I don't think a community college was for me. I'm currently trying to fix some other things with my life, so I took this semester off. But I have to wonder, "Do I even want to go back there?" It really felt like I was doing nothing and just going nowhere. Maybe it was just cause I was doing all the basics (again right after high school!  ), Math, History, Science, English, etc ... I dunno. The more I think about it I think I should just go straight to a university (probably KU, gets jokes like "If a caveman can do it anyone can", lol), or a specialty/technical school. My community college, although supposedly second biggest in the nation (JCCC) was just utterly boring and I didn't really get much done in the two years I've been there. GPA went down, dropped a lot of glasses, got a W ... 
I do want to work towards some kind of degree though. I've grown up with parents that didn't go to college and I think that kind of pushes me a bit to "be a little more". (Last edited by Xeoji on 05-15-08 10:17 PM) |

| XD, you guys are awesome. Code Geass is brilliant.
But uh, don't watch the video I posted in "Best Anime Scenes Findable on Youtube" until you've seen episode 1 of R2.
But yeah, I'm sure DarkSlaya will back me up, season 2 is EPIC so far. Overall I can definitely see this series becoming my top favorite.  , every episode of R2 so far has been totally intense / on the edge of your seat kind of stuff.
It's also unlike the first season, not based off a manga or anything so it's all an original story. Interesting because often that stuff gets the "fillers" label, though I definitely wouldn't give that to R2. I think it really goes to show Taniguchi, Goro is an amazing director (mentioned him above. Other series he directed: Infinite Ryvius and Planetes are the ones I've seen and they're incredible). Other new shows I've gotten into would be Soul Eater and the new Macross, Macross Frontier (or just F). It's pretty sweet so far, though a lot of the male character designs are ... scary.
Soul Eater gives off kind of a Gurren Lagann feel. Seems to have a bit of everything in it for everyone. The first episode is pretty weird and unique, it seriously looks like something Tim Burton would've come up with. And this guy rocks:  (Last edited by Xeoji on 05-15-08 10:28 PM) |

| I got bored already, lol.
Burned out I guess, then again I've just been pretty sick lately and haven't felt like playing anything, not even GTAIV which I'm really enjoying.
Seriously, an Agi build was incredible for Blacksmith. I solo'd up to 99 pretty easily. I think I just stuck to Isis'. I've got a Whitesmith now but yeah, that's kind of when I just stopped playing. In general, I can say I'm not big on MMORPG's. RO is really simple though, maybe that's why I like it sometimes. I dunno. |

| The driving is indeed different than before, I'd say it feels pretty realistic. So you definitely have to know how to manage the gas, breaks, etc instead of just flooring it the whole time. Overall though I'd say all of the controls took awhile to get used too for me (maybe because it's the 360 verison and I was used to the PS controller?). Though, it had been really long since I played a 3rd person game.
(I've beaten it, some thoughts) Overall, the game does in fact not offer as much gameplay or features that San Andreas had, or even Vice City. It's a little more limited. One thing myself and a ton of people missed were customizing cars. And it's pretty disappointing that there's only four clothes shops in the whole game. I also kind of missed not owning places, like businesses and getting money from them overtime. Regardless of being more limited than the previous games, what Rockstar really succeeded at doing here was making a very interesting main character (Niko) and a really great storyline with a huge memorable cast of characters. Seriously, if they made a movie based off this game, it'd probably be pretty damn good. By the end of the game, you will have gone through just about every emotion you could think of with Niko. He was really a likeable and remorable character, unlike the previous GTA games. On top of that they really made an awesome game here graphically, which wasn't something you could really say about the previous games which some would make fun of for looking "cartoony". This is just one of those games you really have to see with your own eyes. The middle city based off of New York's Time Square is truly amazing to see. In fact, let me just stop talking: Side by side comparisons of New York - Liberty City. So yeah, while the game is a bit simpler than the others, the plot and characters are far more engaging and the engine is just great. There's also DLC coming up of course then after that, I can only imagine the next GTA games will be really insane now that they've got the engine built and everything.
