| So here I am thinking about what I should do with my night. Either
A) Hang out with my more true, and real friends. Watch TV, videogames, go to Wal-Mart really late and hang out outside and do random stuff or: B) Go to a supposedly "real" party with a bunch of people I know through work. Everytime a party comes up they beg me to come (honestly I am worshipped over, lol). They always say even if I didn't drink at all, my appearance would be amazing. Supposedly they're doing some kind of "Pimps and Hoe's" thing tonight, and it sounded goofy. But, as usual I doupt I'll go ... I just never do. I'm invited to almost all of these parties, but I never go. I've never drank or anything, so maybe I'm intimidated? And I can't lie, it sounds interesting because there will be a great deal of women there, honestly something I don't always see with my usual friends. But I don't know, there's always that one guy who always goes on and on about how the parties aren't that great, and when people go overboard with drinking they can get pretty retarded and stupid (Last Sunday my Asst. slept for a few hours in the office because he was so hung over). I mean I like the guys at work and everything. I don't know. Its not like I want to drink. I really have no idea what the point of this topic is, or really what point I'm even trying to make; but I'm just letting you guys know!?  (Last edited by Steve! on 10-21-06 09:35 PM) |

My internet days started around 2000-2001 when I was getting into rom hacking and game editors and things like that. This was such a long time ago, Super Mario Bros. 3 Challenge was just new and being updated and whatnot (for those who remember that ...). We wanted more traffic, so one day I decided to massively PM people over at Acmlm's (probably everyone on the first page of the memberlist) basically telling people to join our forums and post (this is obviously frowned upon), and it just so happened that Randy12345 was doing it too. We were both banned on the spot. I tried to get a few last words in and then saw a few people insult me, saying things like "Good riddance!" basically. At the time, this enraged me beyond words. So I re-registered more than a few times and continued to "try" and get some kind of point across. Again, I was completely new to the whole forum thing and barely knew what I was doing and getting into. I was permabanned from Acmlm's for about a year and half or so until the finally had to restart, and I was given another chance. Through this time is when I was active at many other boards, and held too many staff positions to be counted, and was co-owner of a few and I think Shaddows Edge might have even begun during this gap. So, by the time Acmlm's was restarted I had developed into Xeogred, and was far more mature and knowledgable about what I was doing. Now, most of the boards (a lot of Acmlm Board's) I used to post at are completely dead, and I had dropped my staff positions from all of them except for this place and Acmlm's. And yes, I've been staff at Acmlm's for awhile, from permabanned to moderator (although I'm barely active there thesedays). Just goes to say people do change.

Just an FYI, are you talking about the anime, or the newer OVA? I haven't seen the anime, but the OVA is definitely amazing (its just taking forever for them to release episodes, like more than a few months). |

Its hard to say. One thing to note though is that I've heard almost everyone say the OVA is far better than the anime, and much more true to the manga. But one things for sure, there's a heck of a lot more blood and gore. That doesn't bother me, but as Pockets said it might not be a likeable thing for everyone. Again the only bad thing about the OVA though is that there's only 2 episodes, and its taking forever for the releases. But they're really good. Even if you check out the older anime, you should check out the OVA also.

The genre? Heh, that's kind of hard to say too I guess. I really don't know what to compare it to. Its kind of like a shooter like Gungrave, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and stuff like that, but with a zombie / Dracula-based twist to it.

Well I think its setup like Chrono Cross, where the enemies are on screen and when you run up to them or whatever it enters the "battle mode" or something.

My only complaint, according to one of the GameFAQ's reviews (assuming some of those guys played the Japanese version), battles no longer give you Gil. To get Gil its a little harder this time. You have to take missions or something, and it sounds like it could get tedious towards the later parts of the game. Who knows though.
