ammmmeeeeeeeerica! FUCK YEAH!!"

Nice.

Obama wins, large amounts of Democrats win Congressional seats, marijuana legalized in Washington and Colorado, and gay marriage legalized in Maine and Maryland. Yay!

Wow... Trump must have forgotten when Gore lost to Bush. Same scenario as he's whining about.
