Also, I ordered 4 BG albums yesterday. I think I'm starting to like them a lot more than I used to. I ordered Battalions of Fear, Follow the Blind, Tales from the Twilight World, and Somewhere Far Beyond. I was about to order Savage Circus's album, but it was pretty expensive. Only available for importing, the cheapest ones were around $17, and with shipping that would've probably easily hit $20, so I'll probably wait on that. And yeah, it really struck me when seeing someone mention in some review I read about Battalions of Fear: "The quality gives off that old 80's feel to it, where you can actually hear the bass". Really, after someone pointing that out, I've noticed quite a bit. It's really easy to hear the bass in old Helloween, and Blind Guardian stuff. Pretty cool I guess.
As for reviews, I can say the same myself. I've agreed with some of them, but I can't say I've cared for a lot of reviews that get too deep into the lyrics and everything. I'm not someone who pays a lot of attention to the lyrics, so I don't really want to read about that. I've noticed that I tend to enjoy Amazon's reviews more than even Metal specific sites like MetalStorm. |

| What Helloween albums have you heard?
I think its funny to compare lyrics from Walls of Jericho, and then Keeper of the Seven Keys. Walls of Jericho is really in your face, while Keepers is like "Take my hand my friend, together we will find happiness!" and really uplifting. |

Spartan, Xmts, and Sajin ... do not post something like that again. It can be offensive. Maybe you wouldn't care if someone talked about you guys saying "He's cute, or very very ugly I'd never touch him", but some others could care and it can be offensive and annoying.

I love both Elvenking and Ensiferum, but can't say I've really given enough attention to know what they're talking about half the time.

Ah yes, well usually if I really like a band and listen to songs over and over I do notice the lyrics a lot more, and the words. So yeah, I could find myself going along with them. |

10 over is good for me, and my normal. Maybe even more if I know where I am. But, we have those few "hills" and stuff around here where people know when to go the limit. There's this one hill before my work, in my time being there I've seen these two biker cops probably pull over 100 people or so. I definitely watch my driving around there. But yeah, everyone at my work calls me turbo. I guess I drive pretty fast. I'll say "Really?" and they'll say "When you leave work we can't even see your car in like seconds". I just accelerate fast I guess.
That's just how I drive.

As in holy-crap-I-need-to-buy-more-albums-now! Absolutely incedible Hobo. Show me more, I know you have ways of hearing a lot of music ... I may join that way soon. But for now, if you have any further recommendations, please go ahead! Seriously, I absolutely loved those songs there. Vocals were very striking, and the style is incredible. @Spyware: Dude, check out Blind Guardian's Battalions of Fear if you love Helloween's Walls of Jericho that much. Its basically, 100% the exact same sound and style, but the quality seems better. Its probably my favorite BG album, and definitely a powerful album compared to many other bands. Check it out, I'm more than positive you'd like it. I could even upload a song if you insist. (restricted) |
