...or so they say...he may still be unconscious. Conflicting reports everywhere, but I find it odd that the Pope might die on April Fool's Day. Maybe they'll keep this going, and shout out "April's Fool", and he'll jump out of his bed and dance a jig.

If you haven't figured out by now, I just don't care. I follow the coverage because it's important to my family, and I'm usually the person they turn to when they need some kind of information, but I really don't care about his state other than the Earth is losing an extraordinary person.

As far as Italian news sources know, the Pope is unconscious from a septic shock to his system. There is a giant crowd gathering in Saint Peter's square in Italy praying for the Pope's health, and almost all the Spanish speaking news stations are transmitting something on the Pope. I haven't seen anything on the English speaking stations.

Still, I don't think his death could have a bigger impact on me than that of the over 200,000 deaths of the Indonesian people.

Latest report, the Pope is brain dead as a result of a contracted infection he received during his hospital stay. He is unconscious and his kidneys have shut down. President Bush sends his love and good spirits. (I bet that'll help.)

He is going to die, as of late I have heard nothing of it.

He doesn't deserve to die, he's lived a good life and helped everyone he could. The only 'problem' I have with him is a question of faith, and I don't even care about that. But we don't need to pray for him, if there is a heaven, he's got a first class ticket to it.

This is pretty said, whether or not you are a Christian.

Here is this elderly old man dying a death he doesn't deserve, right after the Teri Schavio case. Jeez, bad week. In my opinion, he would never be afraid of death, and neither would be Terri Schavio.

Terri Schavio couldn't fear it anymore.
The Pope has no reason to.

wow.. That's just wrong. He's done so much for the world. I mean almost all of his Masses he's done like broke out into riots.... I think... That's crushing. I mean he even went face to face with people who would kill him. Even a sbullet shot at him and it landed just inches away from his major organs. He deserves a ton of honor.

Ah, the man is dying, get over it. Ah, the woman is dying, get over it. Ah, you'll die someday too, get over it. People live, people die. The only question is when.

I'm sure you meant Catholic.

But yeah, it's dissapointing yes, but at least we all know after 15 days after his death another Pope will be selected.

There is a philosophy outt here that says he will be the last pope for one hundred years.

No not that he's going to die and no one will become poe again.

Just that when he dies all of the other popes who follow him aren't going to accomplish much. This is based off of a philosophy which says that the Devil and god play witht he earth in centurial incriments. Meaning that 1900-1999 was god's century, and now 2000-2099 is Satan's century.

The philosophy is rather interesting and it might actually be true, because if you date it back, a lotof bad things happened in the centuries satan controlled, and a lot of good things hapened in the centuries god controlled. Pretty freaky stuff.

And Zabuza, stop being a heartless bastard, his death won't effect me much, but you don't go badmouthing people who pretty much run religions. Because if their religion is the true one, then you are fucked royally.

Rest-in-peace, I guess.

He'll be probably missed by alot of people (I'm not one these, thought).

'"Our Holy Father John Paul, 84, has returned to the house of the Father," Archbishop Leonardo Sandri told the crowds.' So what is the point in mourning?

Xeomega- Thanks. My family's Christian so I get the two mixed up.

Zabuza- Wow. Just because you think death is unemotional, there are more than likely hundreds of people extremely upset by this. I can see how some people would not be upset that much, (I'm not too uspet), but you have to be empatheitc.

Xeios- Even though it is interesting, good and bad things happen every century. People can't prejudge a destined century by an observation of major events. You never know.

Yeah, especially when you consider that the century apparently under God's control had both world wars, the use of nuclear weapons, the Cold War and all affiliated incidents, and the invention of boy bands. I shudder to think what Satan could do that's worse.

Actually, no, I don't have to be empathetic. I don't have to be anything. And, you're wrong, I don't think that death is unemotional. I just think the death of the Pope is about as worthless as that of an ant. But, that's my opinion.

I'm much more concerned with the hundred of thousands lost during the Indonesian disaster. I understand that there are people on this planet that have great sympathy and empathy for the man that died...but he was just that...a man. Nothing more, nothing less.

I guess I'm not the religious type...surrealism, existentialism, hacktivism, Buddhism (I don't consider this a religion, but a state of mind), take-the-world-as-it-comes-ism, whatever works for the time being. I'm not an atheist...just agnostic.

But no matter the faith, the beliefs, the facts or the fiction, death is death. Period.

I don't know how many times I will have to point this out but: Catholics are Christian, it is the original form of Christianity, the rest are forms of Protestantism.

Anywho, I gotta agree with Pat Meth, if the last one was God's century I'm afraid to see what Satan's gonna do. *thinks "boy band death metal"* Oh gods, no!!!!

I've been born and raised a Christian ... trust me, they're different. I can't explain it because I don't really know what to say, but seriously, they're not entirely similar at all.

I sometimes wish I was raised Catholic though, from what I've seen, they're much more laid back about most things.

Anyways the Pope's death to this "Philosphy" you're all talking about is mainly Revelations.

No, they are the same. A "Christian" believes that Jesus was the son of God... that is what Catholics believe. Until the Protestant reformation, the Catholic church was the only church, then Lutheranism, Calvanism, Church of England, and the others came. Since then Protestant Christians have said that Catholics are not the same, and in many practices they are, but they are still fundamentally Christian because of that core believe in Jesus.

So you're basically calling me Catholic ...

Christians, do not affiliate with the "Pope" in anyway whatsoever.

There's a difference.

And there's many more ...

Just because they originate from the same thing, doesn't mean they're "still" the same thing.

Yes the core belief of believing Jesus as the Son of God is there, but I'm pretty sure Catholic's do not believe Mary the virgin is the mother of Jesus, in which Christians highly do.

Catholism is under the entire Christian belief. Christians = Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Example: Christian = Lutheran, Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Televangelist, whatever.

Yeah, my point too.

You can't just say that Christians and Catholics are alike just because they're branches of the same thing basically, because there's many other religions out there that can be very similar too.
