One of the coolest FPS's out there. Just think the new age Doom and more light hearted. A total of about 38 levels this game will last you for awhile. Also it has co-op gameplay. Which adds more enemies and is just a hell of a lot better with another person playing. Me and Xeo were playing yesterday for about an hour. Also has the classic deathmatch mode where you and your friends can battle it out.
This is a definete buy if your a FPS fan and were a fan of the Doom games. Also it has a great lineup of different type of guns. Some of the enemies are building high and maybe even bigger! I got this game for $13 and it's totally worth it. I know the second one has been out for PS2 and PC but I'm waiting for it come out on XBOX. With duel weilding and vehicles added to the sequel theres even more mayhem. I hear they have set a record for most enemies on a screen in a FPS. I thought the first one was insane. Anyways if you seen this game anytime at gamestop or anwyhere else get it. It's totally worth the money. (Last edited by Shinobi on 07-20-05 04:21 PM) |

I found a hidden Minigun in one of the first levels.
This game does rock though. The humor is akward but funny, you'll just like Sam (makes me think of Duke Nukem sometimes, minus the babe obsession). This game is definitely very Quake-Doom-ish, but still doesn't take away the fun. Supposedly this game has the record for most enemies on the screen at once, it gets pretty intense. I definitely recommend this one to FPS fans also, if you don't go in expecting a great storyline, but great gameplay instead, you'll love it. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10 for Gameplay, it's just a game you can pop in and have fun with in minutes. |

It's a very fun, fast-paced, and ridiculous game. It sort of reminds me of Painkiller, just with a different theme and setting. I haven't played it for while, though, since the last time I borrowed it was about a year ago. My friend got it used (for Xbox), and it got a disc-read error 2/3 of the time it loaded anything, but I still managed to finish the game. I haven't played Serious Sam: The Next Encounter, but I might soon to keep my mind off of Serious Sam II until later this year. | |||

Good ol' Serious Sam. A very fun game to play. It reminded me lots of other monster FPS's like Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem. But it was more "colourful". And of course there are lots of enemies. I was playing co-op, and was stuck in a arena type thing, and there were just enemies after enemies. Some were monstrous in size. VERY big just for stage enemies. I played it for Xbox, but I also saw one in Future Shop for the PC that looked older. It was going for $1.
Edit: I hate Laptops. =/ (Last edited by The Politician on 08-22-05 12:39 AM) |
