Even though I don't SIM these days, and haven't for ... like what, almost a year now? I am reminded of a lot of these things also, going way back to the days of X-Realms, A-US, and Shadows Edge (well I mean heck, Sparda, myself, and a select few have been a pack for almost 2-3 years now? Man ...) One thing that comes to mind, Benja ... Benja, in my eyes hasn't changed. I mean Benja, you're still the same Benja I know, but back in the day when you were a FM on A-US, you were just more active in the whole thing. You were the arrogant one, and one of the few members I used to picture as a Wrestler. 
I believe my first battle was with Artemis herself. Benja got me into it, and said I should try it out. And I did, and I remember asking Artemis how well I did on a scale of 1-10, and I believe she gave me a 6.5 at that time. 
I can hardly remember SIM Battling back on A-US, but I can remember doing it a lot at SE, and MoD. Heck looking back at archive.org, you can see I ran Tournaments!
Leon was a real newbie too back in the day. I remember when he was introduced by Benja at A-US. It really didn't take long for him to fit in the world of Simming at all, and he quickly earned his respect. Then there was Inuyasha, or should I say ... Kaijin. I don't remember you being too active back at A-US Kai, but after I convinced you to join SE and help me out with the place, and then put you on staff (Kaijin's been everything), you really earned your respect, and everything. And in these days, when people ask who the best Sim battlers here are, you're one of the 2 names I usually hear, you and Sparda. 
This thread doesn't really make me think of Sim, but just of things back in the day. I personally, have come a very long way. I was originally banned from Acmlm's back in 02, for spamming via Private Messages, and advertising. But hey, I was completely new to Message Boards, was 15, and hardly knew how to use the internet for purposefuly things.
Then I can think back to my posts on Vizzed ... I remember probably 80% of them, were definitely a sentence long, maybe 2, and maybe even shorter. I used to post a lot, but probably too much, because half the time my posts were probably worthless. I remember getting over 4,000 posts at that place ... Spyware, hehe ... You were so new back in the day. I remember when you joined Masters of Darkness you were completely new to boards, but you really quickly learned, and quickly adapted. I'd have to say, you've come a very long way yourself.
Marik, he was one of the few who started up MoD back in the day. It would be nice to se him around the place thesedays more often, but he does stop by from time to time. Guess you just can't expect everyone to hold on forever? Now that I really do think about my name change though, my big change from MS, to Xeogred, I do believe I had a battle revolved around it. At first I remember my character could transform into a more powerful "true" form (yeah yeah, I was a cheesy fighter), and my characters 2nd entity was known as Xeogred. Eventually I just had my character permanently transform, and went with the name change. I sometimes neglect A-US. I think Sparda strongly knows how I feel about that place. I enjoyed it, and met a ton of people there (a lot of people there did truly leave to help me build MoD, and from there on out, Xeogaming, it's no argueable fact), but whenever I think of that place, I just get a weird feeling. Even though I eventually became a Local Mod there, I just always had this feeling, of lack of respect. I felt like, most of the more known members there, just didn't care about me (Seto especially). That's one of the major reasons why I eventually decided to just drop my position, and go back to Vizzed back in that time, and ultimatly ended up leaving the place. I've done my share of being staff on plenty of other boards, and have been pretty well known on others, but in this day, I just care about one major place, and that's here. This all kind of makes me want to go back in time. I don't want to sound dramatic, but yeah, those days were fun. When I really think about it, I've known some of you guys here for a very, very long time. Good times.

Well, activity has seen it's better days, even in this day. But, I take one quick look at other communities our size, and I'm quickly reminded of how great this place is, and how much people really care about it. And yeah, I've had my real bad times with restarts. I will admit, because it's no lie, there were those few times I said to myself "I'm through with it", but because of the size of this place, the amount of friends and support I have gotten, it's because of you guys, that this place is even still around, seriously. If it weren't for the community, this place would be a sitting duck, or heck, maybe not even around? You guys really do have to thank yourselves also, I highly respect all of you.
Well thanks everyone, this really made my day. It's really nice seeing you guys care, about a simple little thing I've created, this place. All I said to myself back in 03 was "I want to make my own board and have it setup my own way", I still find it almost hard to believe, my "little idea" has come this far. And again, thanks for the compliments. Really, I'm flattered.
But seriously, it's good to hear your guys input on how I am with this place. I will from here on out, and as always, continue to do what I do best here, and always look out for this place, and ensure it's fufilling the communities needs. Edit: Well, this thread did start off somewhat specific about Sim Battling back in the day, it's also kind of on a subject of old times by our oldies here. The IGN game list thing is really pretty nice. It's nicely organized and everything. So, are there others here with an IGN account, with a game list? Note: Anything I rated above a 9.5, I'd consider a "Must Own" for that system, those are A+ quality games. |

I tried searching for Jones Soda cans on google, and got nothing. Might be some special thing going on I guess, since they've only released a few flavors in boxes-cans. Heh, my friends parents picked up a bunch a few weeks back when they had a sale going on, they didn't notice they got Sugar Free Green Apple. I thought that since it had a different colored can than the usual green, something fishy was going on ... I tried it, and it was literally disgusting. I could not finish it off. Sugar Free Jones Soda - Absolutely horrible.
