Eh, a few minor gripes aside, it played well and the mechanics were quite good. I'm sure that fans of Call of Duty or Halo will love it when it's released.

Getting back in to Dark Souls. I intend to actually finish it by the time DS2 comes out for the PC.

I played through "South Park: The Stick of Truth" last week. Took a day and a half to beat it and I'm not that big in console gaming.

New laptop is running Dolphin incredibly well...

So I'm playing Tales of Symphonia again.

I haven't tried dicking around with Dolphin in a long time. Is it relatively stable nowadays?

I'm on Windows 8.1, so take that for what it's worth.

It's pretty stable for me, but it depends on what drivers I'm using. For example, in Dolphin 4.0.2, the default audio driver made my game crash all the time. Going back to DirectShow, I don't get any crash at all.

Then again, I haven't tried that many games so, again, take that for what it's worth.

Other than a few difficulties that I have had while updating (requiring a format and reinstall, same things that happened when I was on 7), there isn't a single thing that I don't like about Windows 8.1 that I don't like.

Most people miss their start button (there's a fix for that) and hate Metro (which I haven't seen in months). So far, I've had better game performance and very few gaming issues, most of those being related to Games for Windows Live.

Some drivers also don't play nice, since they changed how that works.

But yeah, I haven't seen the Metro interface in forever.

Currently playing Dark Souls II, nearly done with easy mode. After that, I'm not sure whether I'm going to tackle NG+ or start a different character.

Picked up all the Bioshock games off Steam for $10 the other day, so I'm finally playing those. I'm still pretty early in the first one since I keep running around collecting all the shit.

My inner OCD definitely comes out in those games. It's so much that it might feel a bit tedious at times.

In Infinite, Elizabeth actually picks things up for you. I thought that was an amazing addition to the formula.

Currently playing FFX HD myself, and really enjoying it. This used to be my least favorite one, but it's been 10 years... I'm digging it now.

Yeah, I finished the first one, started into Bioshock 2 and then just said fuck it and skipped into Infinite.

I just got Elizabeth a chapter or so ago, but fuck.. what is with this being autosave ONLY? It's a bitch because I'll want to sneak in some play here and there before doing shit, just to wander around an area of the game and I can't just save at will before a fight or whatever following a half hour of running around exploring.

I wanted to replay a chapter here or there just to look at things I missed in the pre-lottery festival, but to do so would overwrite my latest autosave. FUCK!

I'm not too keen on the first aid system here either when I got so used to just medicating myself at will and reloading EVE when I needed it rather than desperately running around searching corpse's pockets for food when I've been shot too much.

But enough of the complaints, this is a BEAUTIFUL game. Holy smokes, you can SEE all of the effort, hear all of the voice acting. It's magnificent!

And oh my god, your melee weapon is AWESOME!!

What was the melee weapon? I forgot haha. I want to say it was some big red wrench or something...

Yeah the autosave was a bit tedious. I recall having to replay a few areas off and on when I thought it had saved at a later point or something.

You going to check out the DLC? I need to replay and hit those up.

You have the wrench in the first game, but in Infinite you have that hook that you wear on your left hand. You hold down V when you're in front of people and it just kills them in the most gruesome ways. You also use it to latch onto hooks and the gondola rails.

Holy crap, I wish that were a ride at an amusement park or something. I want a simulator ride of Booker and Elizabeth escaping the statue and falling and grabbing onto things. It could take over the Simpsons ride that Universal replaced the "Back to the Future" ride with.

And I'll have to check out the DLCs. They didn't come with the package I bought off Steam, sadly.

OH wow, yeah now I remember.

The violence was something I loved in the game, because it was so brutal it helped me question what was going on later in the game heh.

Some people still seem to like Bioshock more, but I definitely think Infinite is my favorite.

I've been spoiled playing the Fallout games. I miss getting to choose where I go and when. With Bioshock, you're just stalling, looking around, before you have to go to the next battle area.

But yes, I like Infinite more, though I really hate not getting to carry spare food, medical kits, weapons, ammo, and salts.
