This is a big disappointment. No one wants to play video games with a remote control . How the hell can one play with that? Now I am disappointed. The only reason I have to get a Revolution is for Metroid Prime 3

While I dislike the general idea, I'll give it a chance. I figure that there's two possibilities here for how this could go. Either Virtual Boy or DS. Complete flop or surprisingly popular.

I'm gonna give it a chance.

And it's really unwise to post pictures in a scrollbar layout. Seriously, you may as well just link to them, since there's no other way that people will see the whole thing (short of turning layouts off or going to newreply)

Yes, we used to have a "turn off layout" feature, but unfortunatly that disappeared. I also linked to the pictures, if you didn't read.

I am agreed that it is a disappointment. I however will also give it a chance, seems how I am a nintendo gamer nerd. It is just hard for me to think about playing a game with a slender remote control-like controller. I believe it also has a clicker mouse or something weird that you hold in the other hand so you can't even use both hands if you wanted to on the remote.

Or at least that's the impression I get. I'm still unclear on the last part.

I saw the commercial, and just couldn't stop laughing.

Seeing 4 people on a couch swinging a remote controller around in the air looked beyond retarded.

I really don't know what to say about this, it's actually kind of disappointing in my opinion ... I just wonder how the classic games are going to work out also.

Really, it's an interesting idea, but it should have been something like Sony's EyeToy. Optional, for optional games. I do not for one want to be forced to swing something around in the air to simply play a videogame.

So yeah, a lot of my faith in Nintendo dropped when I saw this. For now, I'm not even sure if I'm interested in getting a Revolution. If I do, it'll probably only be for the classic games, and GC backward compatibility because this ... ugh, I don't know. I really won't be surprised if Nintendo loses a ton of 3rd Party's because of this, we'll probably be seeing just as many Revolution games as we are DS (which is not that much at all).

Ive given up hope for the next gen consoles... Im quite happy to keep my X-Box, PS2, and pick up a Gamecube for 30 bucks for quite a bit longer. Maybe in a year or 2 ill get a PS3 or X-Box 360 if I feel like getting one... All in all, I am not to surprised or anxious to get these new consoles (unlike how exciting it was when the PS2 came out)... It all just seems... Blah... But I will rape the PS3 for its graphics card, the computer counterpart is totally outclassed by the console version. I highly doubt game makers will stop makeing games for the PS2, X-Box, and GC just because the next gen consoles came out...

Wouldn't there be an attachment or something to put in the old controllers? Because I have no clue how this would work.

There's controller ports for GC controllers on top of the Revolution, so you can use GC controllers for GC games and, I would assume, downloaded games.

You are extremely incorrect then, XBox titles will stop being made eventually because X360 will take over and there is no point in putting money and time into a product that isn't the most popular for microsoft's consoles. Standard bussiness procedures

Edit: Goes for the other two consoles also, no point in spending money on something that isn't the major money maker.

I heard of this controller from a friend at school... That alone has made this be the first Nintendo console I havent bought on the release date (Excluding those that came out before I was born).

and now I'm not sure if Twilight Princess will be released for CameCube or Revolution. They keep changing the release dates. If it does end up being for GameCube, I honestly don't think I will buy the Revolution.

Okay, I hate to sound like an ass, but you just don't get it. Move around with the analog stick. Forward, back, turn. Strafe with D Pad. up and down would change weapons, B would Jump, A would shoot. Aim at a door and "shoot it", it opens. Shoot offcreen to reload. I don't grasp what's so hard about it. Also, SIdeways, it's a NES Controller.
Evo: Yes, that's right. Pass up 20 years of Backwards Compatablity (FF3, Chrono Trigger, Super Castlevania 4, Goldeneye, Super Mario Bros. 3, Metal Gear, Contra, etc) just because LoZ: TP won't be released on it. That definately makes sense. Also, seeing as how Nintendo always prices their shit lower than everyone elses, I could see this at a solid $199. I can afford that, and then some.

I'm afraid you don't get it Clock. Take a second look at the controller. If you turn it sidways, you can't hold it like a normal controller, the sides would be too far out.

I hate the idea of the remote in a whole. Think about it, Clock. "Strafe with the D Pad"

Look at the D pad, and look where the buttons are.

If we were going to have to use two hands, then they should have just improved the freaking Gamcube controller.

If they wanted that stupid sensor to "slash" the screen, then throw a sensor infront of a controller.

"One hand gaming!" the analog adaptor destorys that idea.

Don't worry, it's way too far into development and completion with the Gamecube, it's just been delayed until next year.

But yeah, it'll be for the Cube. I hope the wait is worth it (the long wait for OoT definitely was).
