| Ok everyones getting ready for summer, many people are going on vactions and some are just gonna stay home and relax. Well as for me I have a problem. There's this girl at school I want to ask out but she doesn't want to go out with anyone because summer is here and school is almost out.
I've tried asking her out before but something always comes up. For instance... we were at a relay for life thing at our school a while back and I was gonna ask her out then. About the time I was going to my "former" drumline section leader pulled me away from her and her friends because we had to go practice for the performance we were gonna give that nite. She eventually found out that I liked her and told me I should have asked her earlier and she would have said yes...."i feel so stupid"....anyways I would like to see her over summer and I would like to go out with her next school year..."which is 3 months away, then maybe I'll get to see her again"...Theres also a catch to this though. If i was to go out with her my parents may flip out. Because our religions aren't exactly the same. Im christian but shes not. I know that may be strange a christian guy liking a goth girl but I don't act all that christian either. If you didn't know me and seen me on the street or something you probably think I was a goth, u could also say im kinda a "hypocrit". If I did go out with her my parents would probably be pissed but thats beside the point. I like her for her and shes very cute, so my parents could just shovit. If someone has some advice I would like to hear it please. |

| Situations like this suck. I know from my own former relationships. If I were in your situation I would more than likely be doing the same thing that you're doing. In all actuality I would talk to my parents about this before I made any sudden movements towards a relationship with this girl.

| If you like her then it shouldn't really matter what your parents think, especially if there just going to look at the fact that she isn't into the "same religion" as them or don’t like what she wears, or if she’s a goth.. But it would be a good idea to tell your parents that you want to go out with her, its your decision after all, not your parents. Cause then they wont freak out if they see you with her and make a scene etc.

| Well, since "goth" isn't a religion I am driven to ask this: what religion is she?
But seriously, unless it's an uber big thing to you, or your parents are just that damn anal retentive about it, it doesn't matter that she isn't the exact same religion as you. When me and my fiancee started dating and even before that when we started liking each other I was Wiccan and he was a Jehovah's Witness but we didn't care. His folks did, but he didn't... course he sorta got the hell out of that thing around the time we started dating but that has a whole long speil behind it. If you want to wait until school starts that is fine I guess, since the way you say it she doesn't want to see anybody over the summer so that should leave you with a chance. |

| Woo Hoo i like threads being posted about me.. I guess im sorta christian... But i go out with some one which it probably wont last long so hang in there oni... But then again you never know... We might be together forever.. Hm.. sorry if im confusing someone...

| Hmn, well given that this thread is about someone on the board, and that it could possibly cause problems if others spot this, I think that it would be prudent if I do my job and close this. Otherwise, for future referrence, don't make threads like this about other board members. Thankfully this one didn't turn into a bitter fight yet.
