2. ACT: Advanced Character Training

Not too long after you set out on your journey you finally reach your destination: The great and beautiful kingdom in which the grand and famous Supreme Trainer resides- Avalus, a medieval kingdom with futuristic assets. You walk through the people-filled streets and admire the liveliness of the place. Odd-shaped hover-carriages glide just a couple above the ground and pass you with a constant, noisy hum. Someone offers you a ride to see the trainer and you gladly accept. Upon arriving at the gates of the Grand Palace you are escorted to the royal training center where the trainer awaits. A few other people are there as well, sparring with each other in the background. The trainer, older, but strong looking, walks up and welcomes you, then suggests to get started.

"Well, young warrior, we have much to do. In order for you to survive out in the world as a fighter you must learn just how to do it. That is what I am going to help you with today. You will learn just about everything there is to know on how to fight. You will go through 9 lessons during this session, of which some will be together. Now, let's waste no time. The first subject will be attacking and magic usage. Everybody should know how to do these, yes, but it is good to review even the basics.

Your basic attack is nothing more than trying to hit your opponent. You describe what you are doing and what the attack will do, but not so that you control if he gets hit. Magic is the same way. You use a spell and say what it does. I will not go further into this because you should already know this. So, what I want for you to do is to attack me physically, and then if you use magic, cast a spell at me.

"Hmm..."

Cairoi slowly unsheathed his blade and rested the tip of the blade on the ground. Immeaditly, hard chunks of soil and rock begun to slither up the medium length blade and make a relatively humongous great sword. Thanks in due part to Cairoi's telekinetic-like control over all earthen elements (water, earth, plant, ore, lightning), Cairoi could actually swing this gigantic blade with ease and speed. Cairoi swung his arm in a full 180 degree radius with the diamond-serrated edge (diamond deposits deep beneath the earth rose up with the soil) facing the left side of the trainer's stomach.

No sooner than the sword make a clean cut did a mysterious light emit from it. It started at one end and travel to the other side of the cut. The Supreme Trainer's wound was healed in no time.

"Hm, do you not have any magical attacks? Well, it does not matter if you do not."

The Supreme Trainer contiues on with his teachings.

"Well, you know how to correctly do that. Next I'll will tell you about spell charging. In this realm, the casting of high level magic spells requires you to gather enough energy for it. A level one or two spell does not need a great amount, therefore you are able to use them instantly. Anything beyond a level two spell has to be "charged". The amount of time needed is called a "post". One post of charging is needed for a level three spell. Two posts are needed for level 4, and the amount of posts required keeps raising by one for each level you want to use. Be careful about when you want use a high level spell, for you cannot attack or defend while doing so, making yourself vulnerable. However, setting up a defense beforehand is a strategy you can use. Now, I want you to use a post charge a spell and then cast it on me during the next one. If you do not use magic, then you can simply use one of your skills. If you have no high level skill then we will proceed with the next lesson.

Cairoi began chanting under his breath, allowing his blade to fall to his waist. He lowers his head and closes his eyes and continues the incantation. Deep from within him, spiritual energy began to release itself and manipulate the air around him.

"Somu Renswa Fru Cha Loc Samalan..."

"Okay, well done," say the Supreme Trainer. "Now you can release the attack whenever you are ready. However, you may also continue charging the spell if you wish to see how much power you can invoke. For time restrictions I will have to limit you to the 6th charge."

OOC: Delete my post if you wish, but I'd like to finish this as soon as possible.

Cairoi's eyes opened in a flash as the air currents made a point of whirlwind-like constant spinning that would rip apart flesh as though it was not even there. Cairoi released the humongous air spear at the trainer. The spinning air blast was concentrated into a 6ft area from the center, but it would travel for until opposing air currents killed it. The blast moved faster than the speed of sound as it left Cairoi's extended palms, pushing him back a few feet. The most concentrated center of the cone was aimed at the lowest point of the ribcage where no strong muscles exist on the human anatomy, making it a perfectly vulnerable spot.
