People are ranting off about money and such, but it really has nothing to do with it.

The prosecution messed up their chances by trying to nail him for the first charge.

yeah, that's the hard thing about molestation. rape you can easily do with DNA and all that other junk, but molestation is another ballgame. yeah, reasonable doubt is hard, but still, a hung jury was what i was expecting.

and yeah, what does your mom giving you wine when you were younger have to do with anything? who says it's wrong? it's against the law is what it is. the law has nothing to do with what's "right," it's what THE MAN has decided that it is illegal is all. being illegal and right is not the same thing. and plus, this isnt italy, germany or france, it's america. and if you want to follow suit through that logic, then don't chew gum anymore because it's illegal in singapore...

but yeah, i feel sorry for him losing his childhood and all that, but deal! i mean, once he made all that money, he could've easily stopped and went on with his life at the age of 18 when he was a legal adult, but nope, he didnt.

True...true. Actually, its not illegal in the Southern states if you're on YOUR property and YOUR parents are giving it to you. Anyways, I was just stating that there really isn't a lot wrong with alcohol...THE MAN just makes it seem worse than it is.

Anyways, yes, he could have gone at 18...but you also have to realize what kind of man his father was. He made Michael believe that he HAD to do it because his family needed the money. You don't realize what kind of fear a father like that can actually put into his children.

actually, it's not because they "needed the money" i mean, they're already making millions already by that time. what kept him going was his religion, "obey thy father and thy mother." he took it to the extreme.

It is legal if your PARENTS give it to you on your property. Michael Jackson gave it to him on his property, is not his parent, and he gave it to him disguised in a soda can and didn't tell him what it really was. You gotta admit that is a bit odd.

Okay, but you've got to admit, Jackson was scared of his father. I mean the guy was abusive...and if its religion that kept him going, that can be just as strong as fear.

*Laughs* Avatar, are you a big Jackson fan??

Hey, Jackson deserved to get off scott free. There really was no proof. And the parents really shouldn't be able to do anything about it. its about time those assholes let him get along with his life. I mena, his whole world is screwed up for ever having to go to court for his 'crime' twice.
