Yeah, Elara has a point.
It's recommended for any picture you use you use some kind of file hosting account, like Image Shack, Photobucket, etc. That way you don't have to worry about images being "forbidden" and whatever. |

Well, those games do use the battle style dubbed the "Active Time Battle", the ATB.

Well my main and single point is, Square has Officially called there battle system in the past Final Fantasy's -multiple- times, the Active Time Battle system, again, it's been called the ATB in many magazines, and whatnot.
|
So sure, maybe no other game besides the Final Fantasy games is officially called "Active", but that's not that big of a deal, I even fixed the poll to be more clear, but that still doesn't erase the fact that RPG's have been called in the past, that have similar fighting styles to Final Fantasy I-X, "Active" fighting RPG's. Edit: There, if you guys are going to be picky about it, I redid the poll. (Last edited by Xeolord on 08-31-05 07:11 PM)

I learned XHTML today, in a few minutes!
|
But really, after reading up about it at w3schools, I wonder why it's even called "XHTML" and not just ... you guessed it, "HTML". Half the things that you "should" do in XHTML, I've alread had a habbit of doing. Using the closing p tag, aligning tags correctly and matching them with there closing tags, and whatnot. Yeah, people just thought fancy / nicely written HTML should be called XHTML? Wasn't hard to learn XML either. But, XML isn't so pointless, although I wouldn't see myself ever needing to use it, I guess it would be easy to use for organized large websites based off simple markup languages. CSS is the way to go though. Classes, styles, and everything, it seems to almost make XML and XHTML seem rather pointless. I don't know, maybe a pointless topic here, but yeah, just wanted to get this out. Really, if you know HTML fairly well, you may as well tell others you know XML and XHTML also, not much of a difference. Unless someone can explain and argue with me. Same here ...
|
I mean yeah, almost ALL RPG's that have characters taking "turns" is considered Turn Based, so yeah ... that's just a loose term I guess. But yeah, just hopefully I got my point across, but I obviously should have been more specific on that part.

Well yeah, all it's sources suggest it's set to "replace" HTML in the next couple of years or whatever, but really, it's still just regular HTML ... just nicely written. |

That's what I've been in the last couple of weeks.
|
I have had, no social life. No time to be with friends, even simply talking to some of you guys on AIM, which should say a lot ... I have school, and work. And those mixed together, has given me little to no free time, even for myself. Checked out my "Best anime deals thread" and saw that I bought Rahxephon a few days ago? Still haven't even opened it. I've played MGS3 once since I've had it, and well, you get the picture. I don't think it's going to change either. I mean, I -like- the money, it's very nice to have and get, but really ... I've hardly had any time to spend with my friends lately, and even myself and it's bugging me. It's also preventing me from doing things on the site, or having motivation to ... but it's mainly a "time" issue. Luckily my life is getting a little nicery tommorow. I'm getting my grandparents 96', 3.2TL Acura, which is very exciting and ... it's my day off! Then I work Friday, to next Wednesday, including Labor Day. At least I'm getting time a half ... but ugh. Just wanted to get that out I guess. So yeah, if you guys have noticed, I'm on AIM like what, once a week now? And it's probably not going to change, I wish it could, but I don't see it happening until like Christmas Vacation, or whatnot. So, this looks like it'll be a hectic year for me (Senior year in High School).

Actually, and I'm serious, don't do that again Xeios.
|
That is not what this forum is for, it's a random hidden forum for nothing yes, but not for literal spam.

Don't do it again.
|
Next time, I will not take my time, and manually delete the posts in the thread, instead I will probably just go into phpmyadmin and set it to delete your 100 last posts. Am I crazy!? Sure, this forum has random crap. Half the threads are about porn. Half the other threads are retarded. But that doesn't mean you can post in every single thread in this forum, purposely with absolutely no reason and no meaning other than to get your name all over the forum, or basically boost your post count. So, don't do it again ... I don't like to be strict, but truly, it wasn't very funny. (restricted) | (restricted) |

I think we (quite possibly me) just unstickied the thread, because ... well people just weren't getting a lot of name changes.
|
I just still don't see how it's that hard to tell who someone is when they get a name change. But I don't think it's too much of a big deal now, I'm not really allowing name changes at the moment (it's possible, but takes longer to put in effect since the admin panel isn't exactly working).

Yeah, that's not a lesson to Tamarin, just for others ... in case you guys didn't know I guess. Either way, I also enjoyed SMB2, regardless of it being very different, and enjoyed the Lost Levels. I would've learned a lot of HTML, XHTML, XML, PHP, and even SQL now if I would have stayed in my Web Design classes, but I decided to go into Game Design.
|
Still though, I'm learning a few things on the side here and there. You'll like Dream Weaver Desroth. Think of it as this way, if you've used Frontpage, Frontpage is like Windows Paint, and Dream Weaver is PhotoShop, you'll never want to go back. I never learned much in Flash, other than how to make simple rollover buttons, and nothing else. But I've seen some very nice Flash sites out there (Deus Ex Invisible War main site - good example). So, good luck to you Desroth.
