I really don't do book series, but I suppose I've only scratched the surface enough on Discworld, that I should actually sit down and read it.

I've really read two or three Terry Pratchett books, and that's including "Good Omens," which he co-wrote with Gaiman.

I'd probably ring the doctors or something, or just sit there and wait for it to pass.

What would you do if some idiot insulted you on the street?

Depends. I've engaged with these before, but most of the time I just end up laughing and ultimately ignoring them, which does more damage than actually fighting them.

What's the breakdown of what you do online?

Windows XP? Not sure.

I'm really not all that computer literate. Seems like I'll get used to something and then the latest version comes out, the boyfriend will start using it on our computer, and then I'm ranting about how much I hate the new thing, how I can't find something any more, etc. The cycle continues.

Hmn... if I got a choice... probably like the best cut of steak I can get with potatoes au gratain... and a ton of chocolate.

What is something that you have had to explain to someone that you honestly didn't think you had to explain?

For example: I had to explain taquitos to someone.

You would think with the sort of people I work with I'd have to explain all sorts of basic things to them, and you'd be right, but it's nothing completely out of reason (safety, how things work, etc.)

Hm, the most astounding stupid question I have been asked will always be the girl who asked me how she would be able to print a sound, when I was working at the newspaper office at LBCC. She was putting together a brochure in QwarkXpress for a class project and wanted her brochure to make a sound on being opened.

Trying to explain to a college student that one cannot simply print a sound in 2004 is not something I'd ever thought I'd have to do.

Probably having them watch as their grandmother descends into a downward spiral of dementia and the inability to care for herself or walk without falling and having endless hallucinations that cause her to have frequent panic attacks, and then she needs to be placed in a home while the rest of your family thinks you're a piece of shit for not just keeping her at your own house and giving up your entire life for her care, which is limited because you don't have all the training she needs. And then... THEN when you think it's all working out, you discover that the home was given permission by her "son"-slash-your-"uncle" to put her into hospice care and simply sedate her all the time and keep her in bed for the rest of her life. ALL WHILE YOUR AUNT IS POCKETING YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S MONEY TO FEED HER GAMBLING ADDICTION.

Most of these people I haven't seen since the funeral, and frankly never want to see again.

I hope they all get bitchslapped by karma.

Unique about my hometown... uh... we made national news for how corrupt our one treasurer was back when I was in high school or so. Other than that... the section I am actually from is completely separated from the rest of the town by the LA River and the freeway... we should totally be part of Paramount.

Hm, at the moment, Shake Shack. I finally tried it, and yeah, I'm definitely seeing what all the hype is about. I've only tried them once and I don't remember the name of the burger, but it was good.

What currently running (still putting out new episodes) TV shows are you watching?

Currently, "Silicon Valley," "American Gods," and "Orange Is The New Black."

When they come back this summer, I'll be all over "Game of Thrones" and "Rick and Morty."

And of course whenever these restart, whenever that may be: "Vikings," "The Man In The High Castle," "Westworld," and "Metalocalypse" (if that one EVER gets funding again.)

I listen to a lot of NPR, so I like shows like Snap Judgement, The Moth Radio Hour, TED Talks, Radiolab, Ask Me Another, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and the Best of Car Talk, which I can all listen to on the KPCC app as podcasts.

Not sure what you're referring to by season, but if you're referring to actual seasons of the year:

Winter - dunno, really, it's cold
Spring - isn't too hot or cold, I go on holiday, etc.
Summer - no school for me in August, although it's too damn hot
Autumn - mine and my gf's birthdays, also it isn't too hot or cold

Have you ever tried to use Windows ME? If so, did it works or was it acting badly?

Yep, that's essentially what I was looking for.

In answer to the question, no, I haven't. I went from using Windows 98 to XP.

Tough one... I have a lot of friends that have not seen Game of Thrones, but they have heard of it. I suppose American Gods since not as many people pay attention to what Starz does.

Since hot was asked... I gotta ask what is your favorite cold beverage?

Pop, water, tea etc. Basically anything that is cold.

What are your favorite musical artists/bands from the New wave, synthpop, post-punk, punk and industrial genres (Basically anything from the late 1970's to the 1980's)

When it comes to new wave, it begins and ends with Oingo Boingo for me. I'm not much of a fan of the genre otherwise.

I have more than a few favorite punk bands from that era. Favorite would be Bad Religion, only based on the fact that I've seen them live a few more times than others.

A co-worker's been trying to get me into The Cramps.
