This movie was fantastic. Will Ferrell is as glorious as ever and the movie keeps you hanging till the very end, even though your already told the ending. I personally love will ferrell's acting when he plays a more serious role, suck as this film or Melinda and Melinda.
The movie itself though is Halarious, very depressing at some parts too. Its a great piece of fiction, what more can i say except go see it.

I also really enjoyed this movie. IT was really unique and I Loved the scenes with the author doing her research.

This was a very good movie, though not what I expected. In fact, the narrating was barely in the movie, it just made him realize that he's in a story. But Dustin Hoffman's scenes were definitely the best parts of the movie.

Spoiler:

What bugs me is that Hoffman said that it was an incredible book, that wouldn't work without the ending, but I don't see how having him survive made any difference.

I love how he got saved at the end!

ThexEdit: Small mistake on your spoiler there, FX.

ThexEdit2: And a bigger mistake on my correction.

If Will Ferrel had died, and there was no author commentary, it would have been a great tragedy. But I thought it was still a decent comedy.

I'd say ... an 8 maybe?

I honestly didn't really have any interest in seeing it, but just went because a ton of my friends were (it was funny how a few of them expected a serious comedy). Overall though I thought it was really enjoyable, and I'd say Will Ferrel pulled of his role perfectly. You ended up really feeling for him. Dustin Hoffman was great in it too.
