Nothing at all really. It'll be a light Christmas according to my parents this year, they're not doing too well financially. |
 (guess that can be said for a lot of people this year though with the economy and all).
Kind of weird it's already almost Christmas, definitely doesn't feel like it at all. Doesn't look like it'll be a snowy holiday this year either around here ... anyone else? Life has been pretty terrible lately.

I haven't been very motivated in getting a job, even though I really want one right now (yeah, that makes sense?) ... I just keep trying to wait on this one warehouse position I talked about awhile ago. The pay is good, it sounds like a great company, it sounds easy and like something I could handle right now, etc. I WANT this job right now, right away. Regardless, I might just have to settle for "whatever". I guess I'm being fairly ignorant here, but ugh. I could maybe get a job at a gas station, but then I think "Do I want to deal with idiot customers everyday again?" (after dealing with that for almost three years at Jiffy Lube). Maybe a Quik Trip, my friends recommend it, pay is decent, good company, etc... It's either *DING MAGIC* I get that warehouse position and life gets fun and easy, or I'm probably going to have to do shit I don't want to for meh pay that'll just help me "get by". I guess that's life? If I don't get a job by the end of this month I'm gonna be totally fucked, even under my parents roof still. They're not doing great at all. My dad's business has crumbled due to the economy and everything (he's been searching for work all over for the last month or two, much harder than I have and still doesn't seem to have a lot of luck), my mom has a weird neck injury preventing her from work. I've got a medical bill that's basically going to destroy my wallet once I get it. I don't know what the hell I'm going to do if I don't get a job soon. In addition to this my sleeping has been really fucked up lately. I'm not even sure what the cause of it is. I think I've discussed this before over the last year or so, with meds and such, my sleeping has been pretty odd. For the last 2-3 weeks, it's been hard getting through a day without taking a nap. I still can't fall asleep until really late at night (I should say early morning, ~4am), then I might wake up around noon which is fine ... get up for awhile, eat breakfast ... then I end up climbing back in bed for another few hours. I hate this more than getting too much sleep, or not getting enough sleep at all. It's just really annoying and no matter how hard I try sometimes to stay up, I've just been extremely exhausted and restless lately for some odd reason. This probably isn't helping in looking for a job and whatnot. Also on top of this, this just generally doesn't make life fun. I'll want to watch some anime, play some videogames, listen to music or something, but then due to being so damn tired I might not end up doing it at all. Seriously, if I could just get that job, bam. Life would be great. But it's not so simple is it? I love being pessimistic!  (Last edited by Xeu on 01-06-09 04:25 AM)

After a good time of hanging out with some friends last night, I was driving home (totally sobered up mind you) and hit something on the road. What did I expect? I figured hey, it's your typical random cup someone threw out or just a bag of junk. So I just kept driving. Nope, that junk had to be fucking concrete or something. It sounded like I got in a car wreck, it was not good at all. Pulled over (by the way this is 3:30 AM) since it was just terrible sounding and I noticed my hood started steaming. Radiator fluid was all over the hood and everywhere, I looked under the car to see what I could and there's was a big dent in something with my skid plate pretty much destroyed. I can't even put into words how furious I was last night. My parents have absolutely no money whatsoever to help me out with this right now. I don't either, since I've got a medical bill to pay for this month that's going to really hurt me. I hope I can call them in to work out a plan to cut it in half or something. Well I took the car into a shop today (after putting some water in the radiator... it's all I could do right now). Luckily, it mainly was just the radiator that got damaged and they guy called Advanced Auto Parts, it turned out to be much cheaper than I thought it'd be. I've also got a guy willing to replace it. One of the fans is totally done now too though, whenever I start up my car it makes an extremely loud noise for awhile hitting something. The guys also said I was really lucky since something was barely hitting my belts ... that' would've been the whole damn engine probably. It's good to get that info out of the way, but yeah. Now, without a car and a job, I need to come up with the money to fix this somehow. Luckily I've got a guy I somewhat know at a Lowe's here who might be able to get me a position. I really hope that works out. Until then it looks like I might have to resort to selling some stuff, like my Wii or something since I never use it... I hate to do it, but I need money. Boy, I thought things couldn't get any worse. What kind of dumb luck is that? I swear some moron had to put that out in the road for a prank or something. No job and now no car for awhile.
