| It's really tough when you have that helpless feeling. It can be pretty overwelming when you're managing a life of your own as well. As far as distractions, if you can play pool I've found that this help a great deal to take your mind off things. I know it sounds odd, but it works. If you want an outsider to talk to, someone who isn't involved in the situation..well I don't know you very well but PM me if you're willing to take my offer.
I hope you figure something out. I know that helpless feeling all too well. |

| Pool, drawing, weight training, RPing, writing... all things that are good distractors. Reading as well actually. Pick a series you've been wanting to read (the longer the better) and you'd be surprised how you get distracted. I'd recommend a few good series, but I am not sure how into D&D novels you are (War of the Spider Queen is both long and good, and Year of Rogue Dragons is awesome if only a trilogy). Creating things is a good outlet as well, so things I mentioned above like writing and drawing work wonders... you can even go farther and create campaign worlds or webcomics or flash movies... learning to do something like the last two is time consuming but ultimately can cheer you up by feeling accomplished and really take your mind off things.

| Thanks for some of the ideas. And I'll call this weekend when I can Geoff.
As it is, I'm running a fantasy SilCORE game on the weekend with my friends, and playing a lot of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on my buddies PS2 to keep myself distracted. Anyhow, I'll reply again later when I have time. Thanks for the help you guys, I'll read through this stuff later over again on the weekend when I actually have some time to deal with things  |
