Elara: I think you just redefined the word insult... because what I said was neither an insult or a flame...

I told Jin to pursue an action... that action to some may seem disgusting depending on gender and sexual preference...

are you being homophobic Elara? then get off my back.... cause your warning is BS

Spartan: cheating is stupid... but it all comes down to evaluation of alternatives....

if cheating is giving you something you want, and you don't think the emotional cost is too high, then you go for it...

that same theory explains why people break up.... if being single is seen as better for the person than staying in the relationship.... then quite often they break it off

oh, and just to head it off now, I do realize break ups are more complicated than that.... but it does explain quite a bit of why they happen

Haha. This is turning into Vizzed... not fun.

Randy, My post offered SOME insight onto another's post. His views on love are obviously one sided and fucked up.

Whereas 'eat a dick' is just fucking stupid. And reflects the intelligence of the poster pretty well.

No basically you are implying your views are absolutly the truth, whereas Geeo has already been farther then nearly any of us in relationships with "marriage" and all. Think you need to check your facts.

I think you are trying to be a lamer too...

(Haha. This is turning into Vizzed... not fun.)

What is that supposed to mean? There is nothing wrong with Vizzed.

Look, I'm just doing my job. Yes, Jin's original comment was a bit harsh, but no staff said anything about it. I was first to spot Geeogree's comment and it was just messed up. Instead of giving a logical rebuttal like you're supposed to do, he said "suck a dick". Yes, very mature.

Now, if this is going to turn into a complaining thing and get horribly off topic then the thread will have to be closed and that sucks because it is a good topic. So how's about we all just get along?

Back on topic:

A very simplified view of cheating and breaking up geeogree, but it is accurate. What gets me is why some people cheat when they are getting everything that they supposedly need. You want sex, your getting it and you brag how good it is, so why are cheating? I've seen it happen to friends and I don't get it at all.

Where does it implcitly state that just because someone is married they know more about relationships or even what love is about?

Loveless marriages exist. I was the product of one.

And harsh doesn't really require staff intervention. Flaming on the other-hand. That's a different story.

i'll just go on and add another reason why some people might cheat.
you're in a good relationship with someone, but you find someone better. not to say that the original person is bad, but that the second person gives more insight into things in a different and better way.

this isnt cheating but at least has something to do with the topic... remember what happened in cast away, with tom hanks. supposibly he died and his wife moved on in less than two years. he comes back, and her original love is still there, but she has a new life now. it's hard to choose.

Believe me I am possitive Geeo knows more about relationships then 99.9% of us here. I know for a fact he knows more then me....

So is Britney Spears... Your point?

Ummm Geeo's comment should be considered "harsh" too then. You really know a lot about these things dont you...

So, just because he knows more than you, you assume he knows more than everyone else here? I believe that statement is sufficient and that I don't need to take THAT matter nay further.

I believe his point is that being married does not immediately make you more knowledgeable about love than an unmarried person. But, hey, maybe I'm just looking at the obvious interpretation.

Y'know something? This board's run differently from AR. Things that you'd let fly over there, presumably just because he's one of your friends, are things that are not allowed over here.

You really know a lot about these things, don't you?

Hmm you fail... At least I didnt bring exploiters to boards because yours failed. Im sorry but you loose. Not everyone knows you brought the hacker here do they?

Edit: Me a Xeo are VERY good friends. I've known Xeo before Acmlm's. I prolly known Xeo longer then nearly all of you. Dont think I am attacking his board or make it seem that way because I am not.

I don't know how I noticed this thread, but I'm glad I did.

Totally off-topic: About staff, all I will say is that we're more laid back here (in comparison to other boards in general). People will be harsh, and people will be harsh back. As long as it doesn't turn into a little kids playground, I think we can get over it. I really don't want this to be a place where once there's flaming, a thread is instantly closed. (unless, like I said, it's completely stupid)

On top of that I see Elara has posted here, and has let the thread continue so I think that means this thread is in a fine fashion currently.

I know that's off topic, and I have nothing to say On-Topic because I've never been in a relationship (knowing my luck it might be a few years), I just felt like adding that ...

Cheating-their is no explanation for this...this really sucks when you cheat on someone or someone cheats on you...i went out with somone for three years...what a waste i found out she cheated on me for one of those years...sorry but that really hurts...and if you cheat dont you have a concouis...doesnt it bother you at all... if Love=Pain why would you inflict more pain on someone else who actually cares about you...think about that for a little bit...

there was alot of post people made but this one caught my attention the most.
I feel the same way, why would the person do this to you? specially if you been so sweet to them, caring and loving and then they decide they want to cheat on you but still be with you, there selfish, they don't care about your feelings... it hurts...

now one of the members who talked about finding some one better, I mean if you love the person your with but they don't really treat you like they should, does it make it okay when you find some one else that does? is it really okay to just sacerfise everything that you have now for some one else that is treating you better with the love and caring that you need? is it? or should you deal with the pain?

no i didnt mean it like that at all. i just meant that just because you're in a relationship does not mean that you're in it for life. i mean, people will die or something, and you'll move on. and why should one have to "Deal"? there's millions of fishes in the sea, why would you need to deal? i understand how much effort and energy you've invested into the relationship, but when it goes down to it, it's really what's better for you. i'm not talking about shallowness, i'm just saying that if there's someone who understands you better, there's no point in not pursuing it.

and about all the off-topic-ness, it's done and over with, so why are people trying to start it up again? Tamarin is being very civil about this, so why continue randy? it's done already...

oh no I wasn't quistioning you like you were wrong I was agreeing but I had some thoughts and I wanted to know what they were because I honestly don't know about that kind of cheating I feel a bit confused and lost so I was just asking quistions that I really didn't know to.
I'm really not sure leaving some one who doesn't treat you right for some one else that does is a good thing or a bad thing or a little both...

I think if you are in a relationship and the person you are with treats you badly.... then leave them.... regardless of whether you have something better lined up..

in fact, it's probably better that you don't have anyone lined up and that you are just leaving the person because of the abuse and not because you think you found someone better
